Game Week thread - Bills at Jets
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
exactly. The reason our DEs weren’t keeping contain is because of how desperate we were to get Henry down. -
Maybe, maybe not…,

"Watching the Bills Ravens game, in the 4th quarter I wanted the Bills to come back. We'll get them in a let down trap game. Had they lost that game, we'd have zero chance." 😃 Who is our resident trap game expert? @eball?

Ty should have had that ball. It was an uncharacteristic drop for him. Almost!

Is your grammatical style an attempt at comic relief or is that the way you communicate? If it’s you being serious it disqualifies you from being taken seriously. By the way it’s not funny.
-
Isnt this about the time of year most Jets fans move to doing mock drafts?

Possible Sunday Night letdown commig...?

That specific bishop play was snap trickery on the ravens part that caused that mess…it was actually really crafty and I’m glad Harbaugh didn’t save it for some huge play in the playoffs lol. Kinda odd to drop that one in a game where you have no reason to believe you won’t win anyway they got up to the line and just instantly silently snapped it and the bills got caught in the disguised look…I’m sure bishop would’ve creeped down way closer to the LOS otherwise.. seems like we were not ready for a few quick snaps that night

Do we struggle with the read option, or do we struggle with the combo of Henry and Lamar (like almost everyone else)? We even used to handle Lamar the first few times we played him, pre Henry. I'm honestly asking, because I don't recall other read option schemes or scrambling QBs giving us fits.

https://www.newyorkjets.com/news/jets-sign-isaiah-williams-release-xavier-gipson-09-10-2025 The Jets have signed WR Isaiah Williams and released WR Xavier Gipson. Williams (5-10, 185), a second-year player from Illinois, joins the Green & White after a stint on the Cincinnati Bengals' practice squad. An undrafted free agent who signed with the Detroit Lions on May 10, 2024, Williams started his rookie season with Detroit before being waived by the Lions on Nov. 7. Appearing in 8 games (2 with Detroit and 6 with Cincinnati), Williams had 11 PRs for 93 yards (8.5 average) with the Bengals. The St. Louis, MO native led the Big Ten in 2023 in receptions (82) and ranked second in receiving yards (1055), while returning 11 punts for 127 yards (11.5). He was named first-team All-Big Ten as a WR and honorable mention All-Big Ten as a return specialist. Gipson (5-9, 189), a Stephen F. Austin product who signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2023, played 35 games for the Green & White and had 27 receptions for 268 yards with 1 TD. He averaged 8.9 yards on 68 punt returns with 1 TD and also averaged 26 yards on 44 kick returns.

Fixed it for ya.

Absolutely. I think people are biased when if comes to backup QBs because they remember them as starters. Well yes, they aren't good starters. That's why they are backups. Zach Wilson is a good backup as well. All the physical tools you could want. Starting experience. What's not to like?

What are the 49ers doing at backup QB?
Low Positive replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall
Zach Wilson is QB2 behind injury-prone Tua in Miami. Snoop Huntley went to the Pro Bowl too -
Why wouldn't Mac Jones be a decent backup QB? I wouldn't want him because he is a douche, but he is exactly the type of QB who could come in and operate an offense for a couple of games if your QB is injured. He has won games in this league and started almost 50 games total. He is a good backup. He even went to the Pro Bowl once.

I agree.

Ummmm….no.

Hopefully it’s the exact same scheme as Detroit last year. Heheheh

Ironically, a lot of people thought they gave up their three first round picks for Mac Jones. Instead they took Trey Lance.
