I can see your point, lacking offensive weapons contributing to a lack of success, especially if the team gets one dimensional, but I'll still have to stand on the eyeball facts of what I saw on display the last couple of years and now this first game. No doubt the game has changed a bit in recent years, but it will require a better product on defense to get past teams like cincy, Baltimore, and any other team that will no doubt have a strong offense. I also think it's more the scheme they draft for that makes this defense a sieve. We can simply look at those dreaded 13 seconds as a microcosm of the last 3-4 seasons of Josh's career here. When they needed a stop the most, it simply didn't happen. but hey, I might be unrealistic in today's version of the game, it's just how I see it.

I give Allen all the joint practice reps and sit him out the preseason game. Maybe an appearance vs Tampa. ( I’m going to that game).

On Super Bowl Sunday, ESPN would air all the SB highlight shows from previous years beginning in the early morning. I think they were 30 minutes long which meant in the early 90s you could get through them all by noon. I'd watch them, all of which were narrated by Facenda though 1983. Facenda's voice is a childhood memory for me...waking up at 1am to watch those highlight shows on ESPN. Cannot believe he's not in Canton.

Yep. I live here and it is a huge huge draw. Additionally because the area in general is so nice and the canal is nearby they get a lot of residual business just given proximity.

I am guessing Allen gets a series maybe two. Usually nobody plays in the last preseason game so the starters might get some playing time in this one. The most important thing is no injuries. The Bills have already had enough of that in TC.

My wife showed up alone at the dealership wearing yoga pants and a tee shirt. She was car shopping after Pilates class, but nobody paid attention to the lady there by herself. She watched as men and couples were greeted enthusiastically. She came and went a couple times to test this. She was ready to write a check for a new car, but they kept ignoring her. She knew exactly what she wanted to test drive, but they didn’t give her the chance. She wrote the sales manager as a courtesy to tell him why she went elsewhere to buy her new car. It’s hard to believe that mentality still exists, but it’s a real thing in some places.

Bills @ Bears on Sunday, August 17th @ 8:00pm on FOX The Bills will travel Thursday to Chicago for a joint practice Friday. I imagine it will be a light week leading up to this scrimmage and the game. Will any of the injured guys return? Will Allen make an appearance? Go Bills!

Ed Sabol was underrated, Steve Sabol carried the torch with more personal exposure, but since Steve and Facenda passed, these highlight shows aren’t the same. Liev Schreiber narrating could be better than sleeping pills.

I just went to Cape Cod for vacation and it looked exactly like the Cale Cod Creamery (Great Place) all these fancy boutique ice cream places are great.

I wouldn't say hated. I think most Bills fans give credit to McDermott and Beane for changing the culture of the organization from a loser to a winner. But it is frustrating to see these playoff losses happen year after year despite having one of the best QBs in the game. They have both been here 9 years now so it is fair to question if the Bills will ever win a championship with this HC/GM.
