McDaniel is the HC with Miami. McDaniels is the Patriots OC. The former will definitely get an OC position in the league once he is fired. I'd take him here. The latter is highly unlikely to get another HC job and will stay as the Patriots OC long-term. 

 

Priority number one should be getting the GM right. Competent GM's usually hire good HC's. Look around the league, most upper tier QB's have very good to elite HC's. I believe getting rid of Flores was a mistake. Herbert is hindsight. Many had Tua above him. Things looked good for a bit. But they couldn't win a playoff game. 

 

Let the rebuild begin.

Correct and that's why I think he's out today by "mutual agreement" - he was told to start trading away his own key acquisitions and he said, if you're doing that, we might as well part ways now.

I agree with HappyDays... the GM made no trades and then got fired. To me this means that they're now open for business.

I doubt Zac Taylor or his offense is a problem in Cinci.

 

He worked under Bill Callahan, Sean McVay... and their offense has been plenty good when healthy.

Zac Taylor was Goff's QB coach in LA and was in no way qualified to be a HC in the NFL. But he got hired during the "hire anyone who ever got McVey or Shanahan a cup of coffee" phase. And he did lead the Bengals to the Super Bowl and make Mike Brown a lot of extra money, so his job is secure. But Bengals' fans complain about his play design and play-calling a lot. Here's what gets talked about:

• Their offense can often be boiled down to "throw it up for Ja'Marr." Not a bad plan, if you ask me, but sometimes a team schemes him away, and they don't have answers for it.
• Their offense lacks pre-snap motion. 
• Strange play calls that don't take the flow of the game into account. Like on Sunday against the Jets, he called a Perine run on 2-10 on the CIN 44, down one point with 42 seconds left in the game. They did have timeouts, but a team with Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins ran the ball, needing 18 yards to get into range for a long game-winning FG. They wasted a down and a TO. 

Yeah, they score a lot of points and it's obvious that it's the defense that is losing them games. Giving up 39 to the Jets? That's laughable. But when it comes to end of game situations, Zac Taylor's play-calling gets goofy.

The folks currently making decisions for LSU just opened their robe to the world and showed what a mess any new HC will be walking into. 

 

The Gov & Board were supposed to be in the process of hiring a new school President. Instead, they've fired the HC and AD. And now have to hire all 3 major positions.

 

It's a disaster in LA.

Wonder if that was due to being traded from a team that didnt have their bye yet, to another team that did have their bye already. Thus having 18 games. I wonder if it's ever happened where a TNF game if played and then a player is traded to a new team and plays in the same week. And if so I'm wondering if they would count his new points for fantasy 😂
