Hate to say this … but the Pats are effing good

The world where the Bills are better off without stiff AFC East competition does not exist. -

I mean, he does shoulder a lot of the blame, he hasn’t played well. If he hit some of these receivers who have been open, I suspect the WR crowd wouldn’t be as loud. Josh doesn’t shoulder all the blame, of course, but he’s not reading the field well or trusting what he sees. His accuracy and ball placement has also been off. We can say “it’s everyone else’s fault,” but Josh simply has to play better and he’d tell you the same. -

the second one- if shavers sells his route instead of just kind of skipping downfield maybe the safety declares earlier but it's just sloppy wr play from 14 even still i think he can get to moore if torrence isnt getting walked back into the throw but in the end i think checkdown is the right conclusion -

All roads lead to Epstein
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to Homelander's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I'm doing well. I pretty much always am. Thank you for asking. As for believing her, gosh, 4th, who knows? She clearly had trauma in her life and on a human level, it's impossible not to feel badly for her. She's not here to tell her story, so it's up to you to make up your own mind. From my perspective--Geo Clooney is quite popular with the dems, and was pretty tight with Harvey Weinstein back in the day--so it wouldn't surprise me to find out he was swimming in murky waters. Could be on the other hand he had a one off completely unrelated to Epstein, or he was deeply involved and one of the reasons Biden didn't release. Or, maybe it's all made up. -
Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?
BillsShredder83 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
They did this with a CB drafted really high, traded him to Carolina, maybe 3 years back? After checking CJ Henderson (9th overall, 2020), was traded ~ week 3 of the following season: "Henderson was traded to the Carolina Panthers with a 2022 fifth-round pick in exchange for tight end Dan Arnold and a 2022 third-round pick" Im not sure how much there is to draw on that, other than their is precedence -
It would be nice - but unfortunately, I think this year is about need over nice. We absolutely need WR, and with Ed out, I'd guess they see DT as a pretty big need also. Those are the 2 positions I'd expect by deadline.

IF we trade for a WR it'll most likely be for Rasheed Shaheed and for multiple reasons here's why... 1. Saints are 1-7 which means they're not making the playoffs which makes them sellers at the trade deadline November 4th, and a realistic trade partner. 2. Salary Cap wise, we can afford Shaheed. The Bills currently have $2.54 million in salary cap space. As of Week 8, a team trading for wide receiver Rashid Shaheed would take on a prorated cap hit of approximately $2.22 million for the remainder of the year which we can afford. 3. Trading for Shaheed opens up an additional roster spot since he has experience as a WR, KR, and PR. Bills currently have 1 open roster spot. Ed Oliver is expected to go on IR which will open another roster spot which will be used on his replacement. Curtis Samuel and Brandon Codrington are the primary KR and both are tied for the 5th best in the NFL with an average of 27 yards per KR, however Codrington is averaging a paltry 5.8 yards per Punt Return which ranks as the 5th worst in the NFL amongst all Punt Returners, and dead last amongst all PR with 10+ Punt Returns. Shaheed currently ranks as the 9th best PR with an average of 13.3 yards per Punt Return. Shaheed has a history of being an elite returner, earning All-Pro honors as a punt returner in 2023. Shaheed is an upgrade to Codrington as the primary PR and backup KR to Samuel, and an upgrade to our outside WR's. Another benefit of trading for Shaheed is McD has the option to not dress Samuel on gamedays in favor of someone else with Shaheed as the primary KR instead of Samuel. By trading for Shaheed and releasing Codrington, kills up to 3 birds with 1 stone. Shaheed is a free agent after this season. I'd offer the Saints a 5th round pick but will go as high a 4th. -
The Patriots seem a year ahead of schedule and they are in this honeymoon of winning phase. There's no secret I'm scared of Mike Vrabel, I've been saying this since he was coach of Tennessee and when the Pat's were woo'ing him to be their coach. I kind of expected to lose that game in part because of Vrabel, Maye and our home winning streak was due to expire. Fact is, they beat the Saints, Titans and Browns....three teams with very poor offense when you look at NFL norms. They are kind of peaking right now and will come back to earth a bit.

