Are you suggesting that Allen vetted Coleman and not the Bills scouts? And for the record once the decision was made to stay in their original draft spot and they looked at the likely WR's available there Coleman was attractive. He had many of the attributes that the Bills WR room lacked. And if they wanted to make Allen really happy I suspect offering to trade their 2025 #1 pick to move into the top 15 and grab one of the lottery WR's would have gone a lot further then Coleman. Not saying the scouts didn’t vet Coleman. More saying the scouts may have ranked a few guys as early second rounders. And then considered Josh’s opinions before deciding Keon would be the pick. 1 Quote

4th&long Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Another great pick by BB. This franchise is pathetic. Quote

But that's a far cry from Allen wanting Coleman or that he exerted pressure to draft him. Quote
Slack_in_MA Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Put me in the camp that 1) he was drafted too high and 2) he's being asked to do something that isn't his strength. I don't think he's a bad player. I think the expectations of him are too high based on his draft position and I think he's being misused. Edited 2 hours ago by Slack_in_MA 1 Quote

He isn’t for long in this league. 2 hours ago, TheyCallMeAndy said: So I saw a highlight from yesterday, Allen completed a quick out to someone for a short gain. I remember watching Coleman and wondering if it's normal for a nonplay-side WR to just jog through a route. I wish I could remember the details, it was a "team highlight" but his effort stood out. Ive seen this very thing on multiple occasions this year. Sit his ass Quote

Well some wanted Worthy or Legette, Coleman has more yards this year than both of them. Let's not pretend the other ones they could have picked are some kind of stars. McConkey was also never in play because they already had Shakir in the slot, so that's not really a valid argument. Edited 1 hour ago by Big Turk Quote

It's just when you combine everything, the effort, the lack of a connection with Allen, the struggles in this offense, it just makes sense for everyone to get a fresh start. We'll trade him for a sixth round pick or something in the off-season. Coleman will probably want it, and so will the bills. I don’t think we can fetch a turd for him 😂 Quote
Matt_In_NH Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Did he earn the right to have the most wr snaps? Quote
Best Williams Available Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago 2 hours ago, TheyCallMeAndy said: Honestly I don't think he will. Brady told the commentators pre game he wants to force things to Coleman more. This was the game plan yesterday you could tell. Either to cover up their ineptitude (not getting a WR in draft ir trade deadline) or their miscalculation that the Fins DBs would get eaten alive be the Coleman they think they have. It’s why the first 3 possessions were nil. Once they realized he can’t be the answer they started moving the ball better. Quote
WideNine Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago 2 hours ago, Low Positive said: Diggs did that a lot. You could tell if he knew he wasn't getting the ball because he wouldn't run his route. Folks forget that now that he is "Mr. Team player" in NE with things going well for that team. The talent was there, and in fairness there were times he played pretty banged up, but his on-field antics were not the things you look for from a leader. Quote

A lot more things they could have done that day than these two guys. They move up and down the draft board all the time. And worthy is head and shoulders better than Coleman. 1 Quote

Governor Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago This is why I never listen to manufactured garbage in the offseason. All we heard was how he was a totally different guy and it’s going to be a breakout season, and now they look like total idiots. They could’ve just said “I dunno, we’ll see how it goes with him.” 1 1 Quote

An MVP qb, no real WR competition or pressure around him, and the entire city looking for him to step up. What more could you ask for to get some effort? Send him to the Saints and he can play with whoever their QB is Quote
