I agree with all that you say about Nantz, one of the best. But Romo, who started off pretty good, though not as good as people said, seems unprepared, like he does not know specifics about the teams and players he is covering. Sort of like how Herbstreet was when he began the Thursday night gig--unprepared, so then they talk too much to compensate and then the cliches come rapid fire for the same reason. But the way Nantz and Romo gush over each other, their partner, is hard to watch, listen to, especially near the beginning and endings of the seasons, and during holidays.

I believe a good candidate would have beat trump. Had to be non woke Had to denounce the extreme left Had to propose stopping illegals Could have denounced sanctuary cities And in the end 10% or perhaps 15% of the pop who feared trump or detested his lies would not have voted for him. Finding that candidate...difficult...Rahm Emanuel, maybe.

Not earth shattering news, but Shadeur Sanders signs rookie contract.

I think there is a chance that the new coach is Deion. Pre-draft I thought there was a chance that Prime either replaced whoever Shadeurs coach was the next season, or he takes over and trades for him. I believe that a lot less post draft. The league seems to have spoken and the general consensus around Deion is "STFU". But I wouldn't write it off completely just yet. -
Remember when it was time to freak out over POTUS reported height and weight?

it means he can catch the overthrown balls at over 6000 inches tall

I agree. I think the Bills are heartless decision makers. The only question is which players make the team better? From that standpoint, Daquon is at risk, just like everyone else is at risk. Having said that, their decisions about who makes the team better will be colored by what they've seen players deliver in the past, so it may be hard to unseat simply by looking better in camp. A lot better, sure. A little better, well, then the coaches start thinking about what a guy adds in the locker room, whether the guy has shown a tendency to be better as the season progresses, etc. etc. McDermott has made it clear how much he values having a veteran leader in every position room. Daquan may be that veteran leader for the tackles.

It will be interesting to follow Elam. I lean that he is unfortunately just a bust, but we will soon find out. McDermotts track record of getting more out of CBs than other teams, guys like Dane and Levi, even Douglas is still pretty stellar regardless.

Yes because the cover up only started during the lead up to the second campaign. That and COVID came from a wet market.

Possibly moving back to WNY: northtowns or southtowns?
boater replied to Ned Flanders's topic in Off the Wall
For me, it was an age related decision. Snow removal is fun and games until you are 65-ish. After that it becomes a burden. I liked the real estate and lifestyle in the Southtowns better, but since it was a house that I planned on being in until age 75 or more, I chose the Northtowns with less snow. Even with the decreased snow in Amherst, I find wrestling with a snow blower at my age to be an unpleasant experience. I have sidewalks to clear and the town is quick to fine* people who don't clear snow--so I have no choice. * they don't fine you per se, the town will actually uninvited come clear your sidewalk for you and charge you a couple hundred bucks for doing so -
Yea Teller is the one. Scheme switch was critical there. Poona Ford is the only othere one I can think of who was good before. Meh here. Good after.
-
Teller. But that involved a position switch.

Side note with all these comparisons according to https://www.playerprofiler.com/nfl/kaden-prather/ he compares most to former Buffalo Bills WR Robert Foster.

So Daquan can't be cut because of who they signed wont help the defense? Its a weird take as I see all of the signed DL to be more impactful than Daquan based on what he put on tape last year. We spent about 35 mil on Free agents. Did you want one big splash signing or just different mid level guys than what we got (that 35 mil includes Palmer)? Im not sure how this is a botch? Feels like you wanted different players or wanted one big splash signing. Beane has always used free agency to fill holes so I assume you never like what they do in free agency?

US Egg replied to Ned Flanders's topic in Off the Wall
Planning on moving in a couple, now even, if something fits. I want out of the snow. As a Southtown lifer, hoping to find something in East Amherst/Clarence, it has as many options as the Southowns, Elma, Lancaster, as far as nice housing and close by conveniences, but is much busier and congested. I should add OP and Hamburg have more charm imo and closer to East Aurora and Ellicottville, which locals kind of flock to, particularly in the summer and fall, they have numerous festivals. They are also closer to and have more access options to the thruways, if that’s a concern Northtowns is close to Lewiston on the Niagara Gorge, which is quaint with shops and dining, and of course Canada, which has a some very nice offerings/towns not far from the Lewiston Bridge -
Really? Who knew? The point is that it’s not a particularly intriguing National matchup.

Keon Coleman success by route - Not pretty

Sure, but who are you saying "should have been elite", but isn't? I've yet to see a player leave Buffalo and all of a sudden reach an entire new level of higher play. -
IMO, they signed 6 defensive players in free agency who won’t make a dime’s worth of difference to the defense. That was my opinion before we knew of the suspensions. I view each of the defensive signings as backup level players who were signed as insurance in case they didn’t get what they wanted in the draft. I feel like they did a great job in the draft which further makes the free agent class even less important to me. I am glad they signed tre white. He is a great fit in the locker room and a great player to have with a young group of cornerbacks on the roster. I just do not see any of the others doing anything worthwhile and in particular helping the defense where it needed help other than just providing a baseline of depth. I think three of the players they signed not really even have a position clearly defined. I wouldn’t be surprised to see two or three of the free agents on defense they signed cut when they make the roster for week 1 or after the bye and the suspensions are up.

