newcam2012 Posted 50 minutes ago Posted 50 minutes ago Just listened to Greg Cossell in the Colin Cowherd show. He was asked about what he thought about the Bills. I think this guy really knows his football. Here's what he basically said. Not a great listen as a Bills fan. They aren't one of the most talented teams in the league, they aren't that good overall from a talent perspective, they lack play makers on both sides of the ball, very poor WR core and Kalir is more of a WR3, , have to scheme up offense, and rely on Josh being Superman which is hard to be sustainable and win like that. I know it's just one guys opinion but this guy really knows his football. Doesn't mean the Bills can't win it all. Nevertheless, this was pretty eye opening and deflating. What do you think? 1 4 1 Quote

Pete Posted 48 minutes ago Posted 48 minutes ago I agree 100% with Greg. The man knows football, and speaks the truth 4 Quote
Mikie2times Posted 47 minutes ago Posted 47 minutes ago All true, but I would lean back on who really stands that clearly above us in the AFC? The worst we will get is a 50/50 game. This isn't close to the best iteration of this team. But the competitive landscape is just different this year. 7 Quote
gjv Posted 45 minutes ago Posted 45 minutes ago Not a good commentary on Beane's roster building, coming from a reputable NFL football player evaluator. 3 Quote
uninja Posted 42 minutes ago Posted 42 minutes ago He's not wrong, the roster has issues. Multiple WRs FA and draft picks not really panning out, had to retool the WR room midseason due to poor play/injuries. Defense has its warts and has also been marred due to injury. That being said I can't say I see any team being just completely head and shoulders above most other teams right now with maybe the Rams being the exception. All the contending AFC teams have very obvious and visible flaws. 1 Quote
Success Posted 41 minutes ago Posted 41 minutes ago He ain't wrong. But there is still a winning formula for teams like ours. We don't have JAGs - just average talent and no real "playmakers" outside of Allen, Cook and maybe Kincaid if we're being generous. But it's just about playing sound, complementary football. Our offense still in the league's top 3. The team is basically the same talent-wise that came within a dropped pass or proper 4th & 1 spot of making it to the Super Bowl last year. 2 Quote
T.E. Posted 41 minutes ago Posted 41 minutes ago (edited) He is probably the most objective analyst out there. It's all going to come down to this question in the playoffs: Will the coaching by and large just stay out of Allen's way and let him do his thing, or are they going to do that thing where they overthink every decision and become obsessed with trying to control every outcome of the game? ClemsonBills Posted 40 minutes ago Posted 40 minutes ago One of the few guys left who knows his stuff. Doesn't surprise me, we all see it. Not the greatest endorsement of this teams office/coaching. 1 Quote
