His ceiling is at least as high as Cooper DeJean, who many here were slobbering over throughout that draft season.

come on--you would swap him out for DeJean right now??

This guy has incredible instincts and  a film room junkie.

If he can stay healthy he should be one of the very best in the game today. Cole  Bishop is already near the top.

So you're saying his ceiling is John Stallworth?

That’s not what I said.   But the answer is, quite possibly.

You implied it clearly.

That's wild.

Wild that I would take Bishop over a slot corner with zero regular season interceptions in his career?  If you say so…

He has missed much time in his 1st 2 seasons, but he's clearly starting to get it. He is also an excellent athlete -- RAS was 9.88 out of a possible 10.0.

Assuming that he enjoys relatively good health, how good will he be 2-5 seasons from now?

His second half was very good !

To answer the OP question , Better than "We" figured

His diagonal pursuit skills are limitless. His up and down and side to side instincts are pretty much non-existent though.

Is this a chess piece reference lol 😂

He has a chance to be a Pro Bowl level safety IMO. Bishop is really developing. He has the physical skills to be a very good centerfielder

Not every year, but he's going to be named to a few.

Wait hold on, 4 pages in and barely  a mention of how "terrible" he was last year?   You mean thread after thread after thread in the offseason was wrong about him and way too many on here were way too quick to judge?  From what I read on here he was garbage and the Bills needed to use a 1st/early round pick on a safety because they had missed so badly.

So you're telling me that if these guys are given a chance, especially guys who are rookies, that perhaps they might develop into good/great players?!  Hmmmmm, what an interesting concept

i was big on him coming out of college, but ate some crow about it watching him play last year (he flashed a couple times, but many many more times was cheekful).

now i think we are seeing him play more free.  to me he is to the safety position what spencer brown is to the RT position.  not fully formed/skilled but such a monster athlete that if his attitude and temperament are on point he has the potential to be a huge impact at his position.

I’m not anointing him as being great but for a Bishop detractor I am proud to say he looks physical , athletic and locked in and I was premature. My apologies to Cole and does this defense need him in the worst way.
