They will get another chance. Only half a game back. Cleveland this week and then Green Bay at home for the division lead.

Which is why playoff seeding scenarios at week 13 are just a waste of time. The seeds are not going to end the way they are now. There is still 4 more games.

I watched that game. It was a hard fought and a fun watch. The ending not so much for Bears fans. The rematch will be a must watch.

They’ve got a meatgrinder closing schedule…gotta win one of packers 49ers lions and im not sure they’re going to 

 

I think they are another ‘hot start playing an easy schedule’ team but they might do just enough to get in

The Bills have had similarly deflating one game swings in the standing.  There have been multiple.  For instance, the 1998 team with Flutie Magic seemed to have the division and a bye lined up for them with 2 games left.   The Bills hosted the Jets in a de facto AFC East championship game.   They lost a close game and fell to 3rd place in the division.

That Jets game is what made me not jump on the Flutie hype train.

Theyre fine, and Bears fans are fine. This is still a HUGE step forward for that team. Given it's year 1 with Johnson, they'll have the patience to come back next year if things dont work out. But having a legit coach, and seeing what he's done for Caleb's development is enough to get them through to next year. A playoff appearance would be amazing, but not the end of the world if they miss.

 

Even the loss yesterday, it wasnt a blow out, it wasnt a roll over and die game, it was a well and heard fought battle with an established division rival. Easier to take.

They should get in because they have Cleveland at home this week. Would be a big upset if Cleveland beat Chicago on the road.

Still can’t get over the fact that the Packers lucked into 3 top QBs in a row. Don Makowski was no slouch either pre-Favre. Those fans are lucky. Have the Packers ever had any kind of drought longer than 5 years
