I'm not saying he doesn't have any talent but he runs a 4.6 Tre even after this last knee surgery is still that fast lol the eagles don't have the greatest secondary if they thought he was going to help their team they would have kept him

Joe Marino’s All 22 from Bucs preseason game
WhitewalkerInPhilly replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Look if we are going to get nitpicky, how is Walker looking at taking over a spot compared to every other rookie? Hairston was duking it out with Tre before he got hurt. Sanders is the closest and is still well behind Oliver for the spot. He's spent a lot of time on the turf Landon Jackson had some tough early preseason moments. Everyone else is depth right now. This isn't to be Debbie Downer on our rookies. I think you are going to see upgrades on a roster that was already very good by the end of the year. But for all the very real flaws I think Walker is the closest to breaking out -
Maybe playing games with what constitutes a "crime"? Is a crime a complaint or a police report? Is it an indictment, a conviction? If the police arrest somebody, gather evidence, then send the case to the DA and they refuse to indict or charge the suspect is that a crime? It sounds like the only thing they can't hide or fudge is murder if only because there's a dead guy.

The Eagles just waived a really good CB today about an hour ago. Let the games begin. If he clears the waiver list... Beane on him like flies.... Eli Ricks. He's good. Better than White and Rasul. Would be a perfect #2/3 CB and surely until Max is healthy!

Report: Terry McLaurin requests trade
RoscoeParrish replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Um i thought he got a larger portion guaranteed for injury at signing -
I like the Jones 85 yarder against Simms the best. 4 guys immediately realized, turned up field and sprinted the sideline. Jones had a blocking party with him.

This is a fair response and the first and only to touch on the possibility that Dolac didn't want to come to the Bills. Good job. As I actually posted, "It's absolutely fair to question why the Bills didn't secure his services" meaning it's fair to question why they didn't draft him. Had he been drafted, he wouldn't have had a choice and I really doubt he'd have a problem with being drafted by the Bills. Does anyone think differently? As you point out, players like Buffalo Joe, Cam Lewis and JaMarcus Ingram came to the Bills because of the UB pipeline... the professional friendship that UB Football and the Bills enjoy. Not that football decisions should be based on PR but imagine also the positive effect of Dolac signing with the Bills... as opposed to Kaden Prather. This is pretty much the last time I'll say it or imply it... the Bills should have drafted Shaun Dolac. Flame away...

We knew Ogunjobi was going to be suspended before he signed.

Stay in your lane on KO coverage.

As Michael would say in The Office, "That's what she said!"

Another poster indicated that they would wait until after cut down day to talk about it... could mean he is fine and ready to go... could be a longer term injury... but either way someone else knowing... if it is a player or a team (especially if it is more severe and our need is more immediate) would love to know that information if they are bargaining with us... so based on that I suspect it is an injury that will at least make him unavailable game 1 at minimum... that is my guess...

I liked Nantz before him and romo read all the press clippings and fell in love with themselves

Why did Buechele start and play the entire game?
Fleezoid replied to DeepPass's topic in The Stadium Wall
It seems to me that the last preseason game has always been rather irrelevant. Use to be the 4th, now the 3rd. -
Hate to say it but I fear that the Ravens are going to steamroller us in the opener. Our receiving corps is suspect, our D-line adds may well eventually pan out in a big way but we need to have rooks contribute meaningful reps that you can't always count on getting from the get go, and our secondary is of questionable quality. Fortunately I'm usually wrong.

I don’t know of anyone in my 40 years of medicine that referred to the knee as “ lower leg”. It’s the joint between upper and lower leg. it is referred to as the knee. Not saying they couldn’t get an mri to check a knee but it’s not lower leg unless perhaps they are being deceptive. However, you can need an MRI to evaluate for occult fx, interosseous membrane injury of lower leg( high ankle injury) , formal ankle mortise for Talar injury , but more likely e v a l of formal ankle ligaments both medially and laterally. If he has an acl or pcl injury, that’s the knee ,not lower leg. It’s obvious it’s complicated his return. And they are not divulging his actual diagnosis to not appear desperate when trying to add by trade or FA markets,or cuts to their cb depth so Beane still has leverage imo. I think it’s a variant of high ankle given the lack of timetable , possible ir. Just guessing tho. Why else be so quiet about it, well high ankle really vary in recovery time. Best wishes. Will eventually find out why they refused to give any info.

The one technique in Sean's defense is not like a traditional zero technique plug in a 34 If you're going to line up in a four defensive front rotation you need to have enough push from both your defensive tackles... The best defensive tackles have the ability to move over the front and not just be pigeonholed to one technique We certainly do have some run stuffers like ogunjobi... But when you sit in nickel like we do You need penetration... Whoever's lining up at the three technique and the one technique are going to have to both push the pocket and get pressure on the quarterback that's why even the one techniques we've drafted like Harrison Phillips are not plugs... Even your best one technique like Dexter Lawrence gets after the quarterback and collapsed pockets Star latulae was a classic plug that we gave a lot of money to and remember how that worked? people complained daily about him here Stopping the run is insanely taxing on your body and there's about five 1 techs that make their bread and butter only on that There's not a list of 25 one techniques who are shutting down the run weekly for years.. it's a small list

Of course instincts and feel for the game play a huge role... but we're talking about two players at the front end of their careers. It's like people watched "The Bears vs Buffalo Joe" and have decided that Andreesen will never be anything more than the player he was one week ago.

I hate losing to Boston, in all sports. I'm in excuse mode on this one, though. They get the day before the series off, and NY has extra innings and gets home close to dawn (and looked like it in the 4 error 1st game). And I thought until yesterday, the umps were kind of one-sided in Boston's favor. Last night went the Yankees way in terms of the calls. I'm actually feeling pretty good about the home stretch. Getting Cruz back is huge, and makes the BP pretty strong. I don't think they'll need to rely on Doval or Leiter in any high leverage situations now. And Williams has found his groove again pitching before the 9th inning. Given their remaining schedule, I think the Yankees still get the WC1.

Why did Buechele start and play the entire game?
Sierra Foothills replied to DeepPass's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fair enough. How about the idea of being with a winning organization rather than a dysfunctional one? -
ESPN reports he signed a three year extension today.

I’m not banking on hope, but he would be an excellent fit here if healthy. With his cap number, I think he stays. JMO

Because he’s cheap and stupid, of course, and he will end up paying more in the long run. Pay them before anyone’s back is up against the wall, the way Beane usually does it.
