I think the ones they made were all long yardage and of course the 4th and 17, but you're correct...overall, the defense played Mahomes well tonight especially considering the Chiefs have been on fire for the last few weeks.

Gotta give Mahomes some credit. He's tougher than I thought. Cus he took a beating today from the Bills defense, but kept getting up. Those were probably some of the hardest hits he's taken in his career today.

Chiefs have had the massive advantage of a weak division and a first round bye for how many seasons previously?

 

They are in major trouble and will not be anywhere near as healthy or rested when and if they make the playoffs

I was shocked at the lack of roughing calls. There were definitely a few borderline hits

Chiefs schedule is def front loaded if I’m really gonna entertain this point haha it’s hard to imagine them winning less than 5 of their last 8 and it will probably be more 

 

they’d win that jags game 9 times out of 10 which is skewin things a bit this early in the season 

 

chiefs were 5th in DVOA and 1st in elo rating if those advanced stats float your boat haha DVOA likes them significantly more than it likes the eagles.

Ok. You're all right. We just beat what will be a 7 win Chiefs team. I can't wait until we finally beat a quality opponent

Not last year it's their 4 game average against us in the playoffs. Their last 5 regular season games they have averaged like 20.5 PPG

Some would call it a curse.  It basically comes down to guys putting on their playoff pants, stepping up and making plays.

Unfortunately, the guys making the plays have been on the other side.

they do have some issues up front on their line and reid's refusal to bother even entertaining the idea of running the ball can put them in situations like today where mahomes is getting hit all the time.  Washington did it monday and buffalo did it all day today.

 

Denver, houston, indy and LA can get in mahomes face and give him a hard time.  

 

As it stands right now do I think they are going to miss the playoffs, no, I still think they will win the west but if Mahomes keeps getting hit like this they may end up with 6 or 7 losses.  Denver is going to give them a hard time even though they lost surtain.

Yeah, that hit made me happy.  Mahomes like to run toward the sideline and then when defenders pull up to avoid hitting him late, he'll stop and make a throw (like he did here) or even run forward for an extra yard or two.  Liked to see him get punished for F'ing around.

Yes, but this was still a quality win against a quality opponent but other people seem to think otherwise

I mean we just demolished the Panthers last week who went on the road and beat everyone's darlings, the Packers and held them to 13, which they struggled to get as they had 6 until late in the 4th quarter

TBF, our division has been pretty trash too, so you can make the same argument with the Bills.

McD all but called Landon Jackson by name in the presser saying even players who are not playing now have to be ready when asked about Hoecht's injury... I think few teams have the luxury of bringing in a young player in with Jackson's upside... And the one thing about Landon is, he's got a motor and he's not slow... Hopefully he's picked up some good stuff from Hoecht because the Bills want to rush a DE and mix it up on the inside on obvious passing downs, and I think Landon offers a lot more then Solomon... Just my opinion of course.
