I believe so.  That’s what happened with Leonard Floyd, although we did not trade for him.

To trade for Hendrickson they would either need to find 4 million more dollars in cap or extend him.  He will still be owed 8.47 million more after a trade this week.    I'd rather keep Bosa than give Hendrickson an extension.   They are on pace for the same amount of sacks and Bosa is a year younger.

 

Dont blow all the cap space in one place.  Make two impactful moves.

I really don't think it's Hendrickson. That move makes sense if Bosa or Groot go down. We will have 3 rock solid DEs, and still no DTs. Still no one that can stretch the field either.

Yes.  Same with Shaheed. That’s why I don’t think a 3rd rounder is crazy.  A Bills 3rd is like a Saints 4th.  If Shaheed goes to Bills, and has good numbers, he will get offered a big contract by someone.  That will be a comp pick.  A 4th probably, so that can be factored in

I know that he’s been terrible all year and the defense was at its best against Carolina last week. I also know most people with a brain watched last night and saw him being abused. It was the same thing when I said a month ago Tarron Johnson is washed. It was funny then but now so many people are seeing it. Our defense is making changes here and it’s addition by subtraction. As soon as 45 is healthy and Bernard goes to the bench we will be much better off. We’ll see how funny it is then. Although I doubt I’ll hear from you.

All four (not Hendrickson) combined fit under the cap nicely. So moving Samuel and Keon, a few pick swaps and presto a who new receiving room and a safety upgrade. Hoecht injury opens up the roster spot for Fitzpatrick.
