Just win on Thursday and see how things shake out. The Bills were 6-6 and 3 games behind Miami for the division with 5 games left in 2023. The NFL is a week to week insane variability. The Pats just lost Milton Williams for 4 weeks on IR (high ankle sprain he will be back) who knows how things will shake out.

The Ravens look terrible. They are not the same team without Madibuike.  I think the loss to the Bills broke them.

They were 1-5 at one point and are now 5-5. Maybe it hasn't looked pretty but they have saved their season and now have a shot at the division.

I agree that they have a shot at the division, but they’ve been beating mostly bad teams and not looking good doing it.

We got lucky, gifted by the referees, last time we played Baltimore and that was at home.

This would be the nightmare scenario.

We need Pittsburgh to win that division

Nah, we deserved that game.

To sum it up, the most likely scenario right now is Bills @ Ravens.

That's good.  Because much like when the hurricane is headed to the coast and a week out the bullseye has it hitting a big city....that's when you know it won't hit the city.  It will take a turn a day or two prior.

Whatever the NFL playoff predictions are today, means they will be different come the actual bracket in early January.

Wouldn’t the Bills need the Pats to lose a division game and to the Bills for the Bills to take the division? That is if the Bills could win out. Trying to remember tie breakers and I think division record is one of the early ones.

5 Bills at 4 lowest division ( afc north)

I'd much rather play Baltimore than Denver.

Really? Other than Denver's defense, there is nothing that scares me about their offense at all. They won 13-11 to the Jets and 10-7 against the Raiders. If those 2 teams were anywhere near competent, they lose those games easily

What if the Bills go into the final game vs NYJ, in their nice red helmets with the playoffs clinched.  Winning means they clinch the 5th seed, losing to the Jets means they fall to the 6 or 7 seed (maybe play @Indy or @ New England).  Would you empty the bench and play all the depth guys?  I would.  Meanwhile the Jets will probably be doing the same to earn the highest draft pick possible.

Wrong

Not if the Bills win out. That would leave Buffalo at 14-3 and Pats at 13-4. I don't think the Bills will win out but they will win the division if the Pats drop another game as well as losing to the Bills in the rematch

Why are we so afraid of Baltimore?  They're an aging team that the Bills have always handled when it counted.  Denver took the Bills late into the game in the playoffs last year.

Agreed that a lot may change.

But right now it's more than 15-20%. We are 52% to end up 5th seed and Ravens are 68% to end up 4th. That makes 35% that this actually happens. And I think NYT model is pretty accurate. It is very realistic option.

Is Henry on injury report? Its super logical that hed be washed. Hes ancient for a RB, especially with the physicality he has, and also his speed being such a weapon. The type that losing half a step would majorly hamper his game.

However,  like the old Brady pats,  everytime it looked over, they got up like Michael Meyers.

Fully realize this is more a Bills ptsd post, than it is a valid concern... but id feel better knowing Henry hadnt been making injury report appearances this year.

I would prefer not to meet them in the first game. I’d almost be willing to tank the Week 18 game to drop to the 6th seed and end up against Indy or NE in round 1

We have to run the table which is 14-3, and the Pats have to lose twice, so that means we beat the pats, and the ravens beat the pats then they are 13-4.  Then we are back to AFCE champs again, but if we lose one more then the pats have to lose to the two teams above mentioned, but then the Fins have beat the Pats.

Thats it.  If both are 13-4, and one if the pats losses is the fins, us, and ravens, then we should be the divisionwinner.

It’s amazing how many people here don’t believe that.  Someone was falsely stating that NE had to lose to the Bills and either the Jets or Dolphins for the Bills to win the division. That’s only true if the Bills lose another game (which they probably will)…

I live near baltimore and have gone to every Bills game there.  It's really hard to win in that building.  It's electric, loud and very hostile, and we rarely stop premier Running backs running downhill.  I don't think we beat them twice in one season.   Didn't the Bills beat Denver like 31-7?  It was not close.
