Chris Jones should be the asking price any time the Chiefs call Beane looking to make a draft day trade from now on.

I don't disagree. but the ceiling is much higher. His skill set when healthy is exactly what the Bills are missing. 

 

Greenbay thought highly enough of him to give him a 1yr 13mil extension.

I think Green Bay only giving him a 1 year extension speaks volumes. They wanted to give him one more chance to stay healthy. The Packers also keep drafting receivers high every year, they might be on to something there.

 

When Watson came out I thought he'd be really good too, it hasn't worked out. If you traded for him and put him on IR until January I have my doubts he'd be able to finish the season.

Defensively Dane Belton.

Look what he is doing for the Giants. Always around the Ball. Big time tackler, ball hawk, high energy player. Also brings a ton to the special teams.

 

 

Watson isn't getting top 10 WR money as Franchise tag not an option given his inability to stay healthy nor show he close to being an elite player at his position. 

 

Belton hasn't been great per PFF so he might be a tackler but not great in coverage.

When we had Thurman, he was a mismatch in the passing game for the LB's of his day.  Can we draw up some plays where Cook is used in a similar fashion.  Cook has impressed me with his ability to change direction in space, which should give defenses a lot to think about if we use him effectively.

He's missed: 3 games, 8 games, 2 games, 6 games (so far) in his 4 seasons. That almost a 5 game a season average. We already get that from Samuel.

We could trade for Christian Watson today and then he would sprain an ankle on the plane ride here and miss 6 weeks. Would good would that be?

I gave up on this idea fully after the 2025 Draft where the Bills could have Drafted Dont'e Thornton anywhere before #108 overall to come in and do exactly that as a roll player and passed... I just do not think they are interested in adding that element to this Offense.

I mean that was bad- but his effort on their multiple championship runs has been pretty good, no?
