BillMafia716ix Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago (edited) I don’t see a dominant team anywhere in the NFL this year. Every team has their flaws. Even if we had to go on the road in the playoffs, I think we could beat anyone. Offense is in a rut right now but I have faith they’ll figure it out. Edited 11 hours ago by BillMafia716ix 1 Quote

Next two games: 0-2......After scoring 30+ points in the first 4 games, the Offense scores a total of 34 points in these two games, with "curious" play-calling and mind-numbing turnovers.....the Defense looks like a hot mess, especially in the Falcons game, and big questions loom over the team going into the Bye Week. Next two games: 2-0......The Offense looks dominant in putting up 40 points vs the Panthers, then Josh looks like MVP Josh for the first time this season vs the Chiefs.....The Defense seemed to turn the corner in these two games forcing turnovers vs the Panthers and generating the most pressure a Bills team ever put on Mahomes vs the Chiefs. This game: Both the Offense and Defense revert back to the way they played in the two losses earlier in the season, showing the exact same problems and flaws that occurred in those games. So, which of these teams are the real Bills?? The dominant one we have seen in the six wins, or the hapless one we have seen in the three losses?? I leave you with one last question: The pictorial was funny, but agreed on the bipolar comment. Quote

The announcers are practically laughing at how bad they are at getting open on a weekly basis. This isn't to say the coaching helps. But I don't think there's any amount of "creativity" that's going to make Keon Coleman, Curtis Samuel, Elijah Moore, and Tyrell Shavers get open when they simply can't create separation against even single man coverage. I get this. But is the receiver room that much worse than last year when the O consistently lit it up. Remember the Lions and Rams games. What did we have last year that was so much better than this year? I really want to understand. Quote

I also think they used Shakir a little more in the middle of the field. 1 Quote

Stafford has to be the favorite to win the MVP this year. Quote
stuvian Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago How confident is this team? Enough to take a few games off. Remember the Giants first Superbowl victory over the Patriots they went 9-7. No one cares about those seven losses now. If we lose to the Patriots again I will worry. Losing to the Dolphins tells me we mailed it in by design. Quote

Hollins played every week and for all of his limitations he caught the balls Thrown to him and he brought an energy to the offense. He was great in the running game. Big Turk Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Welcome to the "odd" years where we struggle to win 11 games and things look hard. Next year we will be back to winning 13 again. Have alternated 13 and 11 wins for 5 years now. Quote
frostbitmic Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Yesterday ... Yesterday McDaniel and his coaching staff outperformed McDermott and his staff. Yesterday Tua outperformed Josh Yesterday Achaine outperformed Cook Yesterday Waddle outperformed our entire WR room Yesterday the 2-7 Dolphins showed up to play, the 6-2 Bills did not. For the third time this season the team showed up lifeless at the opening kickoff and remained lifeless all game ... Why is that happening with regularity ? 1 Quote

It's possible the players are starting to tune McDermott out. After 9 years and not getting to the big game despite having 17 as your QB I could understand if the team is starting to feel that way. Many Bills fans(myself included) seem ready to move on from this FO. It feels like this team is getting worse not better and a change may very well be needed. 1 1 Quote
Mat68 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Bi polar? I see it more as a systemic conflict of schematic philosophy. It’s the opposite of how they operated under Daboll. Mcdermott wanted a balanced attack. He implored Daboll to run the ball at every post game press conference. Now Brady is running the ball at a percentage that is highest in the league. Mcdermott now implores Brady to pass more and get that going. Both offense by every metric is successful. This season the Bills offense is worst when they have an obvious pass gameplan. Feels like Mcdermott strive for balance at times forces the play calling away the offenses strength. I think an honest question can be made if the Bills are burning a prime season. Obviously, if he gets hot in the Playoffs and they win it all who cares. Im under the train of thought that an elite run game paired with Allen is the key for success in the playoffs. My concern is does Josh feel that way. He is chasing explosive passes out of shotgun. The offense is best right now under center. The spread game-plan to attack the outside coverage of Miami didnt work. I think they tried to attack them the wrong way. Stick with run looks and packages and attack out of those. My confusion is the repeated moving away from the run game Atl and Miami. Both games felt like they wanted to prove they are something they are not. Is it Allen, Brady or Mcdermott or a combination of all three. Quote

Doesn’t matter if they need to win 3 road playoff games now because of these losses. It’s by design. They’re just that good. Btw…that ‘07 Giants team was not their ‘first Super Bowl’. Wide right. Remember? They even won one before that game. 4 hours ago, BillMafia716ix said: I don’t see a dominant team anywhere in the NFL this year. Every team has their flaws. Now try to do that 3 times in a row on the road in the playoffs with those odds. Yeah I wouldn’t be planning parade routes in that scenario. Quote
CirclnWagons Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago When the strongest armed QB in the league is throwing 80% of his passes for 5 yds or less, it ain’t Bi polar, it’s full on psychosis. Mix in some crazy TE jet sweeps that average a net loss and the bubble screen that we are the only NFL team to not be able to execute and it’s a wonder Joe Brady is still allowed in the state of NY. Add a defense with the guys that wax the floor at the facility starting on the interior line and I’d go ahead and start planning that tropical vacation for the second week in January Quote
extrahammer Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) If we're going to keep playing games like this, at least let Ray Davis kick more field goals so we get SOME entertainment. In all seriousness I do appreciate these threads, being able to properly vent, and read a collective group of thoughts, because yesterday was frustrating as hell because of how many questions it left me with. I thought Elijah Moore was a speed threat? He runs a 4.3, why aren't we using him as our #1 WR? If Keon can't get open, why are we continuing to use him as our #1? Why are we suddenly making dumb short yardage play-calls, like the tush-push, when it doesn't work as well as it used to? As reliable and pivotal as Mack Hollins was in our offense last year, why didn't we just make sure he stayed with us? Why isn't Beane just owning he hasn't delivered a Diggs replacement? Even with all of that, Josh still looks off. Turning over the ball this much without the greatness we've come to expect? Because WR's aren't getting open? No, this all seems like something else. This team's rhythm doesn't feel anything like it has the past several years. I see some folks telling people to calm down and I see some folks already wanting to clean house, I don't know but it doesn't sound too crazy when you realize we have to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in less than 6 days! I'm not a fan of Diggs, but he brought that as well.....the Bills need an "emotional leader" on both sides of the ball for sure. Quote

Or lose to anyone. So much is how motivated they are. They treated that Chiefs game like a Super Bowl. They went all out, and played great, and got all of our hopes up. But the NFL is about showing up every week like that. They don't. They expected to show up today and to have Miami just hand the game to them. That's what really bothers me. They had no heart today at all. They seem as tired as I do as a fan. Well said. We have made some questionable moves that has led to us not having as much top end talent. But it is a very mid AFC and very open for the taking. I just worry our flaws that hold us back (lack of receiving talent, defense, coaching) will show up again in the playoffs. Quote
