It's been mentioned quite a bit in the bitter thread about Darius Slay.

But what's another thread about the same thing?

You're right. Redundancy to redundancy is the Beane model for building a team. (You have to do that when you favor old guys and draft injury prone young fellas.)

Small ball Bean.

It was reported in Pittsburgh that Slay wanted to be a starter and asked to be released.  Was Bean unaware of what was in the freaking papers here!

This actually pisses me off. Didnt realize we released Ingram to make room for Slay. Ingram has been great depth and a good spot starter and is still young. Beane’s a moron. Can’t wait until this regime is gone just a complete 💩 show

I’m not happy either, but that’s not because Ingram is anything but a roster filling JAG. He’s had his chances and has done pretty much nothing with them

When exactly was the last time Ingram played? Come on people, it’s not like we lost Hairston.

He’s a good corner in his prime. Better than most teams 4th/5th guy. That’s why he was picked up by the number one defense in the league. Sloppy move by Beane but what do I know. It’s not fantasy football 🙄

Yeah but the Bills defensive system is so complex it takes a new player 2 years to learn it.  They gave Ingram away for nothing. At least he could step in, in a pinch.

And think about this - The Texans must have valued Ingram over Slay, because they didn’t put a claim in for Slay but did for Ingram.  Our assessment was obviously the other way around, apparently overlooking the risk that Slay wouldn’t want to play here.

I didn't think think there was a risk, you'd think the guy wouldn't mind going to a team thats pry going to the playoffs

Let’s see who is right. The team with the best defense in the league or the team who can’t defend a paper bag in the playoffs…and to top it off I just saw the stats of the Dallas game and that WR Flournoy taken in like the 6th round of the extremely deep 2024 draft for WRs goes off. Beane is an absolute Joke with evaluating talent.

Why has Ingram been on the roster then?

I reject this premise.
