This is a non-story. The owner is “frustrated” they haven’t won a SB? They aren’t firing him. 
 

Also, that poor owner!! They only have 6 SBs and a winning season every year. Give me a break.

agree...I cant see Pegula firing McD unless we slip from making the playoffs...for say 2 years in a row.

in that case firing and hiring a new coach would mean roster overhaul...Josh may or may not be in for that..press the rebuild button in that case...

Sean McDermott is a better Coach than Mike Tomlin who inherited a great roster from a Hall of Fame coach with a top-notch defensive coordinator

That is the consensus with most Steeler fans. The other side of them are like most of us here… If they can a coach who’s proven to win regardless of circumstances and lead the team to the playoffs, do you take a step backwards. 
 

The big difference is the Steelers have no QB for the future.

I've always admired Tomlin but that Packers game was embarrassing and not just because of the clown unis. Their defense has fallen off the face of the earth. Tomlin's loyalty to Teryl Austin might be his undoing. Luckily for them their division looks like an unlikely cakewalk. This might be the worst roster in Tomlins' career. Outside of Metcalf they have nothing on offense.

yep and they have for ages. My life time steelers fan friend laughs every year about it since I can remember (he knows Tomlin is actually a very good head coach). I'm with Happy Days though on the point that they are like the drought Bills and need to take their medicine and crash out (but not that they need to fire Tomlin). By the way, the steelers fans hated Bill Cowher too.

It's crazy they are growing frustrated even though he keeps winning despite them giving him an actual QB since Rodgers. He's had a winning season with Devlin Hodges, Mason Rudolph, Kenny Pickett, Mitch Trubisky, Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, it's a miracle that he can get to the playoffs with those castoffs.

Mike Tomlin had an elite quarterback and went to two Super Bowls, winning one.   He coached in a third, winning that one.

 

He has three appearances and two victories.

 

Call me in a few years when you want to talk about him and Sean McDermott.   Also, the Pittsburgh fan base is split.   They don’t hate Tomlin.   Those who want to move on have a bar set much higher than our franchise with regard to ongoing expectations.   He helped create and sustain those expectations.

Tomlin seems to have lost his fire-about three years ago.  He wants to win but doesn’t have the drive to do it in PA any longer. He’s a good coach albeit overrated IMO.  A change of venue would be good for him-and I bet he does well for three or four years.

For them to be split even is obseen , and shows just how ignorant fans are across the league
