Eagles Cardinals, Ravens, Bucs, Bills, Lions I thought Pittsburgh at first but I think Myles Garrett will impose his will on ancient Aaron. Then I thought Denver over the Jests but I'll avoid overseas games like the plague.

If you’re looking at Weeks 1-4, I’d agree. Although there were times the offense was stagnant for stretches, in the end they put up 30+ with few turnovers But last Sunday the offense was a big reason why the lost. We’ll see what happened next Monday

At times it sounds like a cop-out type of slogan. Like we don't have a legit #1 WR downfield so let's call it "everyone eats" so all the receivers buy in and Allen isn't pressure to throw the ball to anyone specifically. I mean let's be real, "everyone eats" does not apply to the RB room. James Cook eats 5-star meals every week in the running and passing game but the other RB's go starving,,,, because they don't produce!

Not passing the eye test? I don’t know, you could say that about just about every team this season. To your point, I think the problem isn’t that they don’t have a true WR1 - it’s that the overall talent at WR isn’t higher. Shakir is a nice slot WR - I’d say he’s toward of the middle of the league. But the rest - Coleman, Samuel, and Palmer are likely WR3’s and WR4’s on most teams. The other problem is that there’s not a lot of versatility and too much redundancy in skill sets. Shakir is easily their best slot WR but he doesn’t play outside much. Samuel and Moore are almost identical in their skill sets. Keon is the 50/50 guy and could be utilized better in the slot, but because of the duplicate skill sets he always plays outside where he fails to separate and get down the field. the you have Palmer who also plays exclusively on the outside. He can separate but isn’t the burner that stretches the field. All in all I don’t have a problem with the mentality. In fact, I think a lot of Josh’s INTs in the past came from balls forced to Gabe Davis and Diggs. I like the idea of unselfish play at WR but I think they failed to raise the talent level

Dont paint me into a corner here. I see the whole picture. I do enjoy all 22 break downs. Football can be real complex and at the same very easy. I do understand how complex it is. I’d argue going frame for frame is also taking the complexity out of it though. The speed adds to the complexity. Those millisecond decision each player makes are the difference in good and bad plays. It all goes together. My point the game played out in the only style Ne was capable of winning. I dont think this is the game to dive into and find the “reason for the loss” I think it was quite obvious. Its this added to almost every other thread here. Sky is falling, nothing is working mentality. When no, Buffalo had its first multiple turnover game in over a seasons worth of games. It was bound to happen rather now than later. Sucks it was vs the Patriots. Tape, stats, eye balls all say Buffalo was the better team imo. Buffalo opened the door for NE to be competitive. Maye went above the scheme for Ne to get the victory.

That is illogical. With finishes in the standings at 13-4, 11-6, 13-3 etc. it is obvious the Bills have shaken off last week's loss multiple times a season.

All 22 Review: Bills vs Patriots

Maybe by the depth chart but Samuel played outside this past weekend as well. He was literally running the same motions and routes Moore was running in Jets game. -
I'm beginning to think that there is a possibility of McD's message that is getting stale but NO ONE here can dispute that he is a good coach given his over all record and what he has done for this franchise period . If there is anyone here that can say they have not enjoyed what this team has been since he has gotten here they are a liar !! That being said I think Beane is a very good GM and if a change at HC was made he should stay ! Not exactly sure what or how much input the HC has in the draft process but Beane has and can maneuver the draft very well and has brought some very good players here and he can keep the cap in a very good place . I really hope that some things can happen this season and McD can bring a championship here to quiet all the haters because I think he has taken a lot more of the heat for failures or should I say short comings under him and he has always been the guy that will take that upon himself which is another thing I like about him ! But in that reply which you reply's to I was being a wise guy . If there is 1 coach that I thought the Bills would've, should have, could have, brought in for a change Vrabel would have been that guy but I honestly don't think anyone other than maybe Kyle Shanahan would be a good change for this team & don;t know enough about other up & coming assistants to say they could do better than McD ... Who would you give props to ???

Did you watch the first half against the Patriots? The defense held them to six points with several short fields. If the offense figured itself out they could have been well ahead. Their last two losses the offense had the ball with the chance to score at the end of the game and couldn’t.

It's the beginning of the season still. It's certainly not the first time 4-6 teams look to have a shot to win it all by Week 5. The question is, which of these 4-6 teams will be healthy in another 5 weeks from now, among other things. Trust me, a lot of these teams might come back down to earth by that point, and the Pats could very well be one of them. I would tend not to include the Bills, because we have shown year after year that we are still among the top teams in the league by December/January. My concern for this team is the same as it has always been unfortunately: We (still) do not have a playoff caliber defense. And we are probably the weakest defense in that group of 4-6 teams you mentioned. THAT is a problem. It always has been. It's the reason we NEED to have a first round bye to have any legitimate shot at the SB imo AND it's the reason this loss to the Pats was a lot bigger than "just 1 loss". The swing from potentially have a 3 game lead in the division to a 0.5 game in the division, while the Pats arguably have the easiest remaining schedule in the NFL, is massive.

