dave mcbride Posted 17 hours ago Author Posted 17 hours ago Just reiterating what others have said: despite the 40 points, the Bills’ outside receivers today were TERRIBLE. They cannot count on Andy Dalton continuing to play Santa Claus going forward. 1 2 1 1 Quote
VW82 Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago After the last few weeks, I'm starting to think it's not all on the receivers. Josh isn't always seeing them when they do get open, and when he does he's not accurate. 1 1 1 Quote

I’m not going to say Josh hasn’t missed a few here and there, but it’s hard for him to trust any WR not named Shakir to do much. Keon had a great week 1 and has been quiet ever since. Palmer could get separation sometimes, but after that it’s luck and gadget plays that seem to make use of the other WRs. im not saying give up on Coleman, and we obviously are set at Slot, but we need someone who can stretch the field again. We also need another safety, but that’s a convo for another thread (my 2 cents: send a 4th to AZ for Baker). I like Shaheed, and obviously BTJ if that’s a serious option: A 2nd and a 5th to Jacksonville or A 3rd and a 6th to NO Yes, I know they are overspending in my scenario above, but you’ve got NE and KC out there, among others, who could bolster their WR room and are willing to do whatever is needed to win now. 1 Quote
FieldGeneral Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Without a reworked deal for a star and us giving a team another early draft selection, we'll be trading for another rental. Sadly this hasn't worked before, but Beane keeps doing 10 game rental trades. Quote

It's a down year for Wide Receiver help in Free Agency in the coming offseason. Alec Pierce and Hollywood Brown could be helpful, but the Colts and Chiefs aren't selling parts. They're firmly in the hunt. Even if they were they wouldn't help us out. At this point with Olave clearly unavailable, the only hope we have at any sort of big fish is to just blow Jacksonville's new GM away with an offer for BTJ. It's unlikely, but you have to try. Likely, it's Shaheed and hope Gabe Davis is close, have them take the place of Shavers and Moore on the roster, and hope for the best. Edited 14 hours ago by BillsFanForever19 Quote

Maine-iac Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago (edited) No draft capitol. Just sign Robbie Chosen off the Commanders practice squad. Guy ran a 4.36 40 coming out. He's had good production in the NFL and had 4 catches when the Commanders called him up just a week ago. Not my favorite WR but AJ Brown isn't available and Chosen has the speed and experience to maybe make a difference where the rest of the 4.6 guys we have do not. Worst case scenario it doesn't cost us a thing other than a roster spot. Edited 12 hours ago by Maine-iac 1 Quote
BillsFanForever19 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago We've got a QB with WR's that can't open. Rashid Shaheed is a WR who can get open, but a QB that can't hit him. 3 Quote

Sometimes they do get open and Josh misses them. Sometimes Josh fails to anticipate them coming open and bails from the pocket. Sometimes Josh is inaccurate. Sometimes the receivers drop it or fail to get feet down in bounds. Quote

Straight down the field he’s iffy. He hasn’t gotten the rainbow throw down in games consistently for some reason. Quote
Warriorspikes51 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago this needs to happen by tomorrow afternoon and whoever it is needs to play vs KC and make some impact 1 1 Quote
Walking Tall Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago They have to figure out something. Coleman is on the field 70 percent of the time. I’m being honest when I say I’d rather see Gabe Davis out there (not 70 percent of snaps), Coleman deactivated and some type of trade if they can swing it. If they can’t swing a trade I’m still on board with Davis being activated when healthy and Coleman deactivated. Coleman is an albatross. 1 Quote
SC STATE NUPE Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I’d really take a look at Jerry Jeudy. He’s 26 and coming off of a 1200 yard receiving campaign. He has fire and passion. We’re lacking passion on offense. Even James has tried to be a little more passionate, but he’s a quiet guy. We have too many choir boys. And I know it’s not possible, but I’d kick the tires on Myles Garrett. I know he signed last year, but he’s clearly not happy there. He had 5 sacks yesterday. Imagine him on this defense going against the Pats these next 4 years. Give up Groot, some firsts and whatever else they want. But Jeudy is my pick for a receiver… 1 Quote

2003Contenders Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I'm wondering if J. Jeudy may not be the most logical and realistic option at this point? He is in a terrible situation in Cleveland (only saw 2 passes thrown his direction yesterday), has had some success in the past, still has some tread on his tires, and Beane has had a working relationship with the Browns front office in the past. Also, a trade like this wouldn't cost an arm and a leg, I am guessing a mid-round pick? 2 1 Quote

No reason to talk about him. Jeudy makes sense…. But the browns would incur an additional 28+M in dead cap if they move him. I don’t think it’s possible, but not positive 1 Quote

When watching the all 22 I see Coleman getting open a lot more than people are crediting him for. He is not getting thrown the ball. Versus the dolphins and saints I saw him wide open on Dig routes and the ball goes elsewhere. Yesterday I saw him open on about 5 plays that I have seen so far and the ball goes elsewhere or like yesterday Josh made that weird in between throw between coleman and kincaid that was a worm burner. The other thing I have noticed is that after plays where coleman was open but didn't get the ball Josh seems to force him the next ball. The big one was that saints game, he didn't give him the ball on the deep dig where he was wide open and threw to knox incomplete but then the next play was the interception which he threw late and forced to coleman on the go route. I have more hope for coleman than most and I think he needs to be thrown the ball more. I also think they should be taking at least one deep shot a game to samuel. 2 Quote

But I want Jeudy over all those other receivers. He’s really the only one that could turn into a one. Those other guys are “JAGs” who would be blockers and targeted 1-2 times a game. We need somebody who is a real receiver… 1 Quote
