He was fine, especially escaping pressure... that was really a huge difference... that said... he doesnt play our defense every week, we made Spencer Rattler look great too.... our DBs are amongst the worst in the league collectively...

My friends who are Pats fans have proclaimed that the Division takeover is in progress and there's a changing of the guard. We shall see... long season.

The final play to Shakir. Samuel was wide open for easy TD
NoSaint replied to MikePJ76's topic in The Stadium Wall
he fumbled because he’s a backup TE taking a handoff -
Return of the Tre! (Tre White signs with the Bills)

He looks his age. Slow and poor decision making. Takes costly penalties and is playing like Swiss cheese out there He’s finished just like many of us thought -

Yeah it was a handoff. The question is did Knox forget about it? He almost looked surprised he was getting the ball. They had the edge blocked up well. It would have been a nice little gain and a nice little wrinkle. -
Looking ahead to the Falcons…A must win?

No, is it yours? Not going to glaze this organization when they turn in a piss poor performance like that, but you do you. Anybody who brought up concerns before yesterday was told they were insane. -
Yep. Felt the same way. I dont see how Ne plays a much better game than that. That was worst the Bills played on offense in over 18 games.
-
Ummm that sure doesn't sound like an MVP...

I only post on TBD after losses because the sky has fallen, again!!! -
All last week the NFL experts on TV were saying you can't run effectively on that NE defensive line. Our RB's ended up with 19 carries for 60. I find it frustrating that Brady could not foresee some issues in the run game and counter that with some good strategy to burn them.

Pretty sure because nobody is getting open, has become the norm. -
If they get 10 or 11 wins and miss the playoffs I will still be proud of them because they have been awful the last 2 years and that would show an amazing positive growth.. but heck it make December games fun to watch since they would still have meaning and I won’t be ticked off because they won a meaningless game at the end of the year to drop out of the 1st overall draft pick lol..

A Few Thoughts about the Pats Game - Post yours as well
finn replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Seems like the Patriots are the first team to figure out that if you stop Cook, you stop the Bills. How many times did we see Allen waiting, waiting, waiting for someone to get open? Coleman, Palmer, Shavers, and Samuels are all #3 receivers at best; only Shakir and Kincaid are threats, and that's not enough without a running game. They don't need a superstar at WR, just someone you can't cover with a single DB. -

Well, yeah, anyone with eyes knew coming in New England had a better defense even before the game began. Last night our defense was largely fine. Our offense being undisciplined and turnover happy was the issue. -
It was not legendary but he was outstanding including his best plays in high leverage situations.
-
So we have gone from best team in the league at 4-0 to not even a GOOD team at 4-1. Cool

You think Denver wins the division over KC?

Great thoughts. I agree, losses will come. It just sucks it was a divisional loss. These are not the games we should be dropping. -
For all you McDermott haters, who would you want?
JP51 replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
yeah, i think that is the concern... there are two factions... we are 4-1 stop complaining we will be fine... and I want to win it all and what I am seeing is more of the same we have seen the past several years... in fact the defense has likely regressed... how are you going to win it all like that... I get both sides... but I am more in your camp which is the... we needed badly to improve on the defensive side of the ball...we have not... we have elected to go WR by C+/B- committee and the cracks are starting to show... eliminate the down field threat and the short stuff is much harder... as is the running game... we have a serviceable core.... but they do not strike fear into the hearts of anyone.... Tearing it down is not what I think we should do... (from a guy who was upset with Polian and waited 25 years to get a competent GM in here....) our best hope is that Beane finally recognizes his short comings and makes FO changes and the McD hires a strong and Competent Dco and lets them do their thing... just my opinion... -
Yeah... Hey, I am just a reporter. Hopefully you find it NOT behind a paywall: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/12/06/arts/music/mr-brightside-killers.html This shouldn't be behind a paywall: https://medium.com/the-narrative-arc/every-generation-gets-the-anthem-it-deserves-0d7f09670b96 Millennials are screwy, wait till they get out of mid-life & hit old age in a few years... Hope I live to see the real fun! " “Mr. Brightside” didn’t just chart — it tattooed itself into the collective memory. It wasn’t the best. It wasn’t the deepest. But it was always there: every party, every breakup, every bleary road trip. "

I remember the last time the Pats were back. Mac Jones was the real deal after besting us in a hurricane and the Pats locked down the division that night. Somehow they ended up on the road in the wild card round and got trounced. But this time its for real. Just don't look at the Raiders game or the Stillers game. The Pats are back baby!

Last night reminded me of when we beat them w/ Fitz - I think that was the 6th game of the season. I remember thinking we had turned a corner, and would challenge for the division. Then we crumbled. And like the Pats last night, we really only won because they turned the ball over so much.