McDaniel on very thin ice with Dolphins owner
thenorthremembers replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
The article is likely directly from Ross and is a CYA. Like an idiot he signed McDaniel to an extension a year ago through 2028, so he is eventually going to have to pay McDaniel for the next three seasons not to coach if he fires him. The article allows Ross to try and be in some middle ground between his failing team and the fans who buy tickets. If McDaniel somehow turns it around Ross can decry the article as nonsense. Its cowardly and does nothing positive for the organization. If you think you may fire him just do it. I am no McDaniel fan, but what Ross is doing is an insult to the time and energy McDaniel has put in. -
I think it's an OK philosophy in the sense that the offense isn't being hamstrung by any one particular star player- the Patriots operated like that for most of their dynasty sans the Randy Moss years. Sure they had certain mainstays, like Gronk, Welker, Edelman, etc. But for the most part they rode whoever the "hot hand" was in a certain game. I think that's what the Bills are missing- Kincaid was carving the Pats up, so why not keep feeding him? If the guy whose finding the sweet spot is Shakir, then feed Shakir. If it's Cook, then feed Cook. Once you've unlocked the guy who's having success, you can stop trying to spread the ball around until they stop it. If their defense adjusts, THEN you spread the ball around again. Once McDaniels and Maye figured out that Diggs wasn't going to be stopped all game, they fed him to the tune of his biggest game in over two years. It's really that simple.
-
i can't believe how Diggs did so well in the game against us. i am sure he won't fair the same outcome the rest of the season. the guy plays with a good chip and will be non existent in many games. but with good coaching you could get that same output week to week because coaching is about being able to get the most of your players while capitulating to their needs. diggs needs the ball and his ego stroked. it's not easy to do that for everyone but it can be done with many.

All 22 Review: Bills vs Patriots
chris heff replied to thenorthremembers's topic in The Stadium Wall
Moore can play slot or outside. Samuel is slot and Shavers is outside. -
I find the focus on the offense to be truly bizarre. It's been historically good. If we fall short this year it will be because of the defense, again.
-
The whole “everybody eats” approach might sound like balance, but it’s really the football version of saying you’ve got two starting quarterbacks. It's a diplomatic way of admitting you don’t have one true game-changer. I don’t want to hear it anymore. When the commentators talked about it on Sunday night like it was a good thing, I completely lost it. Either the organization is lying to itself, or they think we as a fan base are clueless. Consider this my therapeutic vent, a realization that the front office is failing this roster and its fans. Like the Eagles, this team could easily be 3-2, 2-3. They just don't pass the eye test. On the bright side, no one team looks unbeatable this year. I’d say maybe 4–6 teams have a real shot to win it all. So, why not the Bills!?!?
-
Nope. It's because Tuberville met with trump's sons and others on Jan 5 including Navarro at the trump international hotel. Or that trump watched the riot unfold for 4 hours before calling for the scum to leave. Or that the entire episode was premised on the big lie which was pushed by so many of his congressional serfs.. Or that at least one R member of congress provided "tours" of the capitol on Jan 5 to rioters.
-
I think snap counts on offense isn't particularly important in the way you're making it out to be. Kincaid probably should have had more targets in the game. Does that mean he needed to be on the field more? Or does that mean that when he was on the field they should called more plays where he was "the guy" or at least the 2nd look?

McDaniel on very thin ice with Dolphins owner
Captain Hindsight replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think both were probably better at their jobs then they showed here. Whaley had an eye for talent, just very poor idea of how to construct a roster (and missed badly on a QB) Rex was here to be a star and didn't put in enough effort. They were rightly fired in the results-based business -

Agreed with all of this except the last line. Everyone should already know exactly who and what Tua is, especially those people in the Dolphins building. (hint: he should be thrown out along with Grier and McDaniel) -
Game week thread - Bills at Falcons MNF
DrDawkinstein replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've heard this so many times week over week going back to at least 2022. Never happens. We have never come off a bad performance and showed out the next week. Expect the same 1st half sleep walking, and then everyone (coaches included) hoping Josh pulls off a miracle to get us a win. -
At least we will be wearing Buffalo Bills helmets, and the “white” won’t be a version of the Lions uniforms after a laundry accident.
