  1. Past hour
  2. Yea I thought he was being sarcastic at first. But I think this is real
  3. Not just what you said, but Hoecht and Ogunjobi are not starters. So really you have three potential starters (I assume Hairston starts) that are missing, so it's really about just over a quarter of the starting defense as opposed to that posters claim of nearly half
  4. I thought Josh got impatient halfway through the game and killed two drives tbh not trying to blame him for anything at all as even the very best qbs aren’t perfect but that was another game where the easy stuff was working well and we abandoned it for a brief time for pretty much no reason felt like we were using the saints to practice some things thinking the game was in hand tbh lol
  5. Well, the practice window needs to open today for max then.
  6. IMO, the Bills are the closest to that
  7. My biggest takeaways. The run game is still awesome. Mcdermott's philosophy of allowing teams to have the numbers up front in the running game and challenging opposing offenses to stay with it and prove they can score Touchdowns via the run game is frustrating as hell to watch but has worked again so far this year. I expect with Milano, Oliver and Hoecht back soon they will play the run a little better. My final opinion so far is that as I thought all offseason the defensive free agents they have signed have not really accounted for much. The drafted players have been underwhelming though hawes and walker look like players that will help them win games all year. The rest of the class is hurt/inactive or not playing. Strong has filled in admirably but I don't think the plan is to have him out there late in the year. Fingers crossed hoecht actually can help the defense.
  8. I think he'll be good and believe it's about getting more comfortable. On a hard knocks episode, I believe there was some Olinemen talking about a guy being nervous and that's who I thought they were talking about. Anywho, I would like to see some more unconventional looks along the line, such as maybe a 5-2-4. Back when we had Lorax line up between tackle and guard, he blew up every play. JMO. I believe playing an extra lineman will be the new deal and obviously we won't be the 1st to do it.
  9. Ultimately it falls on McDermott, sure. But the 3rd down issues are very specific to this coordinator. Leslie consistently had top 10 3rd down defenses, McDermott had a middle of the pack 3rd down defense. The Bills were 4th worst in the league last year and are 8th worst through four games despite giving up none in 11 vs the Jets. That is a Babich issue and the tape tells a tale, his design on 3rd down is utter trash.
  10. What’s so ironic and painful about the chiefs is that we have basically handed them some of their best players. 1) trade to get mahomes 2) trade to get worthy 3) drafted boogie instead or creed Humphrey (in a year, where we all were clamoring for Humphrey) 4) they picked McDuffie and we picked Elam in a year where we both went CB (though, to be fair, chiefs picked ahead of us).
  11. ... When did you become so pessimistic about the Bills? Some WILDLY negative takes coming from you today, and I don't have you on the usual suspects list.
  12. you posted the data and came to an incorrect conclusion. Shocked. You want an academic paper summarizing data? Look for yourself as I know that you'll reject anything that I cite. Those papers are there for u to peruse. Ad hominem An abbreviated phrase meaning “to the person,” argumentum ad hominem refers to an argument which relies on an attack directed at the speaker rather than the substance of the speaker’s argument. This rhetorical strategy is often fallacious in nature, employing an approach designed to discredit the character, substance or motive of a person in lieu of deconstructing the person’s claims. Example 1 Speaker 1: I think the idea of a moral law requires the existence of a lawgiver (i.e. God). Speaker 2: Of course you would say that. You’re a Christian. Why should we listen to you?
  13. OMG NO - It's all McD & Beane they just don't know what they are doing and they need to be fired immediately, the players have absolutely nothing to do with this just ask some of those here they will tell you !!! 🤪
  14. This is what the good franchises do, they are able to plan and look down the road to potential scenarios and potential future needs in future years. You don’t draft to win the first four games out of the gate after the draft. I’m not saying he will be a stud, or even in the league in 2-3 years, but I know right now is not the time to try to decide.
  15. I know this isn’t the point of the thread, but I’m so glad the Bills are good enough to play really poorly for much of the game, be sloppy, bad penalties and still will by 2 scores. The saints had a great game plan and played really well and still lost Nice to be other end of that after 17 years of knowing we lose that game
  16. Joshua Palmer is a speed receiver?
  17. This. If Buffalo were playing Philly yesterday, what would the result have been? That's right.
  18. I take it that you are basing your opinion on the 1st round pick Elam that was traded to Dallas ? I believe if Max shows he's the best player during his time in practice that he will be the guy come game day unlike Elam . From what I remember Elam was more of a man player coming out of college and the Bills play more of a zone type D and who knows it may have been some of the coaching because he has started every game in Dallas so we may never know but I can hope that Max won't turn out the same !!
  19. OMG, an opinion piece lol. Why not just look at the data lol? You can look up crime and murder stats. Where are you more likely to be shot and killed? Kennesaw, GA or Chicago, IL? Just because Scientific America says you're more likely to be killed in Kennesaw than Chicago doesn't make it true. How about this? Lets text each other at 2:00 am, I will be walking down the streets in Kennesaw. You walk down the streets in Chicago. Deal?
  20. Tre doesn't have the speed to keep up with quicker receivers but he's actually made several good tackles the last 2 games. He isn't playing great at this point in his career but we've seen a lot worse. One of the two pass interference/holding calls against him yesterday was ridiculous. Benford hasn't had a dominate start to the season but it's hard to really put a lot of stock into his performance when the d.line isn't generating pressure on the QB for large stretches of the game. Hoping Hairston is able to come back and play at some point and he will replace tre and add a speedier guy on the perimeter.
  21. And while yes - you can drill and teach players to tackle. Its not typically what you're working on in camp. Your ability to tackle was what got you here.
  22. Cam Lewis missed tackle on the opening drive was pretty bad. I believe this is two weeks in a row the bills have missed a tackle on the opening drive that would have forced a punt!
  23. Biggest disappointment by far. I don’t want to hear it takes time to develop. The bills rotate and platoon DL. He played in SEC against nfl coaches. Beane traded up to take him 9th overall in second round. His pff grades are horrific
  24. Who watches the half time show?!
  25. The refs were not doing well with substitutions, or the play clock, or getting penalties called in a timely fashion. Didn't feel like it was a well called game by the officials either. From the stands there were definitely some missed calls on the saints defense.
