I might suggest you don't use Coleman as a positive example subject at this juncture .

 But ...

Please expand for bolded 😋

 Big Yep Good Buddy

Well I'm saying him and worthy are both equally disappointments so it's not like one's a better weapon than the other

Well if you're going to play that game I'm pretty sure the bills have three second round picks... And a first round tight end

Xavier worthy wasn't really worthy of a first round pick he's not a thousand yard receiver he's not even a number two right now.. I pretty sure Coleman has a hundred yard game this year and worthy doesn't

Both have done nothing for their draft spot.. the only wide receiver they have that's way better on the outside than what we have is rice.. and you could game plan to not let him beat you

Palmer has more yards than juju and Hollywood the last 3 years

So we have a first round tight end.. 3 second round picks.. 1 third round pick and a fourth round pick

But draft position means nothing once you're in the league .. it's what you're doing

Play that game?  Read the post I responded to before you presume it was my game.

His argument was look at all these second and f*cking 5th round picks Beane has invested at WR.😂

My point is that it costs A LOT of capital to build a good WR room nowadays.

I'm right.

Teams like the Eagles, Vikings and Bengals literally have 2 first rounders each on the boundary.

Those teams don't have a Josh Allen out there for 130 consecutive starts.......but in a Chiefs dominated league they have 3 more SB appearances than the Bills since 2021.

Juju is the 4th WR option on the Chiefs.   Palmer is the Bills #1 option on the boundary.    What are you smoking thinking that's a favorable comparison?

I will be the first to say that draft position means nothing once you're in the league.........but the investment point stands........if you aren't taking regular BIG swings at WR you probably aren't going to be good at WR.   And over the past decade the teams that make the SB's are usually loaded at WR.

It's probably been since Carolina that we've seen a bad WR room reach a SB.   And this is a BAD WR room.   Do you dispute that?

well it is not one that stands out for the right reasons currently.

The TEs are decent or better and Shakir can play football quite well.

But they might as well be passing more to the RBs if they want to expand the playbook.

Not having a 1A limits what you can call

Even if you are Chan and Fitzy.

And honest threat in that skill position can lift the whole offense.

Can we assume Palmer was the latest effort by Beane ?

When is the trade deadline  🤠

I agree with the general sentiment. For example, Kincaid for all intents and purposes is a WR and he was a 1st round investment in the passing offense, but this gets conveniently left out in all these agenda driven discussions about the receiving room.

But with all that said, we do have an actual wide receiver problem and its because we've gotten low returns on our other big investments in Palmer, Samuel, and Keon.

Yahoo sports is stoking the fire with this headline:

“Despite missing a month, Lamar Jackson still has more passing TDs this season than Josh Allen”

Of course the comments have been aplenty. Lamar has 14 passing TDs in 5 games, Allen has 12 in 7.

Exactly.  Spot on as often Gregg.

Kubiak can explain away anything he wants with statically gymnastics, but the reality is we are going to face a fast Worthy, Rice, Juju, and so on.

What does Jos have to counter other than Dalton, Shakir, and Cook.  Stop finding ways for Beane not make a trade, and we’ll fail in the end.

Receivers don't get the ball in a Brady run offense. It might be that simple, then when they need to it looks awkward.

They could use better wr's but not sure what they would do with them. The short passing game looks forced and the long ball is non existent.

Can we also add that basically no team has succeeded in building a great WR room with their strategy of FA WRs.

The Jags were famous FA WR over spenders. They handed out ridiculous contracts for Kirk and Zay and other dudes. Fast forward a few years and they are spending back to back first rounders at WR because those guys weren’t good enough.

It is not “the way” as much as Beane wants to bargain bin shop.

Counterpoint to all the WR haters:

Last season we brought in MVS as a deep threat. He did basically nothing (2/26 in 6 games) and was cut during the season.

After he was cut, he was signed by the saints and put up 17 catches for 385 yards and 4 TDs in 8 games. Cooper (his replacement) over that same time frame had 20 catches for 297 and 2 TDs.

Even Diggs and Davis looked like trash when Brady took over mid season. It is time to start seeing the writing on the wall...it's not just the WR. The real question is, is it even really a problem?  Numbers wise it might be, but scoring wise and record wise I am not convinced it is.

MVS couldn’t catch the ball when he created separation and the ball was thrown his way. After a while the QB loses confidence in his WR

This drives me nuts.  A guy I knew who was an assistant during the super bowl years told a story that Walt Corey would berate the offense for scoring too fast.  Seems like we’re getting back there with our self imposed governor on that side of the ball.  Run. More. Plays.  It drives me nuts.

You would think having a great running game would help the passing game. Defenses load the box to stop the run which opens the pass game for one of the best qb’s in the game. It’s not happening.Josh is not making them pay. It’s a combination of coaching, Josh, and lack of explosive receivers. I think it’s also McD. There are times the defense can’t stop anything and I think he tries to protect his defense by dictating a ball control run first time consuming offense. It limits the possessions and requires limiting penalties and turnovers which the conservative offense can’t overcome. If the Bills limit turnovers and penalties they are in every game. If Josh gets hit they win. The problem is Josh is struggling in this offense and seems to be regressing. Also it is boring and difficult to watch. McDermott and Bean have gone all in on defense and don’t have the cap room to improve the offense. They’ve handcuffed one of the best qb’s into being a game manager and it sucks.

I can’t take anyone who laughed or thumbs downed this post, it’s nothing but fact if if anyone here is going to try to argue anyone on this team outside of Allen and Cook is “Elite”, you drink too much.

Funny, bc if you look at his tenure with elite WRs in College, there was no problem throwing the ball.

What happens if Josh gets hurt?
