  2. Yes and No Obviously there is a greed element that is not only from ownership but from the league itself in a large way. However the present stadium is definitely showing some signs of age in its structural design. The upper levels are not only not connected in any manner while needing continuous reinforcement for safety concerns. There are a serious lack of elevators which isn't something you can remedy easily. And the lower bowl has stairs that could kill a man with how extremely high they are in some places. Lastly, there are no employee-only routes for quick and efficient stadium crossing for medical emergencies or other potential situations. The present stadium footprint was not conducive to many of these issues in terms of a retrofit. You couldn't widen the concession area because it was at least 20ft underground and would need to be borderline torn down just to rebuild. Connecting the Upper Decks wasn't feasible from the Club end and on the scoreboard side would of required a massive construction effort . (Every game at least 10 groups/individuals as employees how to get to the 300 level seats only to be on the wrong side, I've worked a few games and know a couple others who have done the same.) Lastly the NFL isn't exactly fond of retrofits; not a big enough of a profitable escapade.
  3. I mean the best thing for a rookie QB isn't weapons usually, its a run game, and an OL keeping them upright and confident. If they're worried about protection it won't matter much who you're throwing to. They used their last 2 first rounders, and then 2 free agents this year so they clearly want to address it - but this was a brutally bad unit a year ago and cushenberry is coming off an achilles. Bill Callahan's a good OL coach though so if they're smart they're going to go pretty gung-ho on running the ball and keeping Ward out of trouble. They're an interesting team though - #2 in defensive yards allowed, 30th in points allowed - turnovers were a killer for this team (they lost 52-14 to the lions and gave up 225 total yards). I tend to think teams do come in with conservative game plans against teams like this (the jets with wilson for example). Like the only way were going to lose to them is if we turn it over so lets just not turn it over. Their offense was that bad.
  4. Why shouldn’t people be allowed to protest? Randy Fine is supporting the “Thump Thump Bill.” What does Rochester have to do with this?
  5. Doesn't seem like anything has been too serious, tho. Plus they're gonna be super cautious whenever a player even mildly aggravates something. "Coach, I stepped on a Lego!" "Shut 'em down for the day!"
  6. Fwiw, Bloomberg News is reporting the CTE part of the story. However they also mention long time mental illness of the shooter
  7. What a player. I tried to copy his batting stance growing up. I played against Bruce Sutters kid in High School. I went to their house once and the one thing I will never forget is he had a 8 foot grizzly bear stuffed in his living room. Bruce was a big game hunter.
  8. I think for his sake him being "on retainer" for a mid October signing is probably what's best for him at this point. Gives him 6-8 weeks to heal up and get himself 100% right and then he can ramp up his conditioning in late September early October and then do a few extra weeks on a PS before being active if needed later in November? It wouldn't be the worst "Plan C" to have if the team gets hit with injuries and needs some depth. What's likely hurting Gabe is that his not only injured but also he doesn't play special teams which is what teams want from their last 1-2 WR spots.
  9. man, our training staff is amazing!
  10. Ahhh the Trump told people to drink bleach hoax! Hey nedboi, why not just go all in and say Trump told everyone to drink bleach in support of all the very fine Nazis? 😂
  11. Isn’t he still kind of injured? I kind of wonder if he’ll be an in-season add for a team that wants to add a vet WR due to injuries on the roster or bubble guys not panning out.
  12. They can out of a pigs bladder or in Deion's case out of part of his small intestine... I was told this is what they'd do for me if it ever came back
  13. Great, we will have to find someone else to rag on! New here?
  14. I think I’d be tempted to bring him back. Samuel refuses to show that he can stay healthy. As it stands, Palmer is the only pure outside WR. Coleman will play primarily out there, but ideally you’d like to be able to utilize him as a power slot as well. Shakir is mainly a pure slot. Moore can play inside/outside. Gabe would slide in as another pure outside guy. Question is, would Gabe want to come here and be on the depth chart behind Palmer, Shakir and Coleman, fighting with Moore for snaps. And also, I’m pretty sure this staff wants Samuel to be a thing through hell or high water.
  15. An extension for McGovern could most likely would lower his cap hit for this upcoming season. Cook could be very similar where his cap will either go down slightly or stay the same with an extension. The issue will be for the 2026 cap how the Cook and McGovern extensions work in. AJE and Jones are on expiring contracts there's not much cap space to be gained from cutting either. AJE simply can't be cut as he won't save cap space. Jones could yield some savings but it would be fairly marginal as he has a high dead cap hit. The Bills will likely have to do some restructuring to get under the cap enough and I suspect that a McGovern extension lowering his cap hit will be a part of that.
  16. A sad day for all of Baseball.
  17. Ohh cool a training camp thread mainly about bashing other posters.
  18. Re: Injuries.. Not sure what to think about our training staff, but our facilities do seem to be elite, based on player reviews and what I’ve heard about them. I think a lot of what we’ve dealt with may be chalked up to the kind of defense we run and the players we bring in. Undersized DT’s with undersized LB’s, playing base Nickel.. In the past, this has put a lot of physical strain on the spine of our defense.. not coincidentally where we’ve broken down late season. On offense, our injuries are Kincaid, Brown and Samuel. A finesse TE, a physical freak RT with a history of back injuries and a player we brought in knowing his biggest issue is staying healthy. Sometimes it’s also just personnel.
