Nothing about Josh Palmer playing is "big" Dude is the definition of a JAG that Beane wasted cap space that we had little of on him -
First, I don't think you are a "dumb ass." What you are claiming is disapproval of a "base" being constructed. That is a false premise. There is no base. They are constructing a facility to allow their people to train and use the billion dollar F-15 purchase. We do it all the time, as there is no other option that makes sense, other than sending our people there, which is never going to happen. This isn't renting a car. They will never present a threat to us in any way, by this action which has been in place for years.

Is Joe Brady the main issue on offense?
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
I saw Tom Brady tear the league up with short white guys. It’s up to our OC to tailor the offense with what he’s got at his disposal. There are still plenty of other strengths that can be taken advantage of. Dual threat QB, top 5 RB, Kincaid, and solid starting line. I’m so tired of the game being relegated to get it to your big, fast number 1 WR. Remember when Miami took the league by storm with the Wildcat? That was one of my core NFL memories, but I always admired how the OC tailored that Miami offense to their strengths instead of trying to fit a square peg into a round hole like so many seem to do nowadays. -

Good adjustment for sure. I guessed that London and/or Robinson would be a problem. In first half they focused on London which was a mistake. Stop the run and make Penix beat you. I guessed it was lack of confidence in our secondary that allowed Robinson to stampede through the herd in first half. So our secondary is the gift that keeps on giving. -

Not enough data to say they won't implode. -
Come on Happy, you’re better than this. You know darn well that a QB’s progressions are set before the play even happens. You also know darn well that he never got anywhere near to the point of his progression where he would’ve seen that receiving option - especially with a jailbreak. maybe your point is that he should’ve changed his progression at the line for some reason?

Anderson was playing a lot as the 6th O-line last year. They probably feel he has more chemistry with the starters than SVPG.

Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?

yea just watched some Pickens highlights in Dallas and had some real feelings -
I think pass pro is in his head again Look at the wheel to cook he tucked and I think took a sack on. It was there, got the LB match and all... he just doesn't trust what he's seeing and feeling rn

I’m certainly not sold on Babich but I don’t know if he has the talent to make this defense work. Does anyone have a good explanation why the following players have all regressed? Benford has definitely taken a step back, Johnson is a shell of his former self, Rapp wasn’t great to begin with and now he’s absolute ASS, Bernard is making no plays except the 1 pick and is out of position so much more than usual. Trey was already washed so he didn’t take a step back. Milano is glass as usual but Williams doesn’t look any better than last season. I’d say the D-line is playing pretty well now that Groot is showing up again, Oliver is back, and Walker is making strides. So except for Bishop who’s not great but he’s about where I thought he would be, almost every player in the back 7 is playing worse. Why? Is it the scheme? Did they try and tweak things and its too complicated now so the players don’t know where the hell to be? Or are these guys just regressing for no reason other than getting paid? I have no idea.

Oliver & Walker both looked elite out there. -
Yeah, this isn't the same as those multi-week drops in play from 2020-2023. The fall off in 2024-2025 (so far) is completely different. For example, you don't have an offense bottom-out abruptly, going from scoring 41, 30, 31, and 31 points against mediocre competition to 20 and 14 to NE and ATL. Something more is happening to cause offensive free fall. That's made worse watching a defense get run over week after week. Or, that veteran coordinators make routine mistakes and can't get it right after years on the job. Maybe they're better after the break, but in-season it's hard to make significant changes with personnel and scheme. It's like turning a battleship around quickly.

Why did you not keep 4 and 6 then?!? -
What sucks is that the Chiefs have two former NFL head coaches as their OC & DC, and the winningest NFL HC over the last five years. Not to mention a superstar at several positions on that team, including a generational talent at QB in Patrick Mahomes, a TE in Travis Kelce, and a DT in Chris Jones. This team has been the roadblock that has kept Buffalo from the Super Bowl for the last five seasons. If Buffalo were in the NFC, they probably would have met the Chiefs in the big dance. A few things to be optimistic about are that the Chiefs are currently 3-3 with losses to the Chargers, Eagles, and Jaguars. The Chiefs still need to play Buffalo at Buffalo, the Commanders, and Denver 2x, the Colts, Texans, and Chargers. So Buffalo still has a chance at that #1 seed. With all the injuries to the Buffalo Bills that two rookie CBs are both on IR, and so many others are injured...we could be the 1-5 Baltimore Ravens. Now there is a fan base with torches and pitchforks out ready to boot a SB-winning HC with a 2-time MVP at QB. That team has four #1 picks in their starting secondary, and yet they are fielding the very worst defense in the league. Just relax and take a two-week break.

No love for Indy?.........they're coming on strong

I've watched the offense all-22 and there was not much to be had out there. Only play that stuck out which I think Allen genuinely missed was this one: I think his eyes need to start left where Atlanta is showing possible pressure and if he does then Shakir is wide open on the rail. This is the only play I watched back where I thought Allen made a legit pre-snap or post-snap error. There's a couple passes he turns down which you could quibble on. Mostly it's guys blanketed downfield in combination with Atlanta fooling our OL with exotic pressure looks. Quick pressure without quick separation, you do the math. Once Palmer went down we had zero ability to even threaten downfield.

If we trade for a WR its going to be some has-been that will contribute little. Its Beane’s MO. Metcalf and Pickens being available this past offseason and Beane sitting on his hands is so frustrating. That talent is not available often. He could have had BOTH for only a 2nd and 3rd round pick. Allen would have feasted. -

The betting “public” has nothing to do with it. The oddsmakers are the ones who adjusted the lines. Their was some professional money that came in on the Chiefs. Public money doesn’t move lines 99% of the time. Only professional money does. The oddsmakers as of right now still think the Bills will get the ship righted and be there at the end with the Chiefs. So people should probably quit jumping off of a cliff over a couple of games. Especially with the injuries and suspended players. Also I don’t want to hear from anyone trying to tell me how it works since this is what I have been doing for over 30 years and know exactly how it works and what moves lines and what doesn’t and how the inter workings of Sports Books actually work. Public money doesn’t do anything. The Sports Books don’t want 50/50 action on both sides of every spread (that’s the biggest myth in Sports betting ever) and many other things. Point is as of right now the oddsmakers think the Bills will be there at the end of the year along with the Chiefs. While the average fan is freaking out on this board. Now does that mean the Bills will stay up there? Nope. Have to see how they do back from the bye with more of their pieces back and how they respond. Until then I wouldn’t go jumping off any cliffs because of a couple of losses. -

How much better without a supporting cast?..........JA is the best we've ever seen, but unless he can catch, run, play D and ST's all by himself, is a SB in his future? -
If history bears out then Vegas knows they’re raking in any and all Bills Super Bowl bets.

The one bright spot was the defense adjusted well in the second half after the embarrassment of the first half -
Not shocking at all imo. Brady ran the same 4th down mesh beater over and over and over last season. He also ran the same QB sneak numerous times when it wasn’t working. He just… is not good. He’s like the anti- Ben Johnson. Where Ben has endless variety to his plays, Brady has none.
