Game week thread - Ravens at Bills SNF
FranchiseSavior replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Im not upset at all. The context surrounding those turnovers actually matter. The ints was a wrong route ran by the wr. The fumble was the result of a bad snap by the center causing linemen to be down field on a called screen. Does Lamar have to hold on to the ball in that situation? Absolutely. I tell other Ravens this all the time. If we have an issue with Lamar turning the ball over in thay situation than we can't be patting him on the back when he makes a jaw dripping play trying to make something out of nothing. In those scenarios you take the bad with the good. If we want him to go down want him to go down every time thise situations happen. We can't wait to see the outcome and then say well he should have just went down. -
Price the team pays for having #17 in his prime earning years.

If a player only has one good game every 40, it’s understandable that people are not excited and might roll their eyes. If the league thought highly of him, he would have signed a one-year "prove-it" deal and spent the entire offseason rehabilitating at a team’s facility. His performance in Jacksonville was really poor, truly terrible. -

Lamar doesn't have the strength to make that throw with defenders on him. He's bird bones. No strength in his game. He can evade and make plays be he can't shrug of defenders like that Big Ben he's just not strong enough, which is what was required on that throw. I think we can measure accuracy with circumstances right? Lamar's inaccurate 3 yard pass with no pressure vs Allens 30 yard pass with two defenders hanging on his body. Logic has left you long ago. But really, this is all that ever needs to be said about this conversation Lamar has 13 TD and 11 turnovers in the playoffs Josh has 32 TD's and 6 turnovers in the playoffs -
Week 1, Nevermores v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
Billl replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ravens 31 Bills 22 Buffalo was +3 in the turnover margin in the playoff game and squeaked out a win after Andrews dropped a gimme 2 pt conversion at the end. During the regular season, the turnover margin was even, and Baltimore won 35-10. Bills will need to be +2 to win, IMO. Last season, they were historically good at +24 during the regular season and +4 in the postseason. I expect that to move substantially towards the mean this season. -
A top 5 roster in the NFL. A deeply uneducated and incorrect statement. It is clear you do not know anything about NFL rosters.

Just to be clear I keep seeing you say if andrews didn't fumble...You are completely distorting what actually happened there. It wasn't a random fumble, it was an outstanding defensive play by bernard and the term is FORCED FUMBLE. It was a takeaway not a turnover. That is why the bills won this game...They created takewaways and the bills did not make those mistakes. Second, you keep talking about how Buffalo can not slow down Lamar Jackson, well A. The guy is incredible and most teams do not but B. you keep conveniently leaving out that he really did not play that well until rapp and benford were out, that is when your passing offense kicked into gear. Just like the first game when the bills had a number of big injuries. Why you feel the need to be on a Bills board lecturing us about how great the Ravens are and how lucky the Bills were again seems a lot like you trying to convince yourself. I guess there is also the realization that Ravens fans are extremely onboxious and arrogant just like their local media so maybe you are just being that guy.

Checking in on Culture-Building in Miami...
SoTier replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I disagree. It's not the city/market culture that creates the kind of team culture that produces winning teams. A winning team starts with the ownership who sets the entire atmosphere because he hires the GM who usually but not always hires the HC. The HC is the guy who is probably the most influential in turning a collection of guys, from superstars to practice squad players, into a team. The Rams, Eagles, Niners, and Bucs are all regularly successful teams located in large metros. -

sportsurge has all of them, but I actually pay for my streams now because I can get every sporting event in the world, and I like Australian Rules football and snooker. Trying to figure out Cricket too, but it's pretty confusing. -
This is hardly new. How many people did Obama dronestrike? According to the Bureau of Investigative Journalism, a total of 563 strikes, largely by drones, targeted Pakistan, Somalia, and Yemen, killing between 2,581 and 4,013 people, including 384 to 807 civilians. The Council on Foreign Relations reports 542 drone strikes, with an estimated 3,797 total deaths, including 324 civilians. The Obama administration's official figures, released in 2016, claim 473 strikes in non-war zones killed between 2,372 and 2,581 combatants and 64 to 116 civilians, though these numbers are criticized as undercounts by human rights groups.

💯 They just use that as an easy excuse to do what they were going to do anyway, but would have to find a harder excuse for if it didn't exist. -
You are just delightful, please do enjoy your unfounded anger with the Buffalo Bills, lol…,

Not that this is by any means the gospel on the issue, but...a quick AI answer to the question "does piracy drive up streaming costs?" It's far from the certainty that you make it out to be.

From AI---Robert Kraft did not set the price for Sunday Ticket but testified that the NFL wanted to keep the service a "premium offering" rather than a widely accessible, lower-priced product, as evidenced by the rejected ESPN proposal for a much cheaper package. Seems pretty clear the owners dont want a cheaper package. -

I'm sure 5 others will come to take it's place and fill the void. Think this was a coincidence in timing? Doubt it. -

Guess you forgot about the Colts game where he made multiple long toe tap catches on the sidelines in critical situations? We really have short memories here I guess. -

when we had Emmanuel Sanders Gabe was a real good #3 receiver for the Bills. -
The deadline to be fully cap compliant as opposed to top 51 cap compliant was yesterday at 4pm. Prior to Tuesday at 4pm prior to the opening kickoff you only have to be under the cap accounting for the top 51 roster spots cap hits and the dead cap/void years. But yesterday at 4pm you have to account for the PS, injured reserve, and the last two roster spots. I Would imagine that the Bills probably needed this move to absorb the PS and last two roster spots plus have an emergency in season fund.
