Do you really think Andy/Chiefs are unloading the clip in regular season games? You’re getting their absolute best in the playoffs - max effort, best plays, best everything.

 

Until this year, when the Chiefs started 0-2 and were desperate for wins, Mahomes rarely scrambles in regular season to the degree he does in the playoffs. They routinely mail it in against lesser teams in regular season and do just enough to get by against average to good teams. 

 

Don’t get me wrong, there is clear evidence that the Chiefs take it to another level when the opponent justifies it, even in the regular season. And I think the Chiefs badly want to beat the Bills this week, and will use up some of their best stuff in pursuit of that goal. 

 

But it’s still not the playoffs, where they’ve proven over and over, if they can block you, they will beat you.

I think it's safe to say that Thompson is a starter at this point even with Milano and Bernard fully healthy. One of them will sit and come for 3 LB sets (like Buffalo Joe last week). Or maybe they'll us Williams this way. 

 

Thompson is limited though, so that might change things.

 

Maybe Bernard is just a coverage, 3rd down LB.  

I don't see them keeping Milano out but maybe I'm wrong.

Hey everyone, not sure if this is allowed on here or not but I’m selling my 2 tickets for this weekend. My friend texted and has an extra and I didn’t ask anyone so I had one too. We are going to go in her seats and mine just got listed. They are in the club, undercover/heaters at about the goal line. They’re fantastic seats. Driving around this afternoon and listening to some national sports talk on various channels.  A couple hosts think Drake Maye has surpassed Allen already. I mean cmon please go off against KC this weekend.

Way too many people forget how bad the 2020 AFC championship game was.

After the INT, the Chiefs drove down the field to score, making the game 38-15. 

 

The Bills finally scored another TD with 4:08 left in the 4th quarter. In other words, the Bills went 47 minutes between TDs, and the offense failed to put together a real TD drive until the game was already out of reach. 

 

Allen's performance in the 13 seconds game was a masterclass. The playoff games the last few years were fine but not exactly legendary.

One thing people forget about that game is that our top 4 receivers all had significant injuries, including Diggs w/ an oblique and Beasley w/ a leg fracture.

In my head, we're doing our post "Hail Murray" run.  

 

If you need a reminder, that was an October loss - and we won every game after that until we lost in the playoffs.

 

I can't tell if it's wishful thinking, or some weird faith that this team hasn't shown what they're fully capable of - but this game is important for that inner narrative I have going.  That run was the most fun I've had as a Bills fan. If they get past KC, something similar looks realistic.

Whilst I do see it as a stretch he is certainly on his way to easily being one of the top 10 if not 5 guys come the end of the year. 
 

The difference there is they actually have a defense and a coaching staff putting the offense in the best positions to win a game. 
 

Not to go off the topic of this thread as there is one that appertains to Brady but I do feel he’s not the best. For all the talk of this regime and years prior riding the coattails of Josh and a certain amount of personnel issues in the receiving department, that’s exactly what Joe Brady has done. I think a better OC makes things more efficient in the passing game. New England’s receivers aren’t that much better than the group of guys we have. 
 

We face man around 40% of the time. The majority is still zone. You can scheme guys open against both but find more success doing so against zone. Still, given it’s a 3 to 2 ratio the results should be better.

Where I live, 90% or more of people who watch football think Maye is much better than Allen. The Perfect game is long gone from their memories.
