Well do we know Groot lined up offside? Lol.  They didn't show any replays of like the first 3 Bills penalties.

He was about 18 inches Offside.

What is also not being discussed enough is that three of Josh Allen's worst games over the past few seasons have come against Jeff Ulbrich defenses.

Only 3 times he has had 4+ sacks and 2+ int

If the logic holds true, then we should come out this week sharp, and have a hell of a first half.

Who is confident that this will happen?

Why isn't this being talked about more???

They looked like a team coming off their bye and the Bills defense especially started playing way better in the second half after they adjusted to what I'm sure some wrinkles they were able to add during the bye and two weeks to prepare for the Bills.

Feels like massively important context

Wait til people learn the Patriots will be coming off their bye week when the play us in Foxboro

Yeah, I saw that...I watched the Falcons game at a bar at a networking event without volume (except for me thinking Palmer tore everything on the initial play and then when they stepped out at the half yard line to end the half)... I'm sure they mentioned it on the broadcast, but I didn't hear it obviously

Can't wait for that game.

So tired of the Pats hype already.  I have zero worries about that team sweeping us.  The bye won't make a difference.

🤔… it’s all so clear now. Only a well rested team could make the Bills continually shoot themselves in the foot like that. What an amazing gameplan to take away Cook by having Brady inexplicably limit him to 17 carries despite the fact he was averaging 5+ yds per carry and had 37 yds on 5 rushes the first drive of the second half to propel the Bills to their only points of the half. Getting the Bills to only give him 4 more touches the rest of the game in what was mostly a 1 score game was masterful by the Falcons. And on offense, convincing the Bills that tackling Robinson and covering receivers on 3rd down were against the rules… ~~chef’s kiss~~ offensive strategy masterpiece.

Lotta focus on the defense, which is fine. But without being MORE focused on the offense? The defense is what it is: mediocre. There will be bad games, we know, and there will be really bad games. And a few okay games. The D isn't the most critical branch of the Bills. The offense is. As they go, we go.

-Would be nice if the defense could pick up the offense now and again, but didn't they do that in the 1st half against New England? And didn't they kind of do that in the 2nd half against Atlanta? Neither offense ran away with it, despite some chunky gains and clustered scores. It was the Bills offense that failed more impactfully. In my opinion.

Imo these aren’t excusey enough.

Some of them are in our control and valid reasons to be bad.

You have to get to “there were no defensive difference makers in the draft for us to take” or “Diggs is the reason we don’t have any WR’s”

On the first play we forced and recovered a fumble. Unfortunately, Groot lined up Offside. That set the tone right there.

Does anyone have a screenshot of this Offside?

It was known (at least by me) and of course they looked at what the Pats did to us and learned from it. Them having a bye had zero effect on our tackling, our penalties and our lethargic play.

What the Pats did was watch us give the ball away three times and have I think it was 11 penalties and they still barely beat us.

The Falcons did indeed watch that, because after seeing it, they watched Allen throw two more INTs and the Bills get 8 penalties for 64 yards accepted. Including that turnover they gave us on the first play that got eliminated by a penalty.

This isn't about the Falcons and Pats playing better or us being figured out.

It's about us playing more poorly than usual. Could that continue? Sure. My bet is it doesn't, but we'll see.

It does irk me a bit to see Diggs doing well and Miller having double the sacks of anyone on our defense.......and we are still paying him.

Away game against a decent team coming off a bye and some injuries on the Bills side. I understand the excuses, but the offense looked fundamentally bad (like the need for a boundary WR is glaring) and the defense was horrendous in the first half. I liked that the defense gutted out a stronger second half performance despite being banged up. That's actually a type of moral victory that helps a unit longer term. But I'm very worried that the offense just doesn't have the boundary WR needed to shake up teams defenses.

Overload Blitz on the Right, spy Allen and force him Left. It is the way to frustrate Allen
