Seems like most of that vaunted WR draft class is overrated. Harrison a possible bust. Odunze onderwhelming. Nabers great but bad career compromising injury. BTJ stunning collapse year two. Worthy - KC faithful see a possible bust, Pearsoll - we’ll give him a pass but not showing much. Polk Corley and Mitchell on second teams already. Burton an embarrassment. Ladd may be the only one of ten performing at least at his draft position.

Maybe not the pinnacle and certainly not infallible.

I have long held the adage that if the fans are debating if you are good or if you suck after long enough, you probably suck.

Nobody debates if Josh or Shakir or Cook sucks. Or guys like Rousseau or Oliver. We may debate if they are worth their contract or how “good” they are, but not if they are actually good or suck.

But guys like Elam, Ford, EJ, Tyrod, etc etc and now Keon, we are debating if they are good or if they suck. And I’ve seen this play out too many times to completely discount that, despite it not being infallible.

lol, maybe the "after long enough" disclaimer makes that somewhat true.

Keon has played 22 games.  Might want to check the sentiment on Oliver, Cook, and even Josh at that point.  An of course Kincaid and Bishop were complete busts.

We'll see how it turns out for Keon, but I'm pretty sure fan sentiment is not a leading indicator.

Dumping him now is like trashing your house than listing it on the market without cleaning up the garbage first.

Organizations like the jets and raiders exist. Never underestimate the stupidity of other people

Unless he lights it up consistently its time to cut bait if we can find a trading partner. If not he is at best a 4th WR, but not a full time starter

We gave him 2 full seasons with no consistent growth and very little big body contested catch success.

I'd prefer Keon never see the field for the Bills again, especially at X or Z.   The issue the Bills have is it has to be a trade to recoup any money on his contract.  Even a post June 1st cut will cost them 3 million on the cap for next year.   I've said it in the past.  I am fine with the Bills being patient with young players where talent hasnt translated to on the field success as long as that player is doing everything in their power to be great.   If the talent isnt translating and that player is also a bum off the field, fail fast and cut ties.  It's the difference between someone like Keon and Kaiir Elam.  Elam got the benefit of the doubt because he was working his tail off.

From all accounts Keon is a good kid.    Great.  The Bills arent paying him to be funny and affable.  They are paying him to be a professional wide receiver.    What he fails to understand is that by not being professional he is putting people's jobs in jeopardy.   It's selfish and disrespectful to every person in the organization.    Like Jerry Glanville said, the NFL stands for Not For Long.

Coach JB can be a giant moron, but he also has some pretty common sense takes.   This is one of them.  NSFW because of language.

He obviously can’t be traded. Haha. What team would want that?

What if the Chiefs offered a 6th or 7th round pick for him. Would that make you nervous about what might come to be down the road?

Did anyone want to get rid of Bishop at any point in time? It’s not time to do a deal now, so I’ll wait and see what happens before making any premature decisions.

No trading to the Chiefs or Pats. Ship him to the NFC for Dairy Queen punch card.

If he becomes a star in his next step, I hope it’s a Wyatt Teller situation. I know Teller is in the AFC, but he went somewhere that would never be real competition. If Coleman becomes a good player I hope that he does it in a Saints jersey or something like that.

It is different to Bishop. The issue with Cole was never talent. It was mental. It was waiting for the light to come on. It finally has. With Keon I don't see the talent. Maybe if they didn't have an established answer that they'd paid in the slot already I'd be saying move Keon inside and try him there before you give up him. But they do. I'm not taking Shakir off the field to try and rescue Keon's career. The reason Keon can't play outside receiver in the NFL is he doesn't have the skillset to do it.

My question is what does Coleman give you that Shavers doesn't at this point? They are essentially the same player with almost exactly the same measurables(Shavers is a little faster) but Shavers can create separation and get open and can get deep.

I don't want to overreact to one game with Shavers, but I think he looks better outside.

And Coleman definitely isn't better than Davis when he is right, and he looked pretty good overall. Plus Josh trusts him and he is great on scramble drills with him.

Coleman often looks lost in the sauce on those running around aimlessly.

What I like about Shavers is effort.  The guy is always working. Coleman not so much. I really wanted to give the man the benefit of the doubt but I’m kind of done with him.  Let’s see what we can salvage on the trade market.