My son (he’ll be 2 in January) vomited an absolutely criminal amount of milk all over my shoulder two hours before kickoff. If it weren’t for my old dad reflexes, it would have gone straight into my mouth. He was fine, just drank too much I think (haven’t we all!) and since Josh throws up before each game, little man might have to get used to some milk that’s just a few days past its prime on Sunday mornings (that’s a joke, juuuust a joke.)

Titans Trade Roger McCreary to Rams

I think that the Titans might have one of those defensive tackles you may speak of. Definitely would take more than a flyer pic, but could be exciting. -

The "Blame Josh" crowd has entered the chat with renewed vigor this week. Gonna be interesting when Beane humbles himself, trades for a WR, and the offense returns to effectiveness. -

Moore is supposed to get the ball on that play I think you've described the play accurately. Watch Allen's feet. He sets his feet to fake the throw on the screen, then he resets to look downfield. Shavers is covered AND the safety has turned to go that way, too. Allen resets his feet a third time, just as he was taught, to be in position to throw to Moore, but almost immediately resets to find the outlet in the left flat. It's a mistake by Allen. His feet do what he's supposed to do, but his brain doesn't. The play design is if he doesn't have the throw to Shavers, he's supposed to come off Shavers and find Moore. He knows he has Moore in single coverage because he's just seen the safety break to help on Shavers. He sets his feet to make the throw to Moore and then comes off it almost immediately. The play is designed for him to make one of three choices - Shavers, Moore, Davis. He had Moore and rushed right through the choice. -
Here's how my Sundays have been over the past 45 years.......i've never missed a Bills game, never. Whether it was on t.v, at the stadium, on the radio, didn't matter, i never missed a game. I would never even dare to miss a game. The Bills were my number one passion. Here's how my football experience has been over the past 5 years........if i can't make the games or see them on tv, i record them and watch them later. If my local broadcasting station doesn't show the Bills game that Sunday, i watch the highlights that evening. You know what i do every Sunday these days?.......i live my life and if i'm not busy and i don't have much going on and the Bills are playing, i might actually sit down to watch the game, however, i'm not going out of my way to watch the games anymore. Why would i?!?..........why would i waste a Sunday afternoon watching a game that puts us one step closer to the post season and one step closer to getting bumped out by KC, but oh no, Sweats, this year is different.......is it, is it really?!? Honestly, 13 seconds was the turning point for me and i know you could say that this could happen to any team and no, it could not........it was typical Bills and typical Shenanigans by our FO, pushing a mediocre product, believing they are the smartest ones in the room and trying to sell a fanbase a Porsche with Hyundai parts. I have spoken.

A Few Thoughts about the Panthers Game - Community Edition
Jerome007 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
For point #10, I find it weird the Bills D have difficulty with good QB runners since least year... as they practice against Josh and Trubinski! In the past, the Bills D never even allowed Lamar to run against them - and well, healthy Milano was the main reason. Obviously, the D played great yesterday and Dalton ain't running around. We'll see next week! Yesterday, it could have been Losman back there. I agree that it would feel boring for Josh if all games were like this, but come on, it won't always be this way. Perfect to maintain Josh in peak health. Josh didn't do anything special.. because he didn't have to! Hard to say he is off from yesterday... -
I'm torn, something is definitely "off". The word malaise was used up thread and that feels accurate. The lack of WR talent on the outside is killing us and it feels like they are trying to work it out with no breakthrough yet. I also think the perception that the Pats* have somehow rocketed past us is not right. We played terrible and honestly had them if not for a few miracle plays by Maye. He's going to be a good one but he's not king of the mountain yet. Hopefully we can figure it out and get hot late. It would be a massive letdown to go out early or worse not get in at all. I wouldn't be surprised either way I guess.
