All 22 Clips from Bears Preseason game.
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to MikePJ76's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tough matchup for a young player against a PA heavy offense. He failed his test - but its also a glorified bad practice. It's not like any film study went into it. I'm not going to just assume he can't play based off of a bad game. -
Does there need to be a rethinking of the basic D?
GASabresIUFan replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
The melt down on this board over a pre-season loss to the Bears would be sad if it wasn't so funny and misplaced. They lost last year 33-6 to the Bears. Didn't we go 0-4 one year in preseason and play in the Super Bowl. Let me know how they do when the starters play. -
Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season Game 2
Einstein replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beane has let both Ragland and Basham go after just 2 years. Both were second round picks. Not saying it’s going to happen, but Beane is willing to let guys go if it’s clear they aren’t going to help. -
BREAKING: The Department of Homeland Security has just confirmed to me that ICE is seriously considering immigration enforcement at Truck Weigh Stations across America. This follows a criminal alien truck driver killing three Americans in Florida when he executed an illegal u-turn. Harjinder Singh entered the country illegally and was handed a Commercial Driver’s License from California. He’s being charged with manslaughter after killing three American Citizens. DHS spokesperson tells me ICE enforcement at Truck stops and DOT Weigh Stations are “on the table.” “Secretary Noem and DHS is keeping all enforcement options on the table to keep Americans safe. This should have never happened.” “Three innocent people were killed in Florida because Gavin Newsom’s California DMV issued an illegal alien a Commercial Driver’s License—this state of governance is asinine. How many more innocent people have to die before Gavin Newsom stops playing games with the safety of the American public? We pray for the victims and their families.” According to trucking industry insiders, illegal aliens are rampant in the profession.

One Thing No One Is Talking About Regarding Last Night's Game
MikePJ76 replied to MPL's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hey leave baseball out of this. Plenty of people are watching it and the next 35 days in the run to the end of the season is going to be awesome. There are as many or more great young players in mlb than the nfl. There was only one baseball game on last night and it too was pretty great with the mariners and mets playing in williamsport. if you are not watching mlb you are missing out. -
It's pretty funny that 2 years ago when McD was calling the D it wasn't nearly as conservative as it was prior to Frazier leaving, they did a lot more blitzing and such it could be that he knows he needs to play to the strengths of the players he has which some aren't very good . Since Hyde and power have left that has made a huge difference to go from those 2 to Hamlin and Rapp even though Rapp isn't nearly as bad as Hamlin there is still a drop off since then . I think seeing as it's pre season they are playing very vanilla and I hope we see a much better product come week 1 . That game will tell us a lot about how this D will be and for that matter the offense too . To this point the only guys I have seen at WR that have been good are the ones that were here last year Palmer and Moore with all the hype haven't been much hell bring back Cooper at least that guy had some game & with another year working with Josh I think that could be a really good combo ...

That isn't relevant to the point I was making, but sure.
-
Yea, I think that is what it is. That isn't toughness, but it is a more cerebral way of playing defense than old timers remember.

One Thing No One Is Talking About Regarding Last Night's Game
MPL posted a topic in The Stadium Wall
A lot of talking points are going around after last night's game. But the one thing that no one is talking about is how irresponsible it is for the NFL to let fans view preseason games. Yes, it's live football. But it's not football intended for fan consumption. Fans don't know how to process what they are seeing. Look at the results of last night's game. The NFL has worked this unassuming message board into an absolute friendzy. We have panic posting being labeled as, "I'm not panicking." We're fantasizing about 2024 draft pics being cut. And over in Chicago? My goodness, what a fever they've been whipped into over in the windy city after Caleb Williams stepped up into that beautiful pocket play after play while Landon Jackson tried his best to not move like a figurine on a slot-hockey machine, and Caleb floated perfect grapefruit after perfect grapefruit over the head of UDFA Walk-On Player Joe Andreesen. It's unfair and downright cruel to those fans to dangle that carrot in front of their eyes. And all because the NFL had to flip on a few cameras and Fox Sports was like, "yeah, we'll show your little football practice because no one is watching baseball anymore." The NFL has gone too far. They say they care about the fans but it's things like this that show they don't give a damn about us. Because if the NFL truly cared about its fans, they wouldn't expose us to preseason football and then leave us on our own to interpret it. Shame on you, NFL. Televising preseason football is irresponsible. File under: Satire. -
Can a McD team be tough enough?
Captain Hindsight replied to Toledo Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Right? And they have been blown out in like 3 games over 5 years. Bills fans love being miserable -
Now I’m not saying that there aren’t concerns some guys were out of position but like what I and a couple others have said, the Bills were playing 2/3s vs the Bears ones (with a few exceptions and then they were playing their 3/4s vs the Bears twos. The Bills never even gave themselves a shot at a fair fight. This was clearly a game for the Bills to establish their depth chart, to make final decisions on their last 3-5 roster spots, and who they feel is worthy of keeping around on their PS. It’s also not a true picture of a player in a game scenario either for the regular season. As an example let’s bring up Joe Andreessen. I think we’d all agree he looked realllyyyyy bad last night and he did. I think we can also agree that this was the first time that Andreessen looked completely out of his depth. Well why would that be? Did he have a really bad night? I mean that’s possible for sure. Could it also be that he didn’t have Matt Milano next to him and Ed Oliver/Greg Rousseau in front of him and a healthy secondary behind him I think that’s a more likely scenario
-
I like him more than Moore.
-
It’s because our D is soft, not sure what else to say. McD has these guys playing on their heels terrified to make big mistakes so they give up a lot of easy plays waiting for the opposing team to make the mistakes. Against better teams they get chewed up, that’s why all our playoff exits look similar. Even the Ravens game, it wasn’t our D that made a play at the end to save the game, Ravens walked down the field with ease to score a TD. Bills got lucky Ingram dropped an easy catch where our D had no one in the vicinity of him to actually break up the play.

If you are cutting Hamlin, do it now...
Captain Hindsight replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
I swear Bills fans create drama out of nothing -
At least Beane went hard after the D-line this year in the draft and FA. I'm always surprised Beane doesn't get more heat for the failures in the playoffs. When you look at who's rotating and playing a lot of snaps in the playoffs, it's not a huge surprise the D struggles against good teams. Austin Johnson, Jordan Phillips, AJ Klien, Elam (I can't believe they didn't try Ingram), Dodson, Linval Joseph, etc. A bit of it is ***** luck with injuries at the worst times, but I'd really like to shift away from signing 30 year old vets just because you trust them in your system.

Elijah Moore.......I think he is trending toward not making the roster
Mat68 replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
Samuel is already practicing. Moore isnt worth the roster Gymnastics. Samuel is a larger more dynamic player than Moore. -
Davis Webb calling plays for the Broncos
Mr. WEO replied to Desert Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't see Payton giving up play calling in season. -
And in other news, Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead.

I can't watch because I just bet all 22 of them suck just like it did in the game ...

Rule Questions (Tuck/Intentional Grounding)
SoCal Deek replied to co_springs_billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ve always felt the problem is the word “intentional”. It has no meaning at all anymore. It did when the rule was first created. Then along came Tom Brady and the entire idea went out the proverbial window. -
Training Camp News - Around the League version

The only thing Peterman and Dart have in common is they both play QB -
No. Bears had 12 Bills had 10 I think.

I'd pit Prairie Prince against anyone (Tubes)...

I know the Bears were playing with eleven….but wouldn’t All 22 imply that the Bills had eleven out there as well. Could’ve fooled me!
