Week 5, Cheats v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
Virgil replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Pats 31 Bills 16 The Pats score on the opening drive with a TD pass to Diggs, followed by a KO return fumble by Samuel, leading to another quick Pats TD. Bills make it close at half (17-10) but can’t double dip. Josh throws his first pick six, icing the game. -

Bills 33 Flying Elvis's 20 This is a classic new kid on the block wanting to make a point but the old guard isn't moving at this time type of game. New England's offense has been decent at points with Maye playing pretty well while their defense is more shaky as they grow. Their talent is not phenomenal and with Milton likely out or limited and Barmore also off injury that hurts them badly on defense. With that said while I think the Bills hold serve throughout and get out to a 14-0 lead early courtesy of a Cook TD run and Coleman TD, the Pats respond in the 2nd with a Diggs TD as Maye breaks contain on 3rd and goal and finds him scrambling. Bills get a FG after but the Pats respond with a FG at half to make it 17-10. Out of half the Pats get a FG as the defense again bends but doesn't break and the WNY faithful get nervous, but Josh and the offense go on a 7 min + drive and cap it with a Knox TD to make it 24-13. Maye gets picked off deep on the next drive by Benford and the offense converts it to a FG entering the 4th up 27-13. The Pats get a TD of their own and it is 27-20 with 10 to go in the 4th quarter, but the Bills offense again responds as Moore finally scores on one of those reverses with 5 mins to go to seal the win (Bills miss the XP). Allen 285 yds 2 TDs 23-29 Cook 123 yds 1 TD 18 rushes Coleman 98 yds 5 rec -
I think activating Bass from IR would obviously be the first step... you have got to think he should be ready by now and activated... but maybe not... my gut is as long as Prater is kicking well Bass stays and they dont use an activation move... If Prater faulters... then all bets are off.. jmo...

Turnovers are not discipline. That is a flaw of the talent and coaching. They are buying into the HC and are a tough team to beat. Bills have to play a better brand of football. Underwhelmed by the total team performance this season.

Positive direction on the injury front.

Getting Ed and Milano back would be a nice shot in the arm for the defense. Dorian sitting is not bad either might need a mental reset after a really bad NOLA game. -

Isn’t it amazing it took Irv about 1 day to get permanently banned from TBD again? 😵💫

Here’s what LDD said: “there are standards of decorum, especially in the workplace and especially in instances of leadership” Pretty sure speaker of the house is a leadership role. I would like to say that you know that and that you know that’s what LDD stated, but that would be giving you too much credit. You are more emotional than asstute in your posting. Do you see what I did there with astute? That was just for you. You’re welcome. Good post

Coming out party for the D-Line Sunday Night

This is a massively important game. Reminds me of the first Jets game last season in MetLife. Jets were 2-3 coming off some games they probably could have won. Bills were 3-2 coming after back to back losses after the 3-0 start. A win and the Jets tie the divisional race and get some momentum back. A loss for the Bills put them at .500 and in second place. The Bills won and got to 4-2 placing them 2 games ahead of the Jets, they made the Cooper trade a couple of days later and as much as people in retrospect didn't like the Cooper trade and didn't see the value in it, the offense was completely changed by the trade even if Coopers stats weren't the best. That was the pivot point for the season. Bills went 4-2 and then rattled off a bunch in a row and had the division sown up by late November. Jets lost 6 of the next 7 and went nowhere. -
Not the president, anus man, but you know that.

James Cook AFC Offensive Player of the Month (September 2025)!
Inigo Montoya replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the Bills being on Hard Knocks this season may have provided some impetus for Beane to get Cook resigned. It's a bad look for the program to have a high profile hold out like that, especially when the theme of the entire Hard Knocks season was the family vibe that exists in Buffalo. What I was worried would be a negative for the Bills may have ended up being a big positive. -
its a nice little soundbite/fact if you are looking to downgrade the effectiveness of the draft... but really what we are saying is that we were unfortunate with Max getting hurt and Jackson is not good enough at this juncture to play... Sure wish he was pushing a vet and showing some spark, but apparently not... this was what we saw out of Epinessa his first year... limited action, needed to transform his body, understand the D etc... not making excuses as I am disappointed where he is at... I was hoping for more... but he wont be the first 3rd rd pick to not crack a lineup early on...

Sure, but it's not 17 or the offense that concerns me. I've also never said we'll lose, just that it will be a tough game. -
The Ray Davis-backup running back discussion
GunnerBill replied to TBBills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just don't think Davis has the vision that Cook has. I know not everyone on this board agrees but it is to me the #1 attribute for a running back in the NFL. James Cook has elite vision. Jonathan Taylor has elite vision. Saquon Barkley has elite vision. Derrick Henry a bit less so but he is something of a unicorn anyway. In a world where offensive linemen are generally lighter and more mobile than in the past you don't get as many pure roadgrading offensive lines that just blow people off the ball so running backs who see gaps as soon as they appear and can scamper through them before they close up again are increasingly valuable. I didn't love Davis's vision in college and I think he has missed too many gaps in the NFL too. Do I accept it is hard to get to the speed of how quickly you need to recognise gaps before they close if you are getting fewer than 5 touches a game? Sure. But I don't think it is a strength to start with. -
Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)

Depending on the time of day, the sun is a factor at the old stadium also. Late game 1pm or early game 4pm looking diagonally back towards the scoreboard side from the visitors side at the tunnel end puts the sun right in the way. This will be much less of a problem at the new stadium because the building itself will block the setting sun in a way the current one doesn't. There will be some pretty stark shadows at times though which are more of an issue for TV than for anything else. -
Oh let us hope, we could sure use him...

Where is Landon Jackson ???
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why'd you cut it off at 72? Seems like a strange number... almost as though picks 75, 76, 80, 82, 88, 89, 91, 98, and 99 also haven't played in the 3rd round.
