I said this in another thread when he was passing out stuff to the homeless, he's an extremely wise dude and has an old soul, I'm 10 years older and still admire his wisdom -
Here’s Why Asian Americans Shifted Right by Neetu Arnold The 2024 election season featured an unprecedented number of Asian Americans, from Vivek Ramaswamy’s rise in the Republican primary to soon-to-be second lady Usha Vance, to the Democratic candidate herself, Kamala Harris. Just a few years ago, this would have been a cause for celebration on the political left: Asian Americans have reliably voted for Democrats for decades. But the election results revealed that racial and ethnic minorities are not as loyal to the Democratic Party as previously believed. Much like Hispanics, Asian American voters made a major shift to the right. Nationally, 2020 and 2024 exit polls from the Washington Post show a 9-point shift- to the Republicans in the presidential race among Asian American voters relative to 2020. In some states, such as Nevada and Texas, the polls suggest that Trump won the Asian American vote outright. The NBC News exit poll found a 5-point shift to the right nationally among Asian Americans relative to 2020. And in their survey of Asian American voters prior to the election, Asian Americans Advancing Justice saw a 7-point shift away from the Democrats relative to 2020. https://amgreatness.com/2024/11/21/heress-why-asian-americans-shifted-right/

The Bengals are going to score a lot. I could see Burrow having a fantastic season "stats wise" and if the Bengals defense can be somewhat decent and they make the playoffs then I could see Burrow winning the award. But can that defense be somewhat respectable as many think it will be bad.

Parsons traded to Green Bay, given $188 million contract
BillsShredder83 replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
"I'd rather have Peyton Manning at 7years & $98m" I agree with the sentiment, but how many biga$$ DL contracts have been handed out since then? That market is long and gone, even in a year... which is why the $47m is just another regular contract -

No it’s not. If I run a business, and we are not making a profit. And one of my employees who thinks they are an amazing asset wants a lot more money to work for me. But we are not getting it done w them. And they are a bit too much about themselves instead of the team. Why would I want to pay that same person more money? Rather I am letting him go to greener pastures, and getting a nice return in some new assets to try and turn things around make a better more profitable company. i am not paying any defensive player that kind of money, especially one who is marginal against the run. And especially in an era when football is an offensive game. I guarantee you the Lions will scheme him right out, to where he is not a factor. And the Vikings will likely do the same. Kenny Clark was a big part of the Packers defense. I wish the Bills had him. -

I can explain it again for you, but I can’t understand it for you. -
They all got 1 pick - so its not as if they got to rank who they thought would finish 1-2-3. Bo nix felt like a weird choice but who knows i guess.

Bills Working Out Kickers - Bass Not Healthy?

Carpenter had two outstanding years, one good year and one bad year. FWIW he's the most accurate kicker in the history of the franchise, even with the bad year included. -

Im ok with not making the move for Parsons but you’re going to have to explain this statement to me. Best QB in the NFL (argue w a wall) Elite OL Above Average RB Room Average TE Room with potential We’ll see what the WR Room is Same for DL, but tons of investment Top Tier Pair of LB’s Top Tier Slot Corner Top 12ish CB1 and a RD1 Pick at CB2 We’ll see about S How is that “not close to good enough” for a team that was just in the AFC Championship Game and lost by a ball placement and/or dropped pass? -

Crazy to think there weren't multiple contending teams willing to spend on a 26yr old at the 2nd most premium position in football. Most contending teams already have a franchise QB.... none of these already contending teams ever have a realistic chance to draft a pass rusher like this because A- they're rare and B- they're off the board within the first 10 picks. Salary cap is exploding exponentially year to year. The money is a tough pill to swallow, but its fine -

The interesting part to me is that I didn’t mention Cook, I pointed out well known Dems from NYS with…issues. Let’s let Cook have her day in the sun, let’s let the government handle things as they see fit. It would be nice to think there was zero politics in it, but the game is played the way it’s played. On a scale of 1 to 100, where 1 represents no political shenanigans and 100 represents the DOJ executing a warrant on an adversaries home for doing what it seems most high ranking individuals have done for decades, I’d put this at a 5. On the bright side, while I’d bet Homey passes on your question, I do believe he’ll offer a crackerjack of a story about an R leaning alderman in a town in Idaho who parked his personal vehicle in a No Standing zone in 1988. -

It would have probably meant not extending 2 or 3 of Cook, Bernard, Shakir, Rousseau or Benford (and those in extended players likely walking at FA). It would also have meant no Hairston if we traded before the draft. So we’d be looking at Tre White/Rasul Douglas quality CB2 for the foreseeable future (i.e. a liability). How well did our pass rush do vs the Chiefs when Mahomes could just pass it quickly to whoever Elam was “covering”. I think a deal for someone like Parsons only makes sense if you are in a 2 year “all in” window. Where you are pushing your chips in like the Rams did. Our roster is not close to good enough to make an “all in” move right now. -

Beane does have a habbit of bringing in a bunch of reduntant players and overpaying for mid talent. Instead of bringing in 4 or 5 JAGS he could get that one elite guy. -

This I need to use the word “bloviating” more often. -
i like this point for early in the season for a few reasons. our depth guys early and often can be utilized to take reps when guys are fresh. the defense plays most of the entire game and does not sub like corners or safeties. sure, in the beginning of the season they're the healthiest they may ever be in the season but they're not going to be able to take guys running flare routes. the first quarter or half i hope we just send guys down field over the top of the Ravens defense even if we run it or throw under routes. i want to stretch them out and put the long routes on film for other teams - especially because long route schemes and plays are only so limited. we won't reveal too much if we just send Samuel, Coleman, Shakir, Kincaid, Moore, Palmer deep every route. In this I want to put Kincaid in positions where Josh will feel comfortable just pushing him the ball with no risks. Josh already has it in his head that he did not trust Kincaid enough because his words were that he did not find him last year. I want to make it easy for Josh to find Kincaid every play but at the same time give him someone downfield +20 every play.

thought you might enjoy this one you once had in your regular rotation. In a related (by related I mean wholly unrelated) matter, why did you post 650 times in the Lincoln Project thread as Billstime, but zero as Highlander? What’s that all about? -
Have the Scottish police released the cctv footage of the girl attacking the Bulgarian couple? That could put this to bed real quick.

I don't miss the bickering bills. This and Davis...good character men -
I remember Edgar Martinez as a good hitter. But had no appreciation for the guy until I read more about him. Worked in a factory at one point before he tried out for the Mariners. Quiet, hard working, stayed with the same franchise 17 years. Nobody ever says a bad thing about him… Yeah growing up I appreciate him more today
-
As good as Shakir is, and Ofcourse I don't want him to miss any time, but that's the position I worry about the least having Josh jacobs and Elijah Moore

A generation is defined as what 10 years?? 60 years and six generations of fans. Along with the Dead you have the Rolling Stones and the surviving members of The Who still performing as example of bands who have been popular for just as long. I don't think Taylor Swift's music or popularity will have that kind of lasting power.
