  2. Temple of the Dog and Pearl Jam suck!!!!!
  3. Two digit? Are you including a number after a decimal point? Because from this vantage point, you seem to be giving him more credit than he is due.
  4. You would have handed Anne Frank over to the Germans, no doubt about it.
  5. @BillsFanNC at the potential for reposting X content
  6. Hoax. Are you the DC coroner? Nope. Just a loser in a basement somewhere.
  7. I never alluded to knowing what I was talking about, 🤣
  8. The National Guard. It's an interesting read but it's a left leaning author.
  9. Looks like Kash might be about to net his biggest fish:
  10. What is? The riots or the NG being deployed?
  11. Interesting. The author seems to think this is a political stunt reading through the whole thing. That's at least my interpretation of it.
  12. Yeah, they're there in a support role at present. And hopefully their presence is a deterrent to further escalation. If not then...they'll need to be dealt with.
  13. Agreed. Time to give up on the minor league off-season football concept. I've always said the only way it works is if the teams are affiliated with NFL teams. The Syracuse Bills or something stupid like that, functioning as a kind of football AAA or NBA G League - some players on a two-way contract, some ringers. That gets me interested in seeing what kind of talent my team has at the minor league level. But there's a whole host of reasons why that model doesn't work, with the CBA being the prime one.
  14. Law prof Steve Vladeck (read his Substack! He's great. Written for lawyers but understandable by informed non-lawyers) provides a little sanity here: There are a lot of misunderstandings and misinformation out there about what Trump has and hasn’t done, and given that I’ve covered these topics before, it seemed worth a quick explainer on why this move is a big deal—but why it also is not as drastic an escalation (or abuse) as many had feared, at least not yet. The TL;DR here is that Trump has not (yet) invoked the Insurrection Act, which means that the 2000 additional troops that will soon be brought to bear will not be allowed to engage in ordinary law enforcement activities without violating a different law—the Posse Comitatus Act. All that these troops will be able to do is provide a form of force protection and other logistical support for ICE personnel. Whether that, in turn, leads to further escalation is the bigger issue (and, indeed, may be the very purpose of their deployment). But at least as I’m writing this, we’re not there yet. That's a critical point. Right now, the National Guard troops cannot engage in law enforcement activities. They are limited to a support role. Use of the Insurrection Act would bring us into a whole new era. Let's hope we don't get there. https://www.stevevladeck.com/p/156-federalizing-the-california-national
  15. You can hear Page on Hurdy Gurdy Man...
  16. Watched quite a bit of Perkins when he played at Virginia. He'll get another shot at the NFL.
  17. Yup. And then, if by some miracle a Dem gets elected President in 3-1/2 years, he/she can pardon them after they've actually served time...
  18. With all, ALL, due respect... that number is crazy delusional. He's never been at $11M. Our chance to sign Cook in the $12M-$14M range was this offseason. His number is only going up, and is probably a minimum $15M right now after Henry's new deal. I dont buy the rumors that he is looking for $20M, but as we move to next offseason with more RBs up for re-signing and resetting the market, he'll be at a $15M-$17M range at the very least.
  19. It’s in his name!
  20. I thought it was years...
  21. That's one. Still waiting on the buildings. Now do the number of officers who died as a result of J6. Before I get more MAGA faux outrage, the point is this. No violence is good violence. But MAGA has more than a tinge of hypocrisy in whitewashing J6 and then complaining about things like what happened yesterday in Southern California and even the summer of 2020.
  22. Whether now or next, 12.5 is the number. It’s to his advantage to do now. In those 2 years that’s 25, which is better for him to get it done now. Make it 4 for 48 with 30 guaranteed. Plus, he’ll win a couple Super Bowls. Without him, the chance for a Lombardi goes down.
