 What's even crazier is that I believe that they were paying like five/six QBs at one time this season.

Joe Flacco
Dillon Gabriel
Kenny Pickett
Shedeur Sanders
Deshaun Watson

Bailey Zappe too?

Just think, in the 2018 NFL draft, Cleveland not only passed on Josh Allen with the first overall pick. They also had a second shot with the number four pick. Baker Mayfield #1 and Denzel Ward #4. Thank you, Cleveland Clowns...the factory of sadness!

Imagine had Cleveland drafted Saquon #1 overall and Josh #4 overall.

The Bills are supposedly in the Super Bowl mix from the AFC and we're supposed to be scared of Deshaun Watson in what could be a must win game?  Dude might be terrible.  He hasn't played in a long time and he wasn't looking very good last time anyone saw him play.

I mean, like all things pertaining to the Browns, I'm hoping the OP was meant as schadenfreude and not a serious concern... 🤷‍♂️

🤔... Saquon would be tearing it up in Houston and Allen would be revitalizing his career in Tampa?

Turn on you sarcasm detector up.

He's one of the best CBs in football in case you missed it.

And, Miles Garrett is one of the best pass rushers in the NFL, and both play for a 3-9 team with no top QB...

Now consider that the Cleveland defense is currently 14th in points allowed. Then their top receiver is Harold Fannin?

It sounded like you were dissing Denzel Ward.

I have no idea what your other comments are about, sorry.

The good thing for the Browns is that they know Deshaun is a finisher. Always gets a job done until completion

No, it's cool. Just dissing the Browns and their stupidity in thankfully not drafting Josh Allen 2x.

There was word that they really liked him at the #1 overall until someone made mention of Allen's sort of racial tweets when he was in high school....Brandon!

The what if in that scenario is pretty wild.

I think they end up with Baker still or Darnold. Supposedly the Giants were Barkley, then Allen. I think it would have gone like this

Barkley

Allen

Darnold

Mayfield

That would’ve been sick. Cleveland would’ve already had a SB with a competent coach

It's Cleveland, they would have messed it up somehow.

Just think, Cleveland has had 42 QBs since 1999, and several of them first overall.

The Cleveland Browns gave up three first-round picks (2022, 2023, and 2024), a third-round pick in 2023, and a fourth-round pick in 2022 and 2024 to acquire Deshaun Watson from the Houston Texans. Additionally, they signed Watson to a fully guaranteed five-year contract worth $230 million.

It was hilarious when the browns got rid of Baker for Watson because they wanted a " grown up"

Unreal hubris/ bizarre evaluation

I can only imagine the feelings of Browns fans watching Baker providing 3 years of competent QB play for a winning football team in Tampa

My only question is: Would they be more or less salty than Jets fans watching two different former Jets first-round QB providing 4 years of competent QB play for a winning football team in Seattle?

For me, I always saw baker as a legitimate franchise QB.

He almost won rookie of the year. He then had a sophomore slump. In year 3 he was excellent. He then got hurt and the browns completely lost their mind.

Baker always reminded me of Kelly honestly. he was who I really wanted in the draft back in 2018

Darnold is a good QB but I don't think he's as good as Baker

Take that automatic win off of your calendar.

They just need to take out the garbage this guy has been nothing but an anchor around the neck of this team since he signed that ridiculous contract !!

I think the Browns would have made the Super Bowl, and maybe won a Lombardi, if they had kept Baker.   Their defense has certainly been good enough to win a championship, especially with the talent they could have added with the draft capital that they wasted on Watson.

I don't want to argue either, but if I recall there was really no consensus on who the #1 QB was that year. I do think Rosen was hyped up as "most NFL ready" though, oops.
