35 net yards, they couldn't do a darn thing in the second half.  They were never more than a TD ahead, it's absurd to think that they felt oh-so-confident with that small of a lead.

Confident enough that their was no reason to take a risk.

Do you think they would not have gone for and got the 4th and 2 in the 4th qtr if they needed to?  They punted because they knew they had control of the game and could just pin the bills offense down inside the 20.

They also had multiple drops from wide open wr'.

Is it possible at this point in the season that this would be feasible?

Brady is outmatched seemingly every week despite have the NFL's most prolific scoring quarterback of all time.

Not very likely unless they knock themselves out of playoff contention all together.

Obviously there was a chance they could have converted, but again 35 net yards.  They did an extremely poor job moving the ball against our defense in the second half.  So no, I don't think they would have been super successful even if they had needed to be more aggressive.

At this point I would rather they wait until the season is over. Less chance of some other lame duck getting promoted on the team and staying on next year just because he got some wins toward the end of the season. More chance they actually look for a real coordinator this time.

The defense (despite the draft picks and FA signings) has been awful pretty much all year, save the games against Fields and Dalton.  Slow, soft and small.

In three of our losses they gave up 23, 23, and 24. Those should be automatic wins. Even the Dolphins game where they gave up 30 while intercepting Tua twice was more on the offense turning the ball over 3 times and being otherwise inept.

McBeane has been making hires for 7+ years and in all that time the only legitimate NFL coordinator they've hired was a 60 year old milquetoast Leslie Frazier.

In 7 freaking years.

What on Earth would make anybody think these guys are going to bring a dynamic coordinator in here on either side of the ball?

You think the defense is top third in the NFL, middle third, or bottom third?

23 is the average score of an NFL game lol, how is that an automatic win

And I would give you an F in evaluating the quarterback.

There were Texans fans sitting around us, commenting how there was literally nothing Allen could do.

And they’re right.

there was no one getting separation, and the past rush was on him relentlessly.

I said it before and I’ll say it again. There is no quarterback in NFL history who would have played better tonight.

Many of you saying these ridiculous things will be eating your words once you see the ALL 22. I watched it live.

Allen was marginal tonite.  The receivers aren’t good.  The playcalling is always shaky and predictable.   But Josh wasn’t playing well either.  In all 4 losses he was not close to being at the top of his game.

He looked uncomfortable and not overly confident.  We aren’t winning when he is playing like this.  However, the roster isn’t anywhere near good enough to compete for a Super Bowl.  That’s in Beane.  The coaching is marginal and gives us no Advantages.  I would fire Brady.  His play calling cost us the AFCCG last year.  And is only getting worse.

His game plan for 95% of today’s game was pure awful.

What he reverted to on the final 2 drives was significantly better and exploited what Houston wasn’t covering (the flats and quick hitters).

However, to give him some credit, these receivers are BRUTAL. I was at the game and watching absolutely NO ONE get open while Allen is running for his life was a very tough watch.

I was at the game too. I’ve been to most of the games since Josh has been quarterback, here in Houston and McDermott always loses them in the last five minutes. He refuses to blitz till the end. He was letting Mills complete passes with that stupid soft zone.

What was wrong with that Brady why are they not leaving some running backs back there to block for Josh? He was getting killed.

Not automatic, but holding a team to 23 or fewer results in a win ~75% of the time on average, league-wide.  We should be able to hit well above that rate.

That totally went over your head.

It didn't, Tua has thrown his team under the bus and where's it got him? As I get it you want Josh to RIP the team a new hole in hopes Pegula makes changes. I stead of being the soldier he is and place the blame on himself.

After the first couple of drives when it was clear Houston would be getting pressure on most of the drop backs, I'm not entirely sure why there wasn't a RB kept in to pass protect on basically every play. These are the sort of adjustments you need to do in game. Is it because Cook can't pass protect?
