The Josh getting a poor spot after his run was reminiscent of the bogus call during the Chiefs game last year’s playoffs.

I'm quite sure McDermott's approach isn't what transpired. The players still need to play well, regardless of the approach. It was week 1, we DO have some undersized players on D, and the Ravens ARE a great team. We were always going to give up points and yards to the Ravens. We just were. Sure, lots of the D didn't play well, but again, I don't think it's because McDermott had a bad plan.

I’m in Ohio too. The first thing I do when I hit WNY is get pizza. I would drive all the way from Cincinnati just to get Bocce Club. I like take out wings from LaNova. I get a bucket with half hot and half BBQ. The surprising thing will be just how much better the blue cheese is in WNY than it is anywhere else. I would also walk around Elmwood Village. A lot of nice shops and cafes. But then again I grew up there so that’s the old neighbourhood. If you want local fast food, Elmwood Taco and Sub is really good but Mighty Taco is a local legend. But the best part about being in town is everyone is a Bills fan. Also, go to Wegmans and get a couple reusable Bills shopping bags. They are great conversation starters in Ohio with the Kroger checkout girls. Oh yeah. Get a loganberry! It’s a taste of childhood for Bills fans.

Wait! Does that happen to other teams too? I guess we are not the only ones who whiff near the top.

1. How close was Hamilton to blocking that kick? That would have been all time Billsy. He touched it if you look at the replay. 2. How much of the 4th quarter output was the Ravens going prevent? It didn't look like we could separate for 3 quarters, then boom. 3. Did the Ravens missing that 2 point conversion actually help? Instead of pushing they went conservative and we were able to get the 3 and out. 4. Ed Oliver was a mad man. Without Ed we don't win that game. That's how big his individual contribution was. 5. Why are we so stubborn on traditional 1 tech DT's. Jones was showing signs of being washed last year. Out of all our DT spots we can't afford one DT whose primary focus is defending the run for games like this? 6. Josh had Brady vibes to him. Like it was inevitable. Just get the ball back. 7. Harbaugh might be a good coach, but it's not hard to see why they struggle late. Awful play calling on both sides of the ball late in the game. 8. I respect McD, but the dude just needs to hire a proven DC who can run his own system. McD as a CEO coach is A+. McD as a heavily involved defensive coach that will only bring in people to run his scheme provides no talent, no ownership, and no results 9. We could be undefeated for the Chiefs game, the schedule is favorable, any losses will be true upsets 10. That was probably the best win we have had in 20+ years for a regular season game. We don't win those games, it was like the reverse Dallas MNF game.

Like many others, I was concerned that when Buffalo added defensive tackle help in the off-season, the additions all seemed to fit 3 tech DT better than 1 tech, even 330 lb Deone Walker and even Jordan Phillips, in spite of the shortcomings of Daquan Jones last season. If the Bills are deciding to address nose tackle just now, there is no way they are going to find much more than table scraps. The best the Bills can hope for is that their coaching can tap some upside in Mathis that has thus far not shown.

You're ok with a speedbump defense and ball-control offense asking Allen to produce with less than 1% odds of succeeding? I mean, that's what happened Sunday, right? Allen and co. bailed the team out despite McDermott's approach to the game, not because of it.
