Strictly blaming the wife is obviously not what I was getting at Yet it's a buildup of mental issues.. Tom Brady did leave his wife because he was a football player and she wanted more Josh is always identified as a football player who only wanted to bring a championship to Buffalo .. now he's thinking he's more than that because his wife is telling him that This is the highest level muppy.. until you call it quits these guys have to identify as football players.. because the second you think you're anything more you're losing an edge Even the smallest Edge is big in the NFL where there's guys who put their body on the line every snap

Hate to say this … but the Pats are effing good

Impossible to say they are "effin good." They've played two good teams all season. They lost to one, and it took 3 dumb turnovers, terrible officiating, and a few miraculous plays by Maye to beat the other by 3 points. We don't know what they are because they haven't played anyone and don't have a track record. I don't view them as contenders this year. I think they can be, very soon, but they need another off-season. -
I mean I would want MY wife to think I am more than just my chosen career. What is exactly wrong with that? It doesn’t mean he’s gone soft or is going to retire early. Allen doesn’t take the beating a guy like Andrew Luck or David Carr took. Even when he does get hit, he’s good at minimizing the impact. The NFL has made tremendous strides in protecting the QB. I think Allen is too much of a competitor to leave the game early. I can honestly picture him playing until 40. Who knows what medical technology will be available by then ?

It’s fun watching a team win 40-9 and people want more from the QB. My guess is Allen will get his chance next week to be Superman.

10/26/25 GAMEDAY Bills at Panthers post game thread

Not to mention Fins crush Falcons. I know it won't happen, but in my dreams T Mac somehow becomes a Bill. He's the outside receiver Coleman was supposed to be plus great over the middle. With a quality QB he'd be electric. -
He's openly said in the past that he likes being in the shotgun. Pretty sure all QBs prefer it. For the second part- I have no evidence or quotes to back what I'm saying like above, but Just watch Josh Allen since 2020. He's by far at his best when he's throwing to shifty WRs and has rhythm in terms of attempts.

They're gonna cancel Christmas and stamp our meal cards "no dessert". -
I understand all of that yet at the end of the day the Giants won the super bowl versus an undefeated New England Patriots with their third receiver having less than 300 yards on the season Josh Allen is the greatest talent I've ever seen in 35 years of playing coaching and scouting And he has the ability to get it done when it matters.. I believe that.. we have more offensive talent than that Giants team Which had an old plaxico burress, an old Armani tumer and their number three wide receiver one for 300 yards

This post reads very logical and based on what I see valid. Thank you for this and not blaming wifey lol Blame Hailee seriously? Is this a joke?

Agreed Tom can only dream about having the same athletic gifts and arm talent as our boy Josh 😉

Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?

I’m not going to say Josh hasn’t missed a few here and there, but it’s hard for him to trust any WR not named Shakir to do much. Keon had a great week 1 and has been quiet ever since. Palmer could get separation sometimes, but after that it’s luck and gadget plays that seem to make use of the other WRs. im not saying give up on Coleman, and we obviously are set at Slot, but we need someone who can stretch the field again. We also need another safety, but that’s a convo for another thread (my 2 cents: send a 4th to AZ for Baker). I like Shaheed, and obviously BTJ if that’s a serious option: A 2nd and a 5th to Jacksonville or A 3rd and a 6th to NO Yes, I know they are overspending in my scenario above, but you’ve got NE and KC out there, among others, who could bolster their WR room and are willing to do whatever is needed to win now. -
Coleman played 45 snaps today! With Palmer out due to an injury, he was absolutely invisible. Rooting for him, but it’s obvious he’s looking like a #4 WR at best. Even worse, I’m not even sure what his role is as he just doesn’t fit into this offense. He’s not doing anything particularly well or consistent. Shavers and Coleman are basically the same at this point. I just don’t see how they can watch film and be “we’re good at WR”

That's great - but when the Browns offense can't stay on the field, and TOP is 13+ minutes in favor of the Pats, it tends to wear down even a good defense. -

That didn't answer my question though. It was 3rd & 6 inside the redzone... at the opponent's 14 yard line. That made an easy FG into a much tougher FG & eliminated any chances of going for it on 4th down. Those kind of things may be ok against the Panthers, but they've killed us in the past against better teams. You think it was better to take a nearly 20 yard sack rather than just throw it out of bounds? It made zero impact on THIS game. But not every game is a route of the Panthers & a backup QB. The game wasn't a blowout at this point either. We're also ignoring that he's been making bad decisions the prior 2 games (losses) and this was after 2 weeks of prep. I was expecting a fire to be lit under him & to come out with something to prove. Our kicker also missed an XP. Where Josh took a sack made a FG attempt significantly further back than an XP, so that could've been points off the board. It also killed any chance of going for it on 4th down, had they wanted to. Nobody would be ok with this had it happened against the Chiefs. It shouldn't be ok now just because it happened in a blowout, in his 3rd straight game of not playing great. -
Josh Allen is not Tom Brady. Looking at our passing offense would you really choose to throw it more?
-
I don't think he's any slower, just less decisive. I think coaches have drilled into his head don't scramble and take hits. As a result he takes off one second later which is all it takes for the gap to close.
-
I remember the Josh Allen who had a coming out party against the 49ers (not the snow game, the game in 2020). This current version of Allen is far removed from that one. That kid was a gunslinger who was having fun and was fun to watch. Today he is a neutered version of his old self. Whether that’s because he’s worrying about turnovers, his wide receivers, or isn’t the lead man on offense, I don’t know. But right now everything runs through James Cook.
-
One other point. Against Atlanta and against Carolina today Allen fired 3 great passes to WR's at the boundary that just missed being in bounds. I believe all 3 would have resulted in 3rd down conversions had they been caught. I am very confident that Diggs & Davis catch those 3 passes keeping their feet in bounds. I watch a lot of football, both NFL & college, and the good WR's make those catches. In fact last season Cooper made a couple of those kinds of catches at critical moments. We are 7 games into the season and I can't recall a Bills skill player making an exceptional catch. Maybe the Coleman snag of that batted ball against the Ravens but where I often see multiple WOW catches made in almost every NFL game the lack of those kinds of catches in Bills games goes a long way towards explaining the passing game struggles. Thankfully, Shakir has had a couple of elite RAC moments or we would really be in trouble throwing the football.
-
Agreed. It’s a WR problem, not a QB one. Allen is in year 9 and has had no problem connecting with WRs in the past. He made Diggs the most productive WR during his 4 year stint here. Diggs, Smoke Brown, Cole Beasley all long time Vets before coming to Buffalo had each of their career years w/ Allen under center. So yeah, it’s not him.
-
Amen He could probably be our best deep threat releasing down the sideline once in a while.
-
Some people are saying it’s Josh, something is wrong with him. Some say it’s the WRs.. he has zero chemistry with Coleman and Moore, some say it’s the play calling. I think is a combo of all of it, but it’s pretty obvious Josh’s game has regressed quite a bit from last season. The national media always said the hits would take a toll by the time he hit 30-ish years old. I mean maybe he really is a step slower nowadays, which is enough to get you in trouble.

Well said.
