Things that are good about living in 2025
SinceThe70s replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
The only time I've been to Europe was a pre-pandemic trip to Italy: Rome, Florence, Venice. I was also apprehensive about the language barrier and it wasn't a big deal - except that time I tried to order a vodka tonic, that was a chore and I stuck with wine after that. We actually did a tour and it was fantastic. Our tour included 'free time' in each city - it was a great compromise as the tour got us perks like dinner at the Vatican and bypassing the line at the Coliseum. Plus it took all the guess work out of transportation and accommodations. Anyway, if you decide to go (and you should) I wouldn't dismiss a tour out of hand. -
I hope they know the rules of the road!

Last year (2023) was the o-line. It's a touchdown if Dawkins wasn't dog walked into Allen has he was throwing to a wide open Shakir in the endzone. We were about to take the lead but Dawkins got manhandled.

Trump/Elon Breakup Fallout
Joe Ferguson forever replied to Roundybout's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
both trump and musk are bad guys. -
And just like that, THE Democrat talking point for 2026 is gone. Everyone get it now? Fight that oligarchy Bernie! Staged.

Simon, for all intensive purposes, it's shoulda. But I could care less so....

Do you count Metcalf in that "meh"?

This is family he's talking about. I take it as him saying generations to come. Unless I missed something, nothing was said of his mom. Now that being said....if my Mom and Dad spent years and money driving me around to make sure I'd have the best chance of reaching my dreams, I'm going to be grateful. If money is all I have to show gratitude then I'd use it. I don't care if they can get a better job or not. But that's just my opinion.

McGee's kickoff returns were some of the only excitement we would get watching those drought-era games! Then the league caught on and teams would rather kick the ball out of bounds to keep it away from him, knowing the Bills pathetic offense at the time wasn't going anywhere with it. Those were dark days to be a Bills fan. I hope everybody takes a little time every once in a while to realize how lucky we are to have a successful team with a League MVP QB to lead it!!!

The poster was talking about financial investment. He specifically talked about earning money through selling games. Of course the term “investment” can be applied in many facets, such as investing in your health - but we aren’t talking about that type of investment so it seems silly to even mention it. What in the world makes you think anyone is going to pay 25% more? Especially several years from now toward the end of Allen’s career? Look at Jets PSLs. You can pick them up for pennies on the dollar. Same goes for Giants. Same goes for Cowboys. Same goes for Panthers. ”Jets fans who tried to sell PSLs this year lost an average of $3,233 per seat. Giants fans lost an average of $189, even though their team won the Super Bowl last year. And Cowboys PSL owners lost an average of $2,390 per seat since their stadium opened in 2009.” - old article but shows how PSL’s don’t typically appreciate

I think it's important to note Trump threatened to break contracts with Musk 1st, no? Before we paint Musk as the bad guy. The new Bill proposes 6 Billion in cuts on Nasa projects. Some in different stages of completion. Is this the kind of thanks Musk deserves for being the fall guy? Thinking about selling or giving away Tesla now?

Nah, I'm no trumper, I just love pointing out blatant hypocrisy. I also suspect that there is probably more to this story than is being reported, i.e. the scope of his role is probably being egregiously misrepresented. Everything I've seen described is something along the lines of " helping to oversee" which frankly could mean practically anything.

Your "feels" approach to the math is not congruent with the facts. In 7 divisional round and championship games the Josh Allen Bills offense has averaged only 22.85 points scored. So less than 23 points per game is supposed to beat Mahomes, Jackson and Burrow how often exactly? In that same span the defense has allowed 27.71 points per game. And also chipped in 7 points with the biggest postseason play in Bills history.....the 99 yard Taron Johnson pick six. So the offense scores about 6 less per game than they do in the regular season from 2020-2025 and the defense allows about 8 more than they normally do(7 net if you factor in their scoring). The reality is BOTH sides underperform by similar degrees in these huge games. BOTH. And one of those sides has the only great player the Bills have on it. So he either sucks when the chips are down or the talent around him isn't right. I fall on the "talent around him" has failed him side.
