Nope your not allowed an opinion. Don't you know we all start with 3,716 points and for every mile you are from the stadium you are deducted 1 pt, if you hit 0 you are allowed no opinion and go straight to jail for expressing any form of sentiment about the team. I didn't make the rules sorry. -
Did I miss when we peaked? We didn’t make anyone punt last year. Either scores or turnovers… which is not sustainable and won’t win championships. Sunday was more of the same.

It seems at least in the last few years the Bills and Jets games have been really intense will lots pushing and shoving after the whistle. Didn't Dawkins get into a shouting match with them after the game in the runway when the game was over in OP a few years ago.

Game Week thread - Bills at Jets
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
We have to be smart about this game. Every time we go to NYJ, it’s the same thing. If we take care of the football, run well, play pretty good defense and ST, we can win comfortably. I would prefer a very conservative game plan. Take points when you can get them, etc. -
The Chiefs are in real danger of going 0-2. The Eagles even at Arrowhead will be a tough game to win. Similar to the Bills having to beat the Ravens in OP.
-
This is an in division game, they are always a hard game, and as usual we have the target on our backs, every team wants the bragging rights that a win vs us brings, Our boys gotta be bringing it for every one of these games! GO BILLS!!!

Like many are pointing out, the Jets and Ravens have a lot of similar traits. The two big thing that stand out for me is that Hall is no DH and Fields is no Lamar. Facing the Ravens was a really nice opportunity to remember how to play teams build like this. Things like setting the edge, gap integrity ECT... Jets are like the Great Value brand of Raven football. I expect the Bills defense...who actually played well late in the Ravens game, to be fine tuned and ready to easily shut down the Jet offense. And while Allen does seem to get bottled up by the Jet defense...we all saw his stats against the Ravens in last year's. Yet he went off for almost 400 passing yards and is likely to win OPOW honors. I see him having some success against the Jet defense. But now that defense doesn't have CJ Mosley. No DJ Reed. Heck they gave up 4 TD passes to Aaron Rodgers and he's 127 years old. Josh should eat well Sunday.

This looks great, BUT... Any given Sunday...

How much better is the Ravens team on paper than the Bills?
BullBuchanan replied to Lost's topic in The Stadium Wall
That is very silly. Did you watch Them put up 238 rushing yards on us? That happened largely because their oline and TEs created massive gaps for their runners. On the 30 yard TD run, they absolutely dominated our front 7. If you want to say that's because our d-line is drastically inferior than ok, but I don't agree with that. In pass protection, they looked quite good too. On defense they have an all-pro safety in Hamilton, and their 1st round rookie Starks is probably better than anything we have by default. We might not have a Top 64 safety. Roquan Smith is another all pro player, for which we have no comparable player (the ghost of Matt Milano notwithstanding). Marlon Humphrey is an all-pro corner. The gap between Henry and Cook is massive. They also have a significant edge at TE when Likely is healthy. He and Andrews (another all-pro) are each better than anyone we have unless the lights go on for Kincaid this year. None of this is to say the Bills are bad/suck whatever, but to act like their talent levels are equal is a total lack of respect for the Ravens. -

In fairness to Rapp, Henry is not his key on the play. It was Bernard’s key and he got his ass handed to him. That said, Rapp took a bad angle and displayed his lack of athleticism as he often does. And not to make any excuses for the D’s sorry performance, but they were gassed after chasing Lamar all over the field on the previous play. Pretty much an out of gas piss poor effort by everyone on that play -

Day 4 of my Captivity Boots is an ass. Keeps mocking my Bills jersey so I munch on my carrots, drink my beer and make high pitched screeching sounds to torment him. The rabbits have periodically transported me to the fifth dimension. I can see the “light at the end of the tunnel” but the 16” subfloor of rabbit crap blocks my path to freedom. Plus, they set up a security rabbit. I guess they think it intimidates me but I don’t have the heart to tell them it’s a wicker Easter lawn ornament covered in a criss cross 50’ strand of LED lights. Dumb f’ing rodents. Took a dump in their “bedroom” and now they are really pissed at me. I told Boots there’s more where that came from so he opted to finally send my message to King Rabbit. Waiting for “his highness” to visit me to discuss a settlement. Staying dry, cool and rested. Please send to Figster. BBF -

Yeah, and the formatting of the message board sucks, too. -
There's a bunch of things unfortunately. First is that the Ravens intrinsically play a style that's a natural counter to McDermott's defense. Our philosophy is aggressive single gapping up front and playing zone, where the idea is that the priority is to shut down the pass first. Runs are stopped by rolling the dice and stopping plays in the backfield until game script & Josh Allen can build a lead and make them pass. Lamar & Henry are so dangerous on the read option that our aggression works against us. If you add a spy that's one less person getting pressure or in coverage and if you sell out to stop the run Lamar is good enough to beat you in the air. There are multiple things that made it worse: -Lamar & Henry rested and motivated -Ojenjobi and Hoecht suspended -Our rookie D-line players needing time to develop -Injuries to Hairston and Tre pushing a 6th round rookie (Strong) into the role Those things could get better over the season but we don't know yet

You really think Williams is a goner by year 3 as a starter? -

Yes. Whenever I click a link someone posts here to another fan forum for another team, I always regret it. Are there any other good ones out there for other NFL teams, or is this the only one?

From who? The guy that runs his website (him) LOL. McD took the classy road in doing that follow up meeting with him last year. Because coach is class. Other than that. There's not a real front office that'd give him any access (which is where his Bills beef was born out of). So having no sources inside a front office, hes limited to sources grapes guys out of the league... who also get to hide behind anonymity, while clearly having something to gain by doing so (trying to clear up their reputation- again - anonymously). -

I'd be interested to know your opinion on this TD run: Looks like someone totally misplayed their responsibility here. Rapp immediately puts his back to the play side anticipating a crosser, which takes him out of the play. Bernard is penetrating upfield and gets taken out of the play. Looks like Benford is going to play edge contain while Dorian Williams already has the edge. It's not immediately obvious to me who screwed up here but clearly someone was supposed to take that truck-sized gap that any RB in the league could have coasted through. The coaches need to get this stuff straightened out, and fast. The Jets are going to see this on tape and lick their chops. This is not a play where our guys got beat 1v1 and I suspect this sort of mistake was the bigger issue on Sunday than everybody losing their matchups. -
I look forward to some All 22 analysis, but just watching the game you can see the big issue was execution, particularly with our back seven, particularly by Dorian Williams. He continues to play undisciplined instead of sticking to his fits. Ton of athletic ability, but he tends to overrun plays and bites on fakes too easily.
