Is there an NFL team with a weaker WR group than the Bills?
oldmanfan replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
Here’s the thing. They gave Josh two new weapons in Palmer and Moore. You not liking their choices is not the same as the team not giving him any new weapons. -
I really get a kick out of you. You claim they're not mentioned in the Bible, yet the first Gentile to become Christian was a eunuch. Read Acts 8 vs 26. Read the story of Esther, which is so interesting it should be made into a movie. A personal question. Do you ever research things you post?

Malaki Starks wants to pick off Josh Allen most
May Day 10 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
I dont think anyone would have though of/said JP Losman or EJ Manuel -
No doubt BAl & KCY got theirs in the draft and FA, however, this is a post where everyone seems to be making reference to *weird* feelings, and I have one on my own, for some reason I think that PM15, even if still a youngster, has already peaked, maybe since 2023? and it showed on the past SB, they got us again, but it was in thier backyard, after a very iffy season, where, we can say they got the top 1 seed, in many things going their way, one of them with a blocked (superlow) kick fron DVR, or a ball snapped into OAKs QB shoulder, but never in dominating fashion. Lamar is Lamar, but one QB thta has not distiguished himself for stepping up on key moments, but because of shrinking... so, maybe our *luck* comes from the joint in time, for both of those two teams, not being at thier peak at QB?...who knows?

My first comment was it's just a kid saying he wants to take on the best. Totally understandable. But to name drop Allen brings a level of attention he may not want as a rookie. -
Well, I keep on thinkin' 'bout you, Sister Golden Hair surprise And I just can't live without you Can't you see it in my eyes? I been one poor correspondent, and I been too, too hard to find But it doesn't mean you ain't been on my mind

cool. tell me what it says about them. I mean the purpose was too stop guards from banging the king's concubines, right. They were usually slaves. Lot's of slaves mentioned in the bible, so maybe. So did someone speak out agains eunuchism? I think nowadays everyone thinks being a eunuch is undesirable. I guess there's probably a few people on the periphery who might find it appealing some how. As long as they don't bother me.....

I didn't before but your words have convinced me .

I've mentioned it numerous times in this thread and others. That is strictly on the coaches making yet another bad decision in KC. Why wasnt Cook on the field? You think he held himself out? Cook was their best personnel. He had the best game out of anyone on Offense. Him not being out there was a clear mistake made by coaches. He should have been out there in crunch time. Take it up with McD. Or better yet, pay him so it forces McD out of making these same dumb mistakes. Spotrac market value is like Zillow market value for homes, and they clearly state they have a +/- of 30% (which is a huge swing!).

I'd be more open to it if the data of RB's declining after age 26 wasn't so damning. Beane has the rare advantage of seeing how how an older brother (siblings share anywhere from 37 percent to 65 percent of their parents genetic variants) declined once he hit age 27. I'd even consider a franchise tag next year depending on how he performs this upcoming season.

On paper it's the best roster we've had. Unfortunately, Baltimore and KC look to have gotten stronger too
-
Cook should have been out there.

While I did not spend as much time as prior years looking into the draft, I like that Beane addressed positions of need on D. I will be ecstatic to get two starters out of this draft. Any improvement in the pass rush might be enough to put us over the top. We have a great RB in Cook. If Coleman lives up to his talent, we can really say that we have all the ingredients. I was impressed by our run D in the playoffs. We neutralized Henry and Jackson in the divisional round. I credit Clappy for that. The Eagles are young, talented and physically dominating with many of their best on rookie or team friendly contracts. They'll be in the mix again. We are an elite team that can beat anyone on a given day. We need to put it all together on the day it matters.

I think most people don't realize, that Darrelle Revis was under 6 feet tall. He was also 5'11". For context: here are there combine numbers Revis: 5'11.5" 32.5" arms 8.25 hands Weight 204lbs. Mad Max: 5'11" 31" arms 8.75 hands Weight 183lbs, Height/length is not a problem. The big difference of course, is weight. 204lbs for a corner, is pretty big and in the upper tier. Mad Max stated that he's already back up to about 190lbs, and went down in weight, to maximize his 40 time, which we all know was 4.28. Revis did not run. That being said, he doesn't need to be a 200lb corner. If he's in that 190-193lbs range, it would be perfect, in my opinion. He's still a young guy and won't get that full grown man strength until he's about 25. It's like in H.S, you don't go for the chick that's already thick, you have to properly project.

My dad used to mange facilities and grounds keeping at a local school district. A beer broke through a clarion window in the night and could not figure out how to get back out. It did extensive damage to the room and furniture trying to get out. It was a bloody mess. The sherif and game warden had to come in and euthanize the deer.

Really? And it wasn't a "few bishops." The money was sent to Rome to pay for St. Peters. Luther simply challenged the practice, and they put a hit on him. I can specifically remember the issue in my Catholic education centuries later. What about today? "The church offers indulgences under specific conditions. Besides visiting designated holy sites such as the National Shrine of Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini during set periods of time and for special occasions, Catholics can receive indulgences by reciting a set of approved prayers or making charitable contributions. The 1999 “Manual of Indulgences” provides guidelines for church-sanctioned practices. "The church teaches that even when a person has been ritually forgiven, God’s justice still requires some punishment to purge the sin – at the very least, suffering and miseries on Earth. Moreover, the church teaches, these hardships are to be welcomed because they purify the soul and heal the stain of original sin." Invention None of this is Biblical.

Spotrac is great for looking up done contracts. But their forecasting of "market values"? It's terrible. They constantly undervalue guys and predict wrong.

Was Chien Ming-Wang a real player? There are more coming. Work for a MLB team. The guys who scout for the pro leagues here actually have a much harder job than I have. About five guys a year will sign with a MLB club. They have to scout everybody. And, by the way, ***** on Asian baseball at your peril. These boys can play.

Thought Exercise: Best Bills QB (99-2017) who'd be JA17 backup
Alphadawg7 replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was yelling for 2 rounds to take Wilson...when we traded up I thought 100% it had to be for Wilson. Part of my soul died when I heard TJ Graham's name called and I was like who Da F is that? -

Your point is valid. Bills fans automatically think we will pick up right where we left off in league scoring. But in fact, every year is different. Each new year is a complete reset. There is no "picking up where you left off". Our main competition is stocking up on WR because Reid knows the value. Ravens will be better. The bengals will be back in the mix. Watch out for the Chargers. We need to give Josh every tool available to be successful next season. And we have reloaded the defense several times already in McDermotts 10 year tenure. Does anyone honestly think this year will be different ? At least give Josh some new weapons in this completely new season to outscore teams in the playoffs. -
Trying to be more optimistic in life. I said I was being more confident than usual because the one seed is more attainable than ever at this point. Five out of ten of the teams that won the one seeds made the Super Bowl since the playoffs expanded in 2020. Once they started seeding in Super Bowl X, 53 of the 100 teams that made the Super Bowl were number one seeds in their conference. We've lost one this year. Darn it. There goes my optimistic goal.

The Battle for Jobs at Safety and Corner.
GASabresIUFan replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just watched the embedded video and it was interesting to hear what Gray and Beane said about Hancock. I also say an article that overthecap.com has us with just 1.9 mill in cap space. The cap space situation makes Lewis' spot on the team even more tenuous.
