Lionel Hutz Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Bills could fall to 9th in the AFC with a loss to Pit next week and only ahead of the Chiefs based on head-to-head. That loss to the Texans was huge and based on the results today It is gonna be tough to make the playoffs. 1 2 Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago This week was really bad for the Bills and the playoffs. I wonder what the change was in playoff percentage before this week and after? Quote
buffblue Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Just a disastrous week for the Bills. Not a single game went their way. Lose against Pittsburgh and we are in deep, deep trouble Quote
Low Positive Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I thought it was a given, but it becomes dicey if they lose in Pittsburgh next week. If they beat the Steelers and Bengals, they should make it. But if they lose next week, the AFC South is likely to get three teams in. Crazy year. BTW, if McDermott doesn't get fired for not making the playoffs in a season with no Josh Allen injury, then he's going to coach in Buffalo until he's 80. Quote
VaMilBill Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago To be honest. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Colts flounder and end up the 4th seed. Then see Baltimore as the 3rd seed. I’d almost prefer being the 7th seed cause that would give us Denver (most likely) followed by patriots then afc championship. that would be a relatively “easy” path to the championship game. That obviously depends on if our offense can actually perform week-to-week. Or if we even make the playoffs because we have a tough schedule the rest of the way 1 minute ago, Low Positive said: I thought it was a given, but it becomes dicey if they lose in Pittsburgh next week. I wonder what the change was in playoff percentage before this week and after? It was 87 percent (albeit after the loss to Houston) to 82 percent now. That is a significant hit in one afternoon of football. The NYT model has us back up at 92 percent with a win against Pittsburgh but down to 64 with a loss. Next week is close to a must win - we would likely drop to 9th with a loss 1 Quote
Murdox Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago The Jags victory today was painful, and, as others have mentioned, we have to beat the Steelers at home next week. And the Steelers also need a victory badly. It's not going to be easy with the way our team has been playing. I'm not even sure if 4-2 the rest of the way will get us to the playoffs, but we at least need to do that to have a chance. Quote

AFC East champs is quite a long shot now. We are 3-4 on our last 7. The playoffs are not guaranteed if we keep playing inconsistent and going win-loss-win-loss So public poll, do we make the playoffs or end up on the outside looking in Well my other Tampa, Bills fan other than me, it depends on the Steelers, Pats, and Eagles. I’m not overly worried about the others although I can also see us falling apart. Brady is way too predictable and we can’t buy separation from our WRs. Quote

Why would you want Denver? Their defense is on par with the Texans especially when Surtain comes back. 2 Quote

This is what I was just wondering. It likely will be good enough, but we may need to go 4-2 to ensure we get in. We already have a worse AFC record than all but Kansas City Quote

We need a W in the worst way, especially given our struggles on the road Quote

All the teams fighting for a playoff spot play each other. Texans: Colts(x2), Chiefs, Chargers Pitt: Ravens(x2), Bills Chiefs: Texans, Colts, Broncos Quote
Murdox Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago There is some good news. I checked the schedule and the Colts still have to play the Jags and Texans twice, as well as the 49ers and Seahawks. That's a tough schedule, but also evidence those teams will be beating each other up. Hard to see all three teams making the playoffs in the AFC South. Quote
DapperCam Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago The doomers are strong in this thread. The Bills just have to go 3-3 to make the playoffs. There is a small chance that if one of the losses is Pittsburgh then they miss due to tie breakers, but I don’t think it’s likely. If we can’t go 3-3 the rest of the way we don’t deserve to get in anyway. Quote
