He doesn't want to throw people under the bus in public.

It's not rocket surgery.

Haha McDermott is not shy throwing people under the bus though. He literally threw Joe Brady under the bus last game against Atlanta and even after the patriots game.

And also, Saying he called plays isn't throwing Babich under the bus. He's just stating a fact

Exactly this. McDermott, right or wrong, has never been one to publicly shame other coaches or players.

The thing about Babich is that by all accounts from players/coaches and those in the know is that Babich is actually an excellent coach. But coaching players and calling a defense are two separate skills. It's ok that he can't call the plays as long as McDermott recognizes that and takes over. It happens a lot in the NFL.

Well this should shut down any doubts that Sean McDermott is crappy

He should be able to trust his coordinators if you don't you should fire them

Obviously Sean McDermott can call a great defense but he has his fingerprints all over this roster so he needs to let his coaches coach

If they can't trust you they're not going to be in the right mind to call a good game

The writing for Babuch is on the wall

Any early names floating around for DC jobs?

Aaron Glenn could be interesting . Detroits d played well, did have some rough games when banged up under him.

I very much like the 'hot coordinator-> failed HC --> Coordinator.

Guy was good at the job your hiring him for, got some valuable experience as HC, go through struggles. Sad about HC, but then get a chance to go back to a more limited/focused role. Usually their first love. Huge morale bump there.

Not in love with Glenn as much as that concept ^^^.

Who else?

There's no imagination. He said after the patriots game the offence was "too cute".

And openly said he talked to Joe Brady about the lack of use of James cook in the 4th quarter against the falcons.

If that's not throwing him under the bus, I'm not sure what is

I'd take him in a heartbeat but I'd be shocked if the Jets let him go after 1 year.

Telling people that you've taken play-calling duties away from him because he's incompetent.

Everyone threw Brady under the bus vs Atlanta for not leaning on Cook like the Falcons did with Robinson. (deservingly so)

Bills passing attack is still lacking, but I do think Brady did a better job playing to Buffalo's strengths vs Panthers

You said he didn't want to throw his coordinator under the bus, right?

Well based on the quotes he gave on Joe Brady that I listed, is that not throwing his offensive coordinator under the bus?

He did so well as a position coach, that most had high hopes for him coming in. Unfortunately our defense has performed poorly during his stint.

Haha it's as clear as day he did, but whatever fits your narrative sir.

Disagreeing with somebody isn't throwing them under the bus.

In real life, did McDermott suggest anything he did personally contributed to either the Falcons or Patriots losses.  He seems to have this very passive agressive way of blaming others.
