Just a regular Joe! -
I generally agree with your point here, I am usually very patient with letting young players develop. But as someone that really liked Coleman as a prospect I have to be honest about what he's doing on the field. I don't expect young players to be immediate superstars but you want to see some sort of arc of progress from them. Josh Allen is a classic example - he was a better player by the end of his rookie year and continued showing progress in his sophomore season. Coleman on the other hand ended his rookie season worse than it started, and to my eyes he has shown no improvement this year. Lack of separation I get and anticipated, but he's not even doing the things he's supposed to do well - fighting through contact, catching back shoulder throws, etc. He's not a Skyy Moore level bust who doesn't deserve to be on the field but his performance so far caps him as a WR4 type. Not giving up on him yet but we really need to start seeing progress and I'm losing hope that that progress is going to show up out of the blue this year. He reportedly showed a ton of progress in camp but it hasn't translated to real games. Next year is big for him. He could still follow the Davante Adams/Nico Collins track of breaking out in his 3rd season. This year I just don't see it.

If we’d beaten Cincy in the AFCCG that year we’d have played the Rams, not the Brady led Bucs -

Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?
ScotSHO replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hover over the name and hit the ignore button? Or were you just making a joke? I'm here to help. I'll state it in a different way - if we're not changing coach/GM any time soon, why keep the same big money QB pulling down the rest of your roster? Josh's style of play does not match the coach/GM vision for their team. If it did, they would have invested in their offense first and often. Get a cheap game manager, reset the timeline, and try again. The band-aid, sad sack mash unit approach ain't gonna work. -

If the Saints won’t move Olave, there’s obviously not much we can do about that, but I’d offer a 1 + Samuel and see if that gets the conversation going. They have the cap to absorb his contract and that’s not a short term move.. it’s essentially the Diggs trade of a few years ago but in-season. We lose a RD1 pick, and if they take back Samuel, I’d be willing to offer more if necessary, but we lock down 4 WR’s long term, to go with all 3 RB’s on multi-year deals, JA, 3 TE’s and 3/5ths of our starting OL plus development/depth guys like Anderson, Grable and SVPG. Still in a position to grab OL on Day 2 and that Offense is stacked for multiple years. -
I'm starting to understand the utter inability to move past that game against KC on the part of some, usually folks that can't stop referencing it. It's this fantasy that if we'd won, we were absolutely, undeniably, 100% going to the SB. Because we were going to stomp out the 2021 Cincinnati Bengals in the AFCG. THEN, we were going to beat Tom "I'm 33-3 Lifetime vs. Buffalo and have 6 Rings" Brady in the Big Dance. Dear Lord.

Well look at you creating more than a few strawmen fairytales in your head. You're doing great though! It's great that you think not even one but hundreds, maybe thousands, of CHILDREN having their bodies irreversibly altered by deranged adults is not worth worrying yourself about. I'll stick to insisting that number needs to be zero for CHILDREN and letting fully grown adults do whatever the hell they please.

How do you support minimum wage laws when you take this stance? Immigrants won't drive up labor costs equally? Or is that why you want them to remain "illegal", so you can pay them under the table? -
My view on the Bills Defensive Problems
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Cheektavegas Charlie's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean - none of these things matter that much at the end of the day. We've had a good statistical defense by every metric, and that defense bombed in the playoffs. I'm not saying the opposite is GOING to happen, but there's a number of potential reasons for improvement - health, chemistry, rookie improvements. They haven't played that well yet, but the issues aren't necessarily unfixable. The example i always come back to is Indy and Peyton Manning. He carried his team to the playoffs every year, and his teams defense was never very good. The first super bowl they won, manning played pretty poorly. Their 20-something ranked defense had 13 takeaways, and kept 3 of 4 opponents under 300 yards. The team and its challenges can be somewhat attributed to the roster construction of beane, and coaching staff assembled by McDermott. The players also aren't playing that well. -
Obviously we need immigrants who are willing to work hard at providing the services our families need. And this kind of nursing home/home care job is, unfortunately, one that we really can't seem to find native-born citizens to do. Yes, banning legal and illegal immigration will drive up wages, and maybe some native Americans will apply, and maybe some will do a good job for a much higher wage. And then we'll all pay a lot more for old age care.

Therein lies the problem. I don’t want to discourage you, but at your age I don’t see it ever happening. At least you have company with c-section.

As bad as things have looked recently, this is the type of game the Bills have consistently won, and won big, under McDermott…I think that will continue on Sunday. -
My view on the Bills Defensive Problems
KOKBILLS replied to Cheektavegas Charlie's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sure... I understand all that and it's definitely true... But a missed tackle is a missed tackle... We had a shot and we missed... And that is killing us... To compound the problem we are also seeing a spike in multiple missed tackles on the same play... -
Will McD ever have a coaching tree?
BillsShredder83 replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
I actually dig the OP. Interesting point being made about how others perform in your absence, and a great way for ppl in management roles or pushing to obtain that type of role. With that said, I think the bolded is a very unfair way to evaluate a coach. If you're trying to evaluate/differentiate between a handful of guys jockeying for GOAT HC? That'd be a great evaluator. If you're trying to figure out if you have a "good" HC or not, this is a pretty horrible measuring stick. There's been a lot of elite HC's, but only a handful that have had a coaching tree, let alone a successful coaching tree. Belicheck is considered in the conversation for GOAT (less so now than 5 years ago). Even if you went back 5-8 years ago and used this as a measuring stick for him, it would've shown us what we know better today. The only asterisk I'd add there is he was such an arrogant s***head, that I think he intentionally gatekept his best trademark secrets, so that nobody could go on to become competitive against him elsewhere down the road. Basically, set them up for failure by omission. But again, thats an ugly selfish trait to have, and kinda reverts back to what we know better about him now.
