The Bills beat the Pats* because of you... (superstition/karma reasons)

How did your actions yesterday help the Bills win?  Something you ate?  Did you change your shirt at halftime?  Kick that annoying friend/relative out of the house? Try to show someone all the new Bills stuff you've bought to keep them from calling you a team swapping wh0re?  I’ll start…

 

No Bills gear worn as usual, and playing on my phone for most of it, except for that one punt in the second half, when I actually started watching the game, so I went back to playing games on the phone.  I had also took a nap during the 1st half, so I'm sorry about the poor playing during that time. 

 

Some other things, Saturday, heading to a relative's house for a pre-Christmas dinner, passed by a bison farm in the middle of nowhere, taking roads I have never been down before. Had to been easily 30 or more in the field. I took that as a good sign. Also, Sunday morning, shopping at Walmart and Target, saw a lot of people with Bills gear, on so I made a point to say "Go Bills" to everyone I noticed. One guy though needs to have his fan card revoked. His response was not "Go Bills" as you would expect, but "that's right."

At the half, I took the dog on an hour long hike. When I walked in we were scoring to take the lead. Of course, the next play was their long run for a TD so I was tempted to go back out again. I typically take the dog out on a walk during big games at crucial times like the Ravens and Chiefs. While I was out I was imagining the score would be like 34-10 when I got back so it was a nice surprise.

I was (a) wearing my favorite Bills hoodie with the Zubaz trim whilst (b) periodically rage quitting the game and hung up more outside Christmas lights…I believe ultimately it was my not watching the game during certain critical plays of the comeback that sealed the win!!!! 🏆

Bills win because McD called D in second half  God please fire Bobby Batxxxx. ALSO, I wore my trusted white KIncade jersey for the last three games wins without washing it.

Two big halftime adjustments:

 

1) no TBD second half GDT.

 

2) In the second half, I left the room for every defensive 3rd and 4th down. My son had to tell me what happened after the fact.

Was at a family gathering, it was pretty crowded around the TV and no one was paying a lot of attention to the little Grandkids so I romped with them and barely watched the game. I like hanging out with those on my level more anyways.

I had to record the game yesterday........i spent the afternoon shoveling 3 feet of snow off the roof and only fell off twice.

 

It was a good day.

Dogs may have some kind of special gridiron juju.  All season long, I've ignored my husky during football games.  But against Cinci, I made her sit with me for the 4th quarter and look what happened!

Well as I said in the post game thread was at the mountain doing ski patrol, and got home at 2pm so 2 minutes of the game and went out and chopped fire wood.

I'd say a mental factor was, maybe the Pats take the division this year, but it was hard to see Allen letting them take it by literally beating them this game.

My daughter is home for college break and sat in my usual spot. At halftime she got up and I quickly took my spot back. She came back mid-way through 3rd qtr and wanted the spot back... I said no f-ing way.

My dog knows the word walk and goes bananas when I say it like all other dogs seem to, but I feel like now when I say "Bills game", he is also now thinking  he is going on a long walk.

I had a minor medical procedure last Thursday and wasn’t able to booze up.

I was on the phone with my parents midway through the second quarter and went on a rant excoriating everyone and everything associated with the Bills and this season that I could. I'm sure I was quite insufferable. The end of the half TD and the second half results were all but guaranteed at that point.

 

For context, when I lived in the Buffalo area a friend that I used to go to Sabres games with pointed out to me that when I went off on a player to start a game they typically had a good game. I believe we were at a Tux and Pucks New Years game when Zhitnick, who had been playing horribly, had a give away and I just went off. He finished the game with 2 goals and an assist, I think, and notably he didn't put a puck in any of his teammates ear holes when they were standing in front of the net. My friend then proceeded to provide a list of other examples when that was the case.

 

So, you can thank my parents for taking one for the team... I'm sure it wasn't a pleasant addition to their game watching experience.
