Maybe a youth movement will save the day in the secondary if Poyer falters. Bishop, Hancock, Hairston, and Benford. Could happen sooner than we think. Too bad about Strong. 3 Quote

Maybe the pass game isn't as much of a tire fire as everyone is thinking and that was the game plan all along? Apparently, Kincaid had half as many snaps as the rookie. Hmm... oh it was a total smash mouth RB game plan but even at that you should have a bit of a passing game side dish to go with it. Kincaid may have been in part due to him just coming back from injury. Quote

He had a couple of ok 4 1/2 yard runs but he seems incapable of a big run. He looks REALLY slow to me. Like the late-career Anthony “A-Train” Thomas kinda slow. Quote

You're not the only person that's said that but I'm not really seeing it. I think he just looks slow in relation to Cook, but so does almost everybody else. 3 Quote

I think it's a trust issue. Some of these are WRs 2nd and 3rd string. They need reps to build trust from Josh. Historically, Josh isn't afraid to throw to tight windows but he is trying to eliminate bad mistakes which again could be he simply hasn't built up enough trust. That usually comes from more reps but these guys are secondary players. Maybe we begin to see an improvement. Coleman though, he's been getting the reps. You'd think he would be getting the ball more. 6 minutes ago, finn said: I saw Hancock in on a few tackles, too. Maybe a youth movement will save the day in the secondary if Poyer falters. Perhaps he can pass some wisdom on to the youngsters. Hancock is just naturally gifted and will only get better. 1 Quote

It would make almost any back look slow in comparison. To me Ray has looked indecisive in the backfield since camp this year... I don't think he's lost anything. Just looks to me like he's in his head a bit. Not sure though... Last year it seemed to me like Ray was going downhill a lot especially on those gap runs... Not seeing the same plant and go early on this year.. 1 1 Quote

Definitely not his best performance; I'm just glad we didn't need it. The game was reassuring in many areas, in particular the defense, but I do think the team could use a receiver who at least exhibits some A-level skills. It could really help the offense. Quote

Figure out how to stop them or we will be here forever 1 Quote

I think the success of the running game had a lot to do with Dalton's lack of targets They also were load managing his return from injury. This is very frustrating to fans but hopefully over the fullness of a season it will pay off. 4 Quote

CirclnWagons Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Any win in the NFL is a huge win. Run game looked great today. Defense seemed to remember they’re supposed to be tackling the people in the other colored jerseys and it’s good to be back on the W side of the column again. We still however do not have a #1 receiver. We have a defense that can’t stop the run and is mediocre at absolute best in pass coverage. I really hope this is not the excuse McClapper and the Beane need to not do anything before the deadline. Not ready to go back to holding my breath for the wildcard while josh still has good years left Quote
Dan Darragh Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago 2 hours ago, Billz4ever said: Still hoping Beane pulls the trigger on a trade for WR. Cook looks fantastic as usual but receivers still struggling to separate and Josh looks frustrated. Moore is terrible and I doubt he's playing on most other teams. With Palmer out, we really have nothing on the outside. Credit where credit is due - Moore had the block of the day on Shakir's TD. 2 Quote

I like your rankings and thinking. The bills are 4th best in the AFC, possibly the most dangerous 🤷♂️ Quote

colin Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago The big people packages on both sides of the ball showed out today. Shaq and Dorian were solid if not good at lb, the DL were a disgusting batch of yetis and even without Oliver if we get sanders and DQ back it's a problem for opponents. On on the 2 and 3 te packages just embarrass guys out there. Gilliam is a top flight thumper. Allen kinda sucked for him, but the only running back in the NFL who is better than cook is Taylor in Indy, and our overall power package is better. I think mad max and Hancock showed a lot of juice on d (and the boy Hoyt obv). 7 has obviously lost a step, but assuming we can work out the youthful mistakes, a fast and hungry secondary is a big upgrade Lastly, this d looks so so much better without Bernard and rapp. Those two guys have really sucked this season 2 1 Quote
