BillsFanForever19 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) You honestly think that the New York Jets would choose to trade Garrett Wilson, who would have no shortage of suitors, in the Division to a rival? No way. We'd have to significantly outbid every one else to make them do that. Which given where our Draft Picks are thought of to be would be beyond what would be irresponsible to pay for any other position but a Quarterback. Edited 3 hours ago by BillsFanForever19 1 Quote
NickelCity Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Garrett Wilson is a stud. But they won't trade him to us. 1 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago They just signed him this past offseason to a 4 year 130 million dollar deal. He’s not available even if the Bills were interested 1 Quote

It’s the Jets, they don’t exactly have the best track record of making good decisions. Quote

Success Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Olave seems like a more realistic target. Very unlikely the Jets trade a player of that caliber within the division. Quote
Fleezoid Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I love the idea! But as previously mentioned, the Jets own him for now. He will get continuously frustrated if the Jets can't find a QB and coaching staff. But Glenn is likely gone soon.....so?? Quote
Mc1320 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Get real - if they were going to trade him they certainly wouldn’t trade him to a team in their own division. 1 Quote

Yeah, no. These are professionals. They aren't going to take picks from a team that generally picks around 30 instead of teams who will have better picks (and there surely will be teams with better picks) AND to a Division Rival. I remember seeing this line of thinking when posters were talking about Jerry Jones potentially trading for James Cook before the Draft. I'd point out that the potential trades they'd post didn't match trade value charts and i'd get "well ya see, Jerry Jones is teh dumb". That's not based in reality. As dumb as you think certain teams are, they aren't so dumb as to take lesser offers and trade in division if they don't have to. They wouldn't have to with Garrett Wilson and where we pick, we'd have to offer a lot more than others. Not only bc we're in Division, but because our picks are consistently about as low as they can be. Our 2nd is basically a 3rd. Edited 2 hours ago by BillsFanForever19 Quote
MJS Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) I'm sure they are dying to trade one of their best players to a division rival. And do you think any owners or front offices care if players are "wasting away" on their team? Players are a means to win games and sell tickets. If they are achieving those goals, they do not care if a player is having personal success or not. Players are commodities to be bought, sold, and traded for the good of THEIR team. A player having a successful career anywhere else means nothing to them, nor should it. Edited 2 hours ago by MJS Quote

Brand J Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Sure, just to watch him disappear in Brady’s offense. Quote
