Turning point to what? President Trump and Europe agreed and confirmed the day before the line was no negotiations without a cease fire. Trump said if Pooty Poot didn't agree to it he would put sanctions on countries buying oil from Russia and other "grave consequences". So the "great negotiator" comes out of the meeting with none of that and instead says, yeah, do what he wants.

I could see that happening. Both Daboll and Schoen need the Giants to start winning games this season and show real improvement from last season. If not, then I expect the Giants to clean house and have a new GM and HC for 2026.

I find it impossible to care about the preseason with this team. NFL is scheme and talent, with scheme usually being the deciding factor. We are running zero scheme while Ben Johnson is trying to install his still. These two teams are night and day different in regards to what that game meant to them. Remember when Spurrier took over the Skins and was blowing out good teams? I think they even blanked the Super Bowl champs 40 something to nothing. Guess how both teams started the regular season. If that game was played for real tomorrow, would expect us to steamroll the Bears. I do somewhat worry about a slow start against the Ravens, similar to how we came out against the cards. But am I worried that Bishop couldn’t cover their best receiver out of the slot in man coverage? No. If that happens in a game, I’m questioning why that was allowed to happen. I do not believe for a second that McD would hold out so many players if he did not believe they were ready for the season. Anyone making the team who played in that game was just for reps. Btw, this isn’t directed at you Ethan. Just the first post I’ve seen since checking the site after the game that seemed to warrant the response.

I like hearing that! We fly in Wednesday before the opener and go directly to Watkins Glen for a night to walk the gorge and see the lake. My wife loves stuff like that, and I’ve never been there either. We’re also going to Niagara-on-the Lake one day. It’s nice to have some extra time during this trip. More meals!!! 🤣

I would just like to thank all of you who have these extreme overreactions to the preseason games, it makes this place incredibly entertaining for the rest of us to watch the meltdowns during the preseason. It really makes me giddy when I see the Bishop/Hamlin/back up QB/ def line doom and gloom posts right now, I legit enjoy coming here to read them! 😁 At no point during the offseason does anyone ever say they want to see wins or even great play during these games, they want everyone to come out healthy. But then, lo and behold, these games start and it's thread after thread of "this team has no chance" or "they need to fire Beane/McDermott now" to go with "This years and last years draft classes are horrible" I for one really enjoy watching so many go off the deep end So cheers to all of you who are a part of this, know that you are making my day!

They brought in a few new coaches who are super familiar with press man and blitzing...plus some of the free agent signings and drafting Harriston...a bunch of talk all off season has been around how the bills seem to be shifting their defensive philosophy. They aren't going to install new stuff in front of a bunch of fans and such

I am generally the eternal optimist, to the point that I probably annoy some people. Having said that, Cole Bishop scares me. I’m worried about all the DBs on some level, but especially him. And it’s not just because of a little preseason play. That’s why we play the games! I’m looking forward to real Buffalo Bills football.

Injuries are the only thing that would alter my optimism, we know what this team is. Stay healthy and try to get the one seed and go from there, these preseason games are useless.

Huntley is definitely gone. I would expect Pickett will be too.

Rapp played well vs Denver in the playoffs and came out early due to injury in the Baltimore game. He didn't play vs KC. He's not a superstar but he doesn't suck. He's a decent starting-caliber NFL safety. It's the other position that's the problem, although Bishop at least has physical talent and upside. Hamlin is not quick or fast enough to be starting in any NFL secondary.
