benderbender Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Tim Settle was the insult to injury. Couldn’t tie his shoes with us, but is Reggie White when he’s got real DL talent around him. 4 1 1 Quote

But Mahomes has that burning desire.. that mental fury inside him. It says a lot that we are all “whoaaaa” when Allen yells “What are we doing!?” to Trubisky after another Brady disasterclass. That shouldn’t be so rare given where we are right now. Mahomes has multiple Super Bowls and still is maniacally driven to get back. I’ll acknowledge it’s probably tougher when you feel you’re swimming upstream against the current that is Beane/McDermott compared to Reid/Veach. Yeah, Tom Brady had the A-hole I demand better like Mahomes. He yelled at McDaniels on the sideline. He'd probably take a swing at Joe Brady. Now there's a headline "Brady KO's Brady". Quote

I dont care that Terry spent 400 mill of his billions this offseason for bonuses, its a tax deduction for him. I feel we the fans care much more. Of course we care more. To the players, the BIlls are the company that cuts their massive paychecks. They get paid, win or lose. To the owner, it's a massively appreciating asset that his children will be able to sell for billions. To many of us on this message board, it's our final tie to the place we're from and a team that we've been rooting for since childhood. My father's final words to me were "Go Bills!" That's how deep this is for me, and why I'm so upset this morning. Quote

If the culture is gone, what is left? The culture really wasn’t great for championship football. It’s too happy go lucky let’s all be friends. For a feel good story it’s great. Not really the best for let’s dominate our opponent and hammer them into the ground. 1 Quote
RkFast Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) I know you could scoff at this sort of stuff, but seeing Dawkins yuck it up with members of the Houston defense literally two seconds after he gave up a penalty that basically cost any chance of winning the game was just completely galling to me. Then in the post game interview all of a sudden he gets sullen, which you could tell is a complete act, and he’s talking about it’s a “game of inches.“ Other words…completely absolving himself of any responsibility. I understand he’s a team leader and he’s been here for a long time and all that. I also understand that this is their job and they’re all friends with all the different players. Of course you walk over to the other team shake hands say good game and maybe talk about the family and what not. But to see him cracking up and telling jokes and acting the way he did was just completely out of line from somebody in his position as far as I’m concerned. But that was completely unacceptable from a team with Super Bowl aspirations and his attitude is really becoming an issue. Edited 1 hour ago by RkFast 5 1 Quote
US Egg Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Too much friendship on the team? Too kind to the opponent post game? That’s precious. Bring back the “Bickerin’ Bills”. 🤪 Quote

Allen is desperately trying to make something happen and Dawkins decides to give up halfway through the play. that one looked so weird live im guessing he hit a strange angle/position that created an instant of being unable to engage well but it looks terrible. I had not noticed it as a trend Quote
Blank Stare Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago No players on this team seem to have the temperament to get in someone’s ass and hold them accountable. True player driven leadership. The one guy we had that would do that was deemed a problem and was shipped out when the boat was rocked a bit too much (Diggs). Bunch of betas on this team from the top down. 1 1 Quote
LabattBlue Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Dawkins and the tub of goo around his waist is going to cause him to hit the brick wall sooner rather than later. Maybe you can get away with that body type as an OG, but certainly not as a LT…as you age. Edited 1 hour ago by LabattBlue 1 Quote

TheBrownBear Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I think we are mentally soft and frankly, organizationally, from top to bottom, just completely burned out by the seemingly endless close playoff losses at the hands of the Chiefs. You could see it in McDermott and Allen's demeanor and approach to the season during training camp/Hard Knocks - you could feel an organization with zero urgency or intensity. The emotional well is all tapped out and dry with these guys. Crazy as it sounds, I think we might be best served by collapsing a bit here and missing the playoffs entirely - hopefully, leads to a come to Jesus moment. 1 Quote

But his act last night, between him bailing on plays and then his demeanor after the game, wouldnt fly in a 13u travel baseball league. If my boy strikes out three times, then cadillacs a throw to the plate to blow the game for good and then twenty seconds after that, hes yucking it up with the opposite team while they celebrate winning the weekend tournament guess what's next? Im getting a email from the coach a week later telling me that his spot on the team next year is gone. Guy's a pro and a team leader. Act like it. Edited 54 minutes ago by RkFast 1 Quote

I don't want to back into a division title. Go out early. And get an even tougher schedule than next year will already be. All the while Pegula thinks things are fine. Short-term pain for long-term gain hopefully. 1 Quote
Utah John Posted 58 minutes ago Posted 58 minutes ago Playing like that he belongs on the Ravens. All happy when winning but when challenged they collapse. That's how they've been for years. The Bills of previous years used to take a loss or even a bad play and bear down to get better. Last night and against the Dolphins, they quit. 1 Quote
BigAl2526 Posted 58 minutes ago Posted 58 minutes ago Buffalo has plenty of time before the next game. I imagine that one day between now and November 30, McDermott is going to have his team sit down for an extensive film watching session of the Houston game. Maybe it will be done by position group and I suspect Dawkins and others are going to get to watch themselves quitting on plays, and in Dawkins' case getting his QB dumped on the turf. I think the position coaches will try and make guilty players feel every bit of that guilt. 1 Quote

Brady refuses to change from his overwhelming five man protection scheme love, even when Allen is getting killed. Falcons beat him up. Dolphins beat him up. Texans almost buried him six feet deep. Eric Wood told a story about how Marrone wouldn’t give help against JJ Watt because he said he won’t change his entire gameplan for one person. Thats literally what Brady is doing out there this year. 1 1 Quote
