  1. Past hour
  2. Meh. That's the way the cookie crumbles. I wouldn't change it personally.
  3. The only way I think it would work best is to have the replay specialist in the broadcast trucks with a direct line to McD. But in that situation, you gotta quickly assess like you were saying based on what you have, and know if the opponent is trying to get the next snap off. TBH they should just not let the next play happen until suspect calls like that are reviewed and confirmed or not. I mean, it's 2025... They've completely changed kickoffs but haven't done a lot with replays since they started them. If a team is hurrying up to get the next snap off, it's more than likely the previous play ruling was suspect in some way, so in essence someone is getting screwed, instead of just getting it right.
  4. 10 minutes for 6 seconds of the clock is what it felt like. I needed to grab a beer and boy did I need it after that and the entire 1st half
  5. Wow: King of Whine right there. The problem for a coach to talk like that is he's telling his team that they lost because of bad refereeing. That's a horrible message. The message needs strong, clear, and passionate: "We lost because we didn't play well enough." As long as you put the problem 'out there' somewhere (refs, weather, whatever), it's not solvable. When you put the problem on your own shoulders, you can fix it. Prepare better. Try harder. Execute better.
  6. I don't know where you're going with this, but i only mentioned that i didn't see the replay..........maybe McD saw it, but i didn't see it. You may have missed it from another thread, but i was busy shoveling snow off my roof yesterday afternoon and only fall off twice, so i had other priorities going on.
  7. @Nihilarian, I don't know I'll use the word "elite" as you did on many Bills players, especially on D. Joey Bosa was an elite pass rusher, but not any more. Now and then, He does flash his elite form of the past. You'll see what an elite pass rusher looks like next Sunday - speaking of that, for God's sake, I hope Brady plan some help for Dion. You see what kind of stress led to #15 of the Chiefs all season; we need to protect our #17 at all cost. Max Hairston, elite? He might be average to below average now (not indicative what he is likely going forward). Cole Bishop became a solid starter in this league, but no opposing QB will say I need to find out where Bishop is on every single snap. Boundary CB is judged differently. Benford had a few splash plays lately, but he is not a shutdown corner that can take away half of the field. All I'm saying is that it is clear the D lacks elite talent that you need to be coached well and everyone has to do their assignment in sync to get a few stops. That's why you see those halves of the Patriots and Bengals games where when things were not going well, people tried to do other people's job and they just got gashed all over for long stretches. If you have some pure bred studs in the front 7, that guy may single handedly stop a drive or two in those situations, like you see Chris Jones has done from time to time. The half time adjustment McDermott/Babich has done, in my opinion, is to ID what the offense is doing to them, adjusting everyone's individual responsibility and having them stick to it. I do want to point out that the passing defense assignment is, generally speaking, pretty sound - you don't see any huge break down there like you see on run defense.
  8. Also funny how he didn’t mention how they were gifted 3 points at the end of the half with the atrocious clock management and how his guy threw a punch at Milano, but both were penalized.
  9. Maybe. And I don’t begrudge you. The way I see it? Trump got in the last word.
  10. Now I remember why I can’t stand Vrabel…
  11. Yeah Ty Johnson as the TB and James Cook in the slot; Stack the box and then who? defends Cook in space, where he is elite.
  12. You don't make rules to apply to exceptions, hence the saying. Once in a blue moon some team with a terrible record makes the playoffs, and everyone thinks the rules need to change. The league mostly has it right. The biggest issue they created was eliminating the bye for the top 2 teams AND expanding the playoffs to 7 per conference. It's often the case that #1 and #2 are neck and neck or #1 was aided by an extremely weak schedule while #2 had a rougher go. This is reminiscent of when teams like Tenn would dominate their division and get bounced their first playoff game. #2 really gets hosed in this scenario. Regarding the expanded playoffs, it was already rare to have 6 teams that had a legitimate shot at the SB and deserved to be there. Now, we're all but guaranteeing there's just a feeder team in the mix.
  13. we're not talking random people on the internet making foolish claims. this is the president. the say the murder was caused because reiner didn't like trump is insane. i get a lot of people don't have free thought and will applaud anything trump does, but most people don't like that. the majority of people that see this tweet think the old man is really starting to go off the deep end.
  14. It may "seem" like that but I don't really think its true. Both the Houston game and the Cincy game the coaching was not the major problem in the first half. Both those games were primarily execution fails by the players on the field - particularly our tackling. There were players in position to make plays - that's all a coach can do - the players failed to make them. This was a coaching mismatch first half though. McDaniels had McDermott on his heels and was finding ways to stress our defense with clever playcalling and good scheming. The only other game this season where I put a terrible defensive first half so squarely on coaching is the Atlanta game and Babich had playcalling removed from him at halftime in that game. The only coaching fail on offense first half was the 3rd and 15 pass in the flat to Shakir which is only a sensible option if you are already decided you are going or trying a long FG on 4th down. If there is a chance there that you are punting that can't be the playcall. Otherwise players miscues were the problem. Players have the make the plays that are there to be made and avoid the mistakes. That is their responsibility.
  15. I guess to each their own. I don’t automatically have respect for people just because. i sure do remember a whole lot of comments about Trump when he was shot. A hell of a lot nastier than what he said about Meathead.
  16. We need Benford and Oliver back asap. Still hurting that we lost Hoecht - he looked to be a game changer for us. At least Bosa is playing great for us.
  17. Yes, I would. I don't think I'm some kind of saint. I just think that normal humans recognize when a tragic event has happened, even when the victim is a political enemy.
  18. ha ha i am not trying to have a pissing contest with you. So I have no idea what your angle truly is. On top of the fact i agreed you know things I don't. SMH Just.. I back up what I say and do not run from anyone. You are implying some people do the opposite.
  19. Get rid of the divisions problem solved
  20. Would you consider the NFC South to be a difficult division? It’s very likely that an 11-6 football team is going to be left out of the playoffs in the NFC, most likely from the North when Tampa Bay or Carolina could be 8-9 division winner
  21. James Cook is one of the best RBs in the NFL
  22. Show me one time that I have. And show me where that Saint Podcaster smears other people continually on social media.
  23. people have to be straight up foolish if they think this administration is any more transparent than any others.
  24. I cannot speak for my enemies, But when one of them dies I have too much respect for each individual human life, I would never use that time to criticize them.
  25. He coached the second half too. This is nonsense.
