  2. Of the winning teams you listed I pick these and added one of my own: 2012 Ravens - Above average team with a QB who gets hot and the best pieces of that team hit it hot at the right time 2011 Giants - D-line comes together at seasons end and destroys QBs while QB drives the offense 1997 Broncos - HOF QB with great running game and enough at WR to go with an opportunistic defense. 2010 Packers (My pick) - HOF QB goes nuts come post season with a solid enough roster doing its part. I think the Packers WRs corp was sizably better, but with Kincaid healthy it closes the gap. Cook is a far better RB though then James Stark. Biggest difference is that defense was pretty good, the Bills defense would need to catch up there. Few teams that might be similar but lost the Superbowl? 1999 Titans- Great QB & RB average WR corp. The defense though was super stout which makes the comparison tougher. 1996 Patriots- Offense was dynamic, defense was average so I get the comparison. The coaching staff was lightyears ahead of ours 1992 Buffalo Bills- Probably the worst of the four SB teams but I can see the comparison. 1996-97-89 Denver broncos- HOF QB drags an average roster to SBs ... yea sounds similar lol
  3. I hope lamar kicks hayward right in his big sloppy beergut so we can watch Cam cry again in a press conference
  4. First regular season game at the stadium vs the Jets. 53 years later the last regular season game at the stadium vs the Jets. Other memories at the stadium that aren't Bills related. I have seen the Dead there a few times as well.
  5. It was Gabe before that. "Why does gabe play more than sanders and brown?" was frequently a point of contention and it was blocking back then.
  6. Baltimore are favorites to win the AFC North and playing the Ravens in the first round is certainly not a dream scenario.
  7. As for the Jets game, we have tickets but the schedule says "TBD". Is there a chance the game could be on that Saturday, instead of Sunday. Or is the TBD about the game time on Sunday only? TIA
  8. 5 or 6 tournament seed works for me. I would rather be away at a warm weather/dome site to let the offense cook. going to Denver or Pats round 1 would probably not be good. Although, if the roster is healthy again and they don't turn it over, not sure who beats us. JA17 is our super power; if the roster around him is healthy come tournament time, watch out.
  9. Hopefully without the dumb penalties
  10. Could be 5 or 6. Gotta be positive!
  11. Let's go Chiefs, scary that I'm saying that but oh well. I've always hated the Texans especially after the ESPN playoff game against Watt and the men in black refs. ESPN hates the Bills.
  12. They had the worst special teams in nfl history im pretty sure haha there were so many close games where they gave up a punt return td or had a fg blocked etc
  13. I only made it once unfortunately. It was against the Patriots during the drought years, so you know how that went. My favorite memory of that game was the 1st official dilldo toss
  14. Shula did with two back in the early 70's but do agree with your point overall.
  15. Between the Jaguars, Colts and Texans I think Houston wins that division mainly because of their defense. It's going to be fun to see who wins the AFCS being it's a very close race.
  16. Thanks for posting. I had the opportunity to golf with him at an event and after hearing some of the horror stories of his younger days I wasn't quite sure what to expect. To my delight he was awesome in his character and it was one of the best times I had at these events.
  17. Bad poll. Loaded, biased question and option construction. Pass.
  18. Flacco low key went off though sometimes and their defense was still terrible to be fair they scored 30+ a handful of times with flacco to the point where people started to murmur burrow maybe was overrated 😂
  19. Too many to list, but here's a few: First regular season game vs. Jets, 1973 OT win vs. Rams, 1980 Roland Hooks game vs. Pats, 1981 AFCCG vs. Raiders AFCCG vs. Chiefs
  20. everyone is worried about the Patriots and talking about how great they are. Sun tzu said it best. worry about yourself first. the patriots are gonna be slapped around next year when reality sets in, the new wears off, and the #1 division schedule rears its head.
  21. The biggest issue is we don't have the tie-breaker against Houston. If we are tied with Houston on W/L record, they will be the higher seed. Secondly, it is also possible that the AFC South will beat each other up and their records will be no different than the AFC north winner and hence it will be a toss up between them for the #3 and #4 seed. There are too many meaningful games to make a call on us being the 4th seed or us playing the AFC North. The only thing that seems to be locked right now is that the Patriots and the Broncos could be #1 and #2. The other problem is that we unlikely win on the road in Baltimore. It is a super tough place to play. I would rather have the shot to play the Jones led Colts or the Prince led Jaguars.
  22. Should probably add Montana and Bradshaw to that list, though they are kind of "old school" era. But agree with you overall.
  23. All of the times that my dad would stop and we would watch the stadium being built. I remember seeing a big hole in the ground and wondering how is this going to be a stadium?
  24. In the immortal words of Gust Avrakotos, “we’ll see”.