How Did Doctors Miss Stage 4 Cancer in Patient #1? Ed Morrissey Close. The Wall Street Journal comes so close to the correct question -- and answer. But close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades, and the WSJ seems oddly credulous where skepticism is not just warranted but downright required. The news that Joe Biden has a late-stage and metastatic version of normally slow-developing prostate cancer stunned everyone this weekend -- particularly doctors. Starting off with a Gleason score of nine usually only happens with men who refuse to have examinations for at least several years. Even apart from questioning the timing of the news, coming less than 48 hours after the release of the Hur tape, everyone also questioned how a president with constant access to the best medical care possible could not have been properly diagnosed. The obvious conclusion is that it wasn't missed. The Bidens hid the diagnosis, likely for the entirety of his presidency, as Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel told Morning Joe viewers yesterday. However, the Wall Street Journal plays it straight today, not even broaching the possibility of a cover-up while attempting to find an answer elsewhere: The news that the former president is battling an aggressive, stage-4 prostate cancer that has spread to the bone ignited a public debate about why a person with peerless access to medical care was diagnosed at such an advanced stage with a disease that is quite common in men his age. Many prostate cancers in the U.S. are detected with a blood test that measures prostate-specific antigen, or PSA. The test is cheap and can help find potential cancer before symptoms appear. There are some particularly aggressive prostate cancers that don’t secrete enough PSA to be flagged on the test. But those are rare, doctors said. https://hotair.com/ed-morrissey/2025/05/20/wsj-wonders-how-did-doctors-miss-stage-4-cancer-in-patient-1-n3802944 https://www.wsj.com/health/joe-biden-had-unrivaled-medical-care-how-did-his-cancer-go-undetected-93d735d4?mod=hp_lead_pos8

This is a good selection of plays and Erik's framing of the problem is exactly right - it's miscues between Allen and Kincaid leading to a lot of these. Something I notice is that Kincaid's movements are a lot of times unpredictable, the speed and direction of his routes is a little all over the place. Which makes it impossible for Allen to deliver accurate passes. I think Kincaid lacks confidence in his own ability to read the defense, and that lack of confidence is showing up in his sporadic route running. On a couple of these plays he is running past an open zone window into coverage, or inexplicably slowing down when he should instead continue running into open space. Allen needs to be able to know where Kincaid is headed and trust that Kincaid is reading the spacing properly, and in these clips that is clearly not happening. Also in these clips Kincaid fails to make a single difficult catch. If you're going to be a primarily pass catching TE in the NFL you need to be able to occasionally rip a ball away from a LB or scoop a low pass. It can't always be perfect. The margin for error with him was overall just way too low because of his route running and catch ability. No wonder we kept his ADOT low and made Knox the primary target on deeper throws. I know the team's messaging has been that he needs to get his strength up. I continue to believe that his biggest area of improvement will actually come in the film room. Separation only counts if you end up in the right spot to create the best possible throwing window. Separating but then continuing to run into coverage might make your separation metrics look better, but it doesn't make an effective route.

Ingram played 67% of ST snaps and 19% of Defensive snaps (including a 2 INT start against MIA on short turnaround in week 2). Codrington is much more replaceable than him (see the playoffs where Ingram got a jersey and Codrington was a healthy scratch). Im looking to replace codrington cause i view him as a wasted roster spot; though ill admit he did a good job last year. Still need to offer more than only doing punt returns (wasnt returning kick offs by the end of the season).

Calls to Lay Off Biden by the Democrats Fall on Deaf Ears, With Good Reason David Strom Liberals have been calling for everybody to quit talking about the Biden health coverup now that he has announced his Stage IV cancer diagnosis. They would have a point if the only reason to focus on his obvious mental decline was to make fun of Biden. Making fun of a person when they are down is, indeed, pretty low, no matter how much you dislike them. Biden will soon be leaving this mortal coil, and it serves no purpose to pile on to his woes. But the reason why people are focusing so much attention on the Biden cover-up isn't Joe Biden's flaws as a human being or a president; it's that there was a systematic cover-up conducted by all the people around him, leaving the country with a non-functioning president. A cabal of insiders appointed themselves the proxy-president, and that is an attack on our system of government. https://hotair.com/david-strom/2025/05/20/calls-to-lay-off-biden-by-the-democrats-fall-on-deaf-ears-n3802945

Dont get me wrong, I love Beane. I have a "Big Baller Beane" shirt that is my lucky Tshirt and I wear it all the time. It's just offseason discussion. I was more daydreaming about what it could have looked like with Warner and Milano on the field. Not trying to bash the Edmunds pick. I wonder if that pick puts us over the top against KC in any of the playoff games? The challenges Beane would have had to keep everyone and get everyone paid? Who else would we have let walk in order to divert that money to Warner? Maybe Ed?
