Seat Prices for Old Highmark Tear Down
QCity replied to Riverboat Ritchie's topic in The Stadium Wall
Where will the money go? All net proceeds from all county-owned assets and products will go to Erie County, according to the news release. Starting to make sense. -
His has been severely outmanned compared to the Chiefs who we played the last 2 years and we lost by a field goal and Josh had the ball at the end to Win or tie Steve spagnola is universally praised here and he had a healthy defense and he only gave up three less points than us lol Something is missing.. if the Chiefs had better talent on defense and less injuries.. maybe McDermott coached a much better game than spagnola who I've always said is slightly overrated here We didn't lose by 17.. we lost by a field goal severely outmanned

What does "Complementary Football" mean in Bills Coachspeak?
mjt328 replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
My guess is that he's mostly talking about field position. When the offense turns the ball over or fails to move, it makes it harder for the defense to stop a scoring drive. When the defense gets turnovers and stops the opponent deep, the offense doesn't have to go as far to score. The fear amongst many fans is that he's also talking about time of possession, and limiting possessions. In other words, the offense shouldn't score too quick, because it puts the defense back on the field without much rest. Which if course is asinine and foolish when you have a Hall of Fame QB, and your plan is to play ball-control. -

Cooks can take his #18 now. About the only number under 20 left.

Game week thread - Bills at Steelers
RichRiderBills replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm going to have a crazy hot take and it's that difference this year is mainly turnover related ( i.e not getting them and us committing them) AND Josh not taking short easy completions trusting YAC. We fix both those we will be fine, warts and all. That being said not saying Brady and WRs are not suckin. -

Certain Bills fans here have been constantly complaining about how Buffalo needs that #1 WR since that first loss, and yet they were the #2 scoring team in the NFL last season, #1 including the playoffs. What those fans don't get is the Bills were able to score like crazy in the passing game last season, and in particular against Detroit, and LA Rams. What they also don't get is for whatever reason, this OC has fallen on his face this year. Whether on purpose or a lack of knowledge on how to scheme a great passing offense. My take, I think it's because he is looking elsewhere. That game plan against the Texans showed the world he doesn't shiv a git about getting Josh Allen injured or killed, as he didn't have an extra lineman in there to max protect and kept calling for mid to deep passing plays. EIGHT sacks showed us that. I think he wants out of Buffalo for some reason. If I'm McD, I'd oblige to a degree and demote him. I could be wrong, and he is simply inept at installing new game plans. I fear it's not the receivers, it's the OC!

I made a thread on him a few weeks ago Certainly still a long way from the NFL.. because you never know how kids grow over 3 to 5 years .. there's a lot of late bloomers at running back and high injury rates Goes to a school like Ohio State he might be buried on the bench for years might never actually crack the starting lineup He would be better off at a school like Kansas or Syracuse or Indiana His talent is tremendous tho ... The area hasn't had a blue chip running back like that in a while

Just a guess here, but the Calvinist stress on literacy strongly connects it to the idealized version of a republican citizen. The school house is such an American thing, and it was very Protestant in origin. Through the New England churches local governmental decisions were argued over and voted on. Self government. Though other colonies had less democratic colonial governments, I know. The historical narrative of a fight against the great centralized power of Rome, which inspired many to even greater flights of freedom from Calvinism itself which was a continuing drama in American Protestantism. So that legacy inspired. Federalism is many ways reflects the way Protestant churches were themselves organized. I think Calvinism strongly influenced the ideas behind republicanism. Let’s remember the first great awakening had already taken place, and it reflected so many issues in religion that were fought over for secular reasons later, freedom of thought and freedom to organize as many saw fit. So Calvinism was “relaxed” by 1788, but its influence in many ways weighed on the founders, imo

Dude it was a clean hit what are they supposed to do start a brawl lol Some of the Bills players literally took a knee and were praying when Josh went down you are way off base The people on the team literally almost had a heart attack

What does "Complementary Football" mean in Bills Coachspeak?
Chaos replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think most fans understand the offense has been mismanaged for several years. -
Let's Go Brandin? Oh wait... No, never mind... Seriously, never say that again... I just threw out my keyboard.

Because Bllls cannot gain much traction passing , I am starting to lose interest. Brady might do well to go back to heavy sets , running and passing to the TEs. Hawes says hello. all 3 RBs can catch and Shakir was playing very well. Brady and Co seemed to have either overthought week to week or situational ball. Or have become confused as the the Plan Tell me again why they shifted away from that and went to empty sets ?

Fair point on the different situations and the end result for the Bills if either player reached their potential.

Seat Prices for Old Highmark Tear Down
Bob Lamb replied to Riverboat Ritchie's topic in The Stadium Wall
Seeing as Erie County and NYS taxpayers have been paying for these seats over the last 48 years - how can you charge them for refuse? More NFL greed. -
Sen. Mark Kelly Is A Great American
sherpa replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I never suggested in any way that Kelly did anything wrong When someone does something illegal, let me know. So far nothing. I certainly knew the rules, and didn't need a reminder. -
White Jerseys, Blue Pants against Pittsburgh

Reminds me of the pre-Kelly era. Not sure why they dropped the blue pants in 1986? Must have been out of fashion at the time. -
